Between Seasons: Finding Clarity in the Midst of Life’s Transitions – featuring Kacy Cooper
On this episode of Ideas Into Results, Kacy Cooper joins the show to talk about his new journal, Between Seasons, which was born out of experiencing uncertain seasons in his life.
Between Seasons was created for moments when life doesn’t come with clear answers.
Where families grieve and heal.
Where identities shift.
Where dreams are refined.
Where faith is tested.
Where we quietly become who we’re meant to be.
It’s for the pauses between decisions, identities, roles, and chapters — when something has ended, but what comes next hasn’t fully taken shape.
This work is rooted in reflection, honesty, and trust —offering space to slow down, ask better questions, and move forward gently.
Kacy also shares insights from his 20 years working in the human resources field. Specifically, he explains what it means to “Humanize HR” and treat people with the dignity and respect they deserve. It’s about helping leaders understand how their decisions and actions affect the people they lead.
Don’t miss this conversation! It will inspire you, it will equip you, and it will encourage you.

The Pitfalls That Can Derail Your Leadership (and How to Avoid Them) - featuring Karen Pelot
Leaders rarely fail because of a single dramatic mistake— it’s the quiet, everyday pitfalls that slowly erode trust, weaken teams, and cap a leader’s impact. In this episode, Karen Pelot joins the podcast to breakdown the most common traps leaders fall into and how to avoid them.
From the foundational role of trust — both predictive trust (“Can I rely on you?”) and relational trust (“Do you actually care about me?”) — to the consequences of inconsistent or unclear communication, we explore why teams disengage long before they speak up.
We also dig into the dangers of leading from ego: believing you have all the answers, resisting vulnerability, and shutting down feedback that could make you better. Finally, we look at why so many leaders struggle with criticism and how learning to handle it well becomes a competitive advantage.
This episode gives leaders a roadmap for self-awareness, stronger relationships, and healthier, higher‑performing teams.
Karen Pelot is the founder and managing practitioner of PERSPECTIVES, which started in 2007 as a mediation firm. 3 Questions to Help You Achieve Your Goals in 2025
Now, ask yourself three questions:
What specific results do you need to achieve in 2025 to consider the year a success?
Why do you need to achieve these results?
What will you do, starting today, to take intentional action and position yourself for success?
The first question is about direction – you must have clarity about where you are going this year and what success looks like.
The second question focuses on inspiration – the “why” behind your goals will drive and motivate you when things get tough and you feel like giving up.
The final question is all about action – the daily steps you will take to build the habits necessary for achieving success.
Every January, we can wipe the slate clean and have a fresh start, but we often miss this opportunity and coast through the start of the year without giving it much thought.
This year, I want to challenge you to think differently by taking time to be intentional about your goals. Whether it’s business, physical, relational, financial, developmental, or something else, you must get clear about answering these three questions if you want to achieve your goals and make this year different.

The feeling of fear never goes away, but your confidence grows as you face your fears and act anyway.
Overthinking will prevent you from facing your fears; it will paralyze you and keep you where you are today instead of where you want to be in the future.
Fear will rob you of achieving your potential. You are capable of more than you realize.
