Spotify for Podcasters is now Spotify for Creators - find out more.
We’re thrilled that Stream On—Spotify’s March 8th event dedicated to new audio innovations—was a success, especially for creators looking to make 2023 their biggest year yet.
During the event, several creator-focused tools were unveiled that make Spotify an even more powerful platform to create, manage, and grow your podcast. We’ve mapped out the notable moments below, including highlight clips so you can hear about them directly.
Learn about the announcements here:
Anchor and the pre-existing Spotify for Podcasters brand have combined into one free, all-in-one podcast tool built to help creators of all levels make and manage a podcast. Distribution on every major podcast listening platform is free—and creators continue to have access to video podcasts and the Spotify Audience Network for advanced monetization.
Features within Spotify for Podcasters, like Q&A and polls, are now available globally, regardless of where you are hosted, which allow creators to spark conversations around every episode and deepen connections with fans.
A global series of workshops that will provide creative opportunities in our world-class production studios, advice from Spotify experts, and connections with fellow podcasters and artists.
The new, more visual Spotify homepage emphasizes discovery across music, podcasts, and audiobooks—plus allows listeners to preview your show right from their home feed with podcast previews. Podcast previews are automatically generated and work with both audio and video podcasts—providing a powerful new way that Spotify can grow your audience.
A new feature which makes it easy for listeners to browse episodes by topic or section when creators add timestamps in their episode descriptions.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about these new tools and features, and we can’t wait to see what you create with them. With the new Spotify for Podcasters, there are so many ways to express yourself, grow your show, and talk where the world listens. Be sure to watch the full Stream On event for all the podcasting innovations happening at Spotify.
