We recently unveiled the Spotify Partner Program, a powerful program that allows creators like you to build a diversified revenue model with minimal effort. We’re now bringing the program to more creators globally with our expansion of the program to nine new countries on April 29th: France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, and New Zealand.

This expansion gives even more eligible creators easy access to multiple revenue streams to help them transform their show into a sustainable business, all backed by the power of our teams and technology at Spotify. And, if you are already a part of the Spotify Partner Program, this market expansion means that you have even more access to Premium video revenue from Spotify Premium subscribers in new countries.

Since the program began in January, creators are already seeing results, with payouts in January increasing by 300% compared to the same time period a year ago. In addition, hundreds of creators surpassed $10,000 in monthly revenue on Spotify from the Spotify Partner Program in that same time, with the top earners crossing well into six figures in the first month alone.

Here’s how Premium video revenue works: When Spotify Premium subscribers in select markets stream your video episodes, they’ll experience your content without dynamic ads, creating an uninterrupted viewing experience. And for those streams, instead of earning any ad revenue, you can earn payouts from Spotify based on how much they stream your content. Publishing video as a part of the Spotify Partner Program is more than just a revenue opportunity, it’s also a win for your Spotify Premium subscriber fans in these markets who get a more streamlined viewing experience, uninterrupted by dynamic ads in select markets. 

Don’t just take our word for it: Since joining the Spotify Partner Program this year Ghost Huns, a top 10 comedy horror podcast, has seen their Premium video revenue surpass their historical ad earnings, with podcast earnings overall growing by 30% in the month after making the shift.

 

The Spotify Partner Program has helped us increase our podcast earnings while letting our fans to watch our weekly eppys without being haunted by extra ads. 

People who are not Spotify Premium subscribers in these markets, or people who listen to any non-video episodes you may publish on or off-Spotify, can still stream your episodes with dynamic ads (wherever ads are available), and you can continue to earn revenue for any ads that play on those episodes.
