Selma Kadiric: Building VAgency as a Premium Virtual Assistant Company
Selma Kadiric is the Founder of VAgency Limited, a UK-based virtual assistance company dedicated to giving busy professionals and small business owners back their most valuable resource: time. With over 14 years of executive support experience, Selma has built VAgency on a foundation of professionalism, discretion, and genuine long-term partnership — values she believes set the business apart in a rapidly expanding market.
## Who Is Selma Kadiric and What Is VAgency Limited?
Selma Kadiric is a UK-based entrepreneur and the founder of VAgency Limited, a virtual assistance firm that serves founders, consultants, creatives, and small business owners. Having spent more than a decade working in high-level executive and administrative support roles — including work with organisations such as Roots Academy and TechQuarters — Selma channelled that expertise into founding VAgency. Her background spans executive assistant and PA functions, operations management, calendar and inbox management, bookkeeping, travel arrangements, and broader business support.
VAgency's philosophy centres on pairing clients with consistent, long-term support rather than a revolving door of freelancers. The company operates with strict GDPR compliance and professional indemnity insurance, making confidentiality and data integrity a cornerstone of its offering.
## What Services Does VAgency Offer?
VAgency provides a comprehensive range of remote business support services, including:
- **Executive and personal assistance** — calendar management, inbox management, and communications
- **Operations support** — internal project coordination, document handling, and process organisation
- **Bookkeeping and administrative support**
- **Travel arrangements and personal shopping**
- **Research and data management**
The firm targets clients who value warmth, clear communication, and trust — and who are ready to delegate, even when that feels uncomfortable.
## Why Is the Virtual Assistant Market Growing So Rapidly in the UK?
VAgency operates within one of the UK's fastest-growing professional services sectors. The UK virtual assistant services market was valued at approximately USD 773 million in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 4.3 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of around 33.9%. Demand is being driven by the normalisation of remote work, rising costs of full-time hires, and the increasing need for flexible, scalable operational support among smaller businesses and founder-led companies.
For clients, the economics are compelling: engaging a virtual assistant eliminates overhead costs associated with a permanent employee — no employer's National Insurance, no office space, and no recruitment fees — with businesses paying only for the hours and tasks they need.
## What Makes VAgency Different From Other Virtual Assistant Businesses?
Selma has positioned VAgency not as a traditional VA marketplace but as a dedicated partnership model. Clients who work with VAgency are matched with Selma and her team for ongoing, relationship-driven support — rather than task-by-task transactions. This approach is reflected in the consistent, high-quality testimonials VAgency has received from clients across the charity, technology, and entrepreneurial sectors.
Selma is multilingual — fluent in English, Bosnian, and Croatian — which extends the firm's capability for international clients and cross-border tasks. VAgency has also earned broader industry recognition: Selma has been featured in Business Insider and is a recipient of the Global Recognition Award.

## Key Takeaways

Arnaud Beaumesnil on Natural Born Seller & Human-Centric Sales
## Who Is Arnaud Beaumesnil and What Is Natural Born Seller?
Arnaud Beaumesnil is a French-born, internationally experienced sales executive and the author of *Natural Born Seller* — a book that challenges conventional sales wisdom by arguing that great selling is rooted in understanding people, not in persuasion tactics. Drawing on thirty years of international leadership — including a notable tenure at Cisco, where he drove extraordinary cybersecurity growth results — Beaumesnil brings a rare blend of frontline credibility and philosophical depth to the world of sales.
In this episode, journalist Myles sits down with Arnaud to explore the ideas behind the book, the career journey that shaped them, and what modern professionals can learn from a more human, trust-first approach to sales.
---
## What Is Natural Born Seller About?
*Natural Born Seller* is Arnaud Beaumesnil's argument that selling, at its core, is a deeply human act. Rather than focusing on closing techniques or manipulation, the book positions trust-building, cultural intelligence, and authentic connection as the foundations of lasting commercial success. Beaumesnil draws on his own path — from his early years in Le Mans, France, through decades in global technology companies — to illustrate that resilience and empathy are more powerful sales tools than any script or tactic.
The book is available in English, French, and Spanish, reflecting Beaumesnil's genuinely international perspective and career.
---
## What Can Sales Professionals Learn from Arnaud Beaumesnil's Career?
Beaumesnil's career is a case study in what he preaches. During his time at Cisco, he achieved a remarkable 77x growth factor in cybersecurity results and hit 397% of his sales targets — numbers that speak directly to the effectiveness of his human-centric methodology. Rather than treating these as benchmarks of aggressive salesmanship, he frames them as the natural output of building genuine relationships and deeply understanding client needs.
### From Le Mans to Global Tech Boardrooms
Beaumesnil's journey from the streets of Le Mans to the boardrooms of global technology companies is itself a lesson in adaptability and cultural intelligence. His international career gave him first-hand experience navigating different cultures, business environments, and client expectations — experience that forms the backbone of his thinking in *Natural Born Seller*.
---
## Why Does Beaumesnil Believe Selling Is About Understanding, Not Persuasion?
The central thesis of *Natural Born Seller* is that the most effective salespeople are not the loudest, the most charismatic, or the most technically polished — they are the ones who listen most deeply and understand most clearly. Beaumesnil argues that authentic connection and trust are what drive sustainable commercial results, particularly in complex, international, and enterprise-level sales environments.
This philosophy is consistent with a broader shift in modern sales thinking, away from transactional, pressure-based models and towards consultative, relationship-driven approaches.
---
## About the Book: Natural Born Seller
*Natural Born Seller* by Arnaud Beaumesnil is published and available worldwide through Amazon in English, French, and Spanish. It is positioned as both a personal narrative and a practical framework for anyone who sells — from individual contributors to senior leaders — offering a philosophy of selling grounded in humanity, empathy, and long-term relationship building.

Context of an Organisation – Addressing the Issues
ACI Global Episode 92: Ian Erskine, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Global and E-Quip, draws on more than 40 years of experience working with organisations and people to explore a simple but often overlooked question: how well do organisations really understand and address their Issues? The conversation looks at the context of an organisation and why Issues should be identified and dealt with as they arise, rather than being allowed to develop into foreseeable Risks. Ian explains that an Issue is something happening now that requires attention and action, while a Risk is something that may happen in the future. Too often, an Issue is ignored, and it is only when the consequences appear that people recognise the Risk that was already there.
A central theme of the discussion is Issues and the importance of paying attention to what is happening around us. Ian looks at how simple observation, common sense and good organisational culture can make a real difference. His approach of Observation, Assessment, Act, Monitor and Evaluate provides a practical way of dealing with Issues before they become bigger problems. An Issues Log, together with regular reviews of the organisation’s internal and external context and PESTLE factors, can help people see what is changing and what needs attention. Strategy and policies are important, but they only work when people understand them and put them into practice. Regularly reviewing areas such as people, health and wellbeing, quality, environment, information and data helps keep the organisation focused on what really matters.
Ultimately, Ian’s message is about People and creating an organisation where people feel able to speak up, use their judgement and act when something does not look right. Good governance and due diligence should take account of Issues, organisational values, culture, knowledge and the way people work together. Regularly reviewing Vision, Mission and Values can help keep an organisation moving in the right direction and focused on sustained success. Through ACI Global and initiatives such as the 360 Professional Development Review (PDR) Profile and Continuous Professional Development, Ian continues to emphasise the importance of developing people and capability. The message is straightforward: deal with the Issue before it becomes a Risk. Are Issues avoidable, are Risks foreseeable, and just how surprised do you really want to be?

Solving Tomorrow's Water Challenges
In this episode, we sit down with Shubhee Saxena, Project Engineer and Environmental and Water Resources Specialist whose career spans the United Nations, the World Bank, international development agencies, government bodies, and nonprofit organisations across multiple countries.
Shubhee's path into this field began at home. Her father, an Energy Engineer and Water and Sanitation Expert, brought her along to community engagement efforts from an early age, keeping her grounded in the reality of how environmental decisions affect real people. That foundation shaped everything that followed: two Master's degrees, one from the US in Water and Environmental Engineering and one from the UK through a Commonwealth Scholarship, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and a career deliberately built across private, governmental, and non-governmental sectors to develop the most complete possible understanding of how environmental challenges are identified and solved at every level.
In this conversation, Shubhee shares what those different vantage points have taught her: how a problem looks different when viewed from an international organisation versus a national agency versus a local community, and how solutions that work at one level do not always translate to another. She also maps the biggest water and environmental challenges facing communities today, including aging infrastructure, access inequality, water scarcity, and increasingly erratic climate patterns, and explains why these are not abstract policy concerns but immediate threats to everyday life.
She also makes a compelling case for why no single field can solve these problems alone. Engineering, sustainability, public health, and community engagement are not parallel tracks. They are multiple streams that have to converge to sustain the communities they serve.
The episode closes with Shubhee's perspective on how AI is beginning to transform the water and environmental sectors, and what she believes individuals can do to make a meaningful difference.

Sustaining a Quality Organisation: Governance, Risk & Future-Ready Leadership
In this episode, we sit down with Ian Erskine, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Global and e-Quip, for the 91st episode in his ongoing Xraised series and the second part of his two-part series on Understanding Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability, and the Quality of an Organisation. Where Episode 90 laid the foundations, this episode focuses on putting it all into practice through governance, risk management, human rights, people development, and continuous improvement.
Ian opens with the question that anchors the entire episode: is risk really avoidable, or is it foreseeable? And just how surprised does an organisation want to be? He walks through what a genuine due diligence governance framework looks like in practice, covering how to verify that partner organisations are legally registered, structurally compatible, technically capable, financially controlled, and well-regarded in the communities they serve. The message is direct: you cannot walk away from risk management or defer it to another day.
The conversation then addresses why a Modern Slavery Policy and a Code of Conduct are not compliance documents but foundational expressions of an organisation's commitment to human rights and ethical leadership, rooted in the universality principles of ISO 26000.
Ian also explains how total quality management, knowledge management, and mentoring connect to the capability of an organisation's people, and why sustained success ultimately depends on assessing and developing the competence, skills, and judgment of every individual at every level.
The episode closes with a practical five-step framework for implementing ACI Global's e-Quip ISO Quality TQM Professional Development Solutions, from SWOT assessment and software customisation through to training, monitoring, and continuous improvement, giving any leader a clear and immediate first step toward stronger governance and long-term sustainability.

Engineering Safer Smarter Vehicle Systems
In this episode, we sit down with Mahesh Kumar Shanmugam, Control Systems Engineer specialising in vehicle controls, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, battery-electric vehicle technologies, functional safety, diagnostics, and AI-enabled systems for commercial transportation.
Mahesh's entry into control systems began in automobile engineering, where his fascination with how mechanical systems, electronics, and software interact to determine physical vehicle behaviour led him steadily toward the field where those decisions have the most direct real-world consequence. Over nearly eight years, he has expanded his work across Class 8 commercial vehicles, ADAS integration, J1939 vehicle-network communication, battery-electric diagnostics, production readiness, and system-level validation, while currently advancing his expertise in artificial intelligence.
In this conversation, Mahesh explains what makes complex control-system problems so difficult to diagnose: they almost never live in one component. An issue that appears as a fault in a single electronic control unit can involve sensor inputs, communication between multiple controllers, software configuration, calibration, wiring, and vehicle dynamics simultaneously. His approach starts with the intended vehicle behaviour, traces the full information path from sensor or driver input through to actuator and HMI, and follows the evidence rather than the fault code.
He shares real examples from his work, including Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, and hill-start and grade-hold functionality for battery-electric commercial vehicles, explaining how each depends on many systems working correctly together and what it takes to validate them under real operating conditions.
He also discusses how AI fits into this work, particularly in anomaly detection and predictive diagnostics, while making clear that in safety-critical commercial vehicles, AI must be paired with explainable engineering logic, functional safety principles, and rigorous real-world validation.
For anyone working in automotive engineering, commercial vehicle technology, or the future of AI in transportation, this is a grounded and technically rich conversation.

The Cost of Broken Systems
In this episode, we welcome back Shannon Kacherovich, Actuary, Founder and CEO of Lorem Spring, for her 14th Xraised appearance and the third installment of her ongoing series, When Justice Systems Break. This episode zooms in on the real-world impact of systemic failure across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and the incentive structures that shape both.
Shannon opens with a forensic critique of pharmaceutical advertising, the way direct-to-consumer drug ads have normalised accepting serious side effects in exchange for the feeling of taking action, and how the chain of incentives between manufacturers, pharmacy benefit managers, middlemen, and doctors creates a system where nobody with authority over the outcome has any genuine stake in whether the patient actually gets better. The business model, she argues, depends on people remaining unwell and returning for more.
The conversation then moves into the intermediaries, including pharmacy benefit managers and managed care organisations, who operate without skin in the game and whose financial interests are structurally misaligned with patient outcomes. Shannon explains how these incentive distortions are not accidental but embedded features of a system that profits from ongoing dependency rather than resolution.
She also draws on her own firsthand experience navigating the intersection of healthcare and the legal system, including courts that refuse to compel medical testimony or records, attorneys who bill without accountability, and outcomes that appear to be decided before the courtroom proceedings even begin. Trust in institutions, she argues, erodes not just emotionally but practically, because businesses learn from failed court processes how to operate with greater impunity.
The episode closes with Shannon's raw and unfiltered view of what meaningful reform would actually require, and why she believes most people are not yet willing to confront how deep the problem goes.

Engineering a Sustainable Future
In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Michael K. J. Milligan, Chief Executive Officer of ABET, the nonprofit ISO 9001 certified quality assurance organisation that has been shaping the future of higher education in engineering, technology, computing, and applied science for decades.
Since joining ABET in 2009, Dr. Milligan has led an organisation that now accredits over 4,600 academic programs across 42 countries, representing 34 technical and professional societies and graduating more than 200,000 students every year. The scale of that reach gives ABET a unique position of influence in how the next generation of STEM professionals is educated, equipped, and prepared to address the most pressing challenges of their time.
In this conversation, Dr. Milligan shares how sustainability has become an increasingly important dimension of ABET's mission and strategic direction. He explains why quality education and sustainability are not separate conversations but deeply connected ones, and how the engineers, technologists, and scientists that ABET-accredited programs produce are precisely the people who will be designing the solutions a more sustainable world requires.
The discussion also explores how sustainability is changing the conversation across engineering and technology education more broadly, and why academic institutions are increasingly expected not just to teach sustainability concepts but to embed them into how they operate and engage with their communities.
Dr. Milligan shares his vision for what success looks like for ABET's sustainability journey over the next few years, and what it means for an organisation of ABET's reach and credibility to model the values it promotes in its accreditation standards.
For educators, institutional leaders, engineers, and anyone thinking seriously about how higher education can contribute to a safer, more efficient, and more sustainable world, this is a meaningful and forward-looking conversation.

Exit Right, Exit Confidently
In this episode, we sit down with Max Beairsto, President of EVCOR, certified valuation analyst, transaction advisor, and author of Exit Right: From Ownership to Retirement, the practical Canadian guide to preparing, positioning, and successfully selling a privately held business.
Max's path into this work is deeply personal. He watched his grandfather's hardware store close without ever realizing the true value of its goodwill and customer relationships. He saw his father sell his own business sub-optimally by going it alone. And he experienced the difference firsthand when, after struggling to sell his own business himself, he hired a broker and the sale succeeded. Those three experiences gave him a perspective that most advisors do not have: he has sat on every side of the table, as an owner, as a buyer at Katz Group responsible for acquisitions across Western Canada, and as the advisor guiding others through the process.
In this conversation, Max shares what inspired Exit Right, the common and costly mistakes he kept seeing business owners make, and why the most dangerous of them all is waiting too long to plan. By the time burnout, illness, or an unexpected offer forces the conversation, the best planning opportunities, including corporate restructuring, tax efficiency, and value-building, are often already gone.
He also walks through what a successful exit actually looks like beyond the price, how to reduce owner dependency, clean up financials, and build a business someone else can confidently step into, and why the exit plan should start years before the owner feels ready to leave.
For any Canadian business owner in their 40s, 50s, or 60s, this conversation could be the most important one they listen to this year.

Understanding Social Responsibility and the Quality of an Organisation
In this episode, we sit down with Ian Erskine, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Global and e-Quip, for the 90th episode in his ongoing Xraised series and the first of a two-part series titled Understanding Social Responsibility and the Quality of an Organisation. This milestone episode takes a foundational approach to ISO 26000:2010, unpacking how Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability work together to build organisations that genuinely earn trust, accountability, and long-term sustained success.
Ian opens by making something clear that is often misunderstood: CSR cannot function unless organisations truly understand sustainability in its fullest sense, not as a reporting exercise but as the overarching objective of maximising contribution to sustainable development, including the development of their people. That framing shifts the conversation from compliance to culture.
The episode then works through the seven principles of social responsibility as defined in ISO 26000, beginning with accountability. Ian explains what it means for an organisation to be genuinely answerable, not just to controlling interests and legal authorities, but to those affected by its decisions and to society as a whole. He addresses ethical behaviour in depth, covering how organisations should identify core values, build governance structures that promote ethical conduct, and create safe mechanisms for reporting wrongdoing without fear of reprisal.
The conversation also explores how ACI Global has gone further than the standard requires by adopting two additional principles of its own: a Social License built on digital equity and a learning guarantee, and an explicit commitment to environmental sustainability.
The episode closes with a practical discussion on stakeholder engagement and how balancing the interests of all parties, including those with no formal governance role, is what ultimately defines the quality of an organisation.

Beyond the AI Hype
In this episode, we sit down with Sharath Subrahmanya, Senior Solutions Consultant at Google specialising in cloud-native customer experience solutions, AI-powered contact center transformation, and enterprise cloud migration strategy.
Sharath's career path is genuinely distinctive. Starting in product lifecycle management in India, he moved through hybrid cloud deployments at NetApp before joining Google Cloud, where his focus shifted toward transforming how modern contact centers operate using AI to improve agent workflows and elevate the experience for end customers. He sits at the intersection of deep technical architecture and high-level business strategy, a position that gives him a rare ability to translate between the two.
In this conversation, Sharath shares what organisations are really struggling with when they first come to him: legacy data silos, scaling limitations in customer support platforms, and the challenge of turning AI hype into measurable business outcomes. He also addresses one of the most persistent misconceptions in enterprise technology: the assumption that cloud migration is a simple lift-and-shift exercise that delivers immediate cost savings without requiring architectural optimisation or financial governance. It is not, and the gap between that assumption and reality is where many transformations stall.
He also makes a point that deserves more attention than it typically gets. Organisations cannot bolt advanced AI onto a foundation of poor, siloed legacy data and expect results. Getting the data infrastructure right is not a precondition to AI. It is the work itself.
The conversation closes with Sharath's philosophy on building long-term client relationships, what he calls a relentless focus on Day Two reality, ensuring clients have a practical plan for sustainable adoption, governance, and ROI long after the initial implementation is complete.
For technology leaders, IT decision-makers, and anyone navigating cloud or AI transformation, this is a grounded and practical conversation.

Building Smarter Software, Greener Futures
In this episode, we sit down with Robert Markovski, Founder and CEO of Prilog, the AI-powered software maintenance agent that closes the gap between knowing something is wrong in production and actually fixing it, automatically.
Robert opens with a problem every engineering leader will recognise immediately. The observability industry has given teams extraordinary tools: every log ingested, every trace correlated, every anomaly surfaced on a beautiful dashboard. And then a senior engineer gets paged at 2am to go fix it by hand. That gap between knowing and fixing, what Robert calls the remediation gap, is quietly draining engineering teams of their most valuable resource: the time and focus of their best people.
Prilog was built to close that gap. Sitting on top of existing observability stacks including Datadog, Grafana, SigNoz, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and the major cloud platforms, Prilog ingests logs, alerts, and incidents, clusters recurring issues, maps them to the responsible code, and generates reviewable pull requests. From alert to root cause to shipped fix, without manual intervention.
In this conversation, Robert shares the founding story behind Prilog, what he learned running production systems at scale at his previous company mozok, and why the remediation gap became impossible to ignore once he had lived inside it. He also walks through what makes Prilog fundamentally different from another dashboard or another generic AI code generation tool: it is the missing remediation layer that no monitoring product has ever provided.
The episode also explores Prilog's partnership with Evertreen and why connecting a technology company built around reducing waste and inefficiency with a reforestation initiative felt like a natural and meaningful extension of the same values.

Addressing Issues within an Organisation’s Governance Framework & Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR)
In this episode, we sit down with Ian Erskine, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Global and e-Quip, for the 89th episode in his ongoing Xraised series. Building directly on Episode 88, Ian goes deeper into the practical application of ISO 26000:2010, moving through all six core subjects of social responsibility and challenging organisations to treat ethical governance and corporate social responsibility as everyday operational commitments rather than compliance exercises.
Ian opens with a question that frames the entire conversation: just how surprised do you really want to be? Risk is rarely unforeseeable, and for organisations willing to observe, listen, and apply due diligence consistently, most issues can be identified and addressed before they become crises. That mindset, he argues, is the foundation of a genuine governance framework.
The conversation works through each core subject in sequence. On human rights, Ian addresses due diligence, complicity avoidance, and the protection of vulnerable groups with direct reference to what is happening in the world right now. On labour practices, he returns to a theme central to all his work: sustained success begins at onboarding and depends entirely on how an organisation develops, engages, and protects its people throughout the employment relationship.
On the environment, he connects sustainability and biodiversity protection to lifecycle thinking and everyday organisational culture. On fair operating practices, he makes the case for going public with policies including a Code of Conduct and Modern Slavery Policy, not as box-ticking but as a demonstration of genuine commitment. On consumer issues, he draws a direct line to total quality management. And on community involvement, he closes by showing how knowledge management, continuous professional development, and future-ready leadership create lasting value beyond the organisation itself.

The Business of Better Relationships
Description (300 words):
In this episode, we sit down with Mattia Di Silverio, Founder and CEO of Dapper, a private dating management concierge built for high-performing men who have built a strong life professionally but feel their dating life does not yet reflect the same level of intentionality, confidence, or quality.
Dapper is not a traditional matchmaking agency. It does not simply introduce two people and hope for the best. The service manages the full dating journey in a structured way, from positioning and confidence building through to guidance, reflection, and helping members develop a genuine understanding of what kind of partner actually makes sense for them. The goal, as Mattia puts it, is not more dates. It is better clarity.
In this conversation, Mattia shares the personal experience that gave rise to Dapper. At one point in his life he had abundance, options, and opportunity, but discovered that without real connection behind it, abundance alone becomes empty. That shift changed how he thought about dating entirely, and became the foundation for a service designed to help other men make the same transition with more structure, support, and self-awareness.
He also addresses why high-performing men so often struggle in dating even when they are excelling everywhere else. Success in business does not automatically translate into emotional clarity. Many men spend years building their professional foundation and arrive at a point where the personal side of life has simply not kept pace. Dating requires vulnerability, self-awareness, and an understanding of old patterns that business success does not prepare you for.
The episode closes with Mattia's vision of the transformation Dapper members experience, moving from dating out of scarcity or ego to dating from genuine clarity and confidence.

Building Reliable Technology
In this episode, we sit down with Krishna Vinnakota, Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Microsoft working on Azure Cosmos DB, IEEE Senior Member, and a veteran of over two decades building and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps some of the world's most critical technology platforms running.
Krishna's introduction to site reliability engineering came through reading Google's foundational SRE book while working as a Systems Engineer at Amazon, focused on infrastructure at scale. What fascinated him immediately was SRE's multi-disciplinary nature, the idea that software engineering principles could be applied directly to IT operations to make systems more reliable, more observable, and more resilient. That realisation led him to Microsoft, where he has spent the majority of his career, with a two-year chapter at TikTok optimising the Real-Time Communications infrastructure behind TikTok Live.
In this conversation, Krishna shares the one lesson that has stayed with him across every company he has worked at: reliability starts with customer obsession. Understanding technology deeply matters, but it is the mindset of protecting the customer experience that motivates teams to build systems that genuinely hold up under pressure.
He also walks through what a typical day actually looks like for a senior SRE: debugging production incidents, writing automation to eliminate manual toil, improving alerting and observability, collaborating on critical feature launches, and mentoring newer team members. The breadth is part of what keeps him engaged after more than 20 years in the field.
The episode closes with Krishna's perspective on how AI is reshaping the SRE discipline, why reliability is becoming the defining competitive differentiator in an era where anyone can write and ship code, and what organisations should start preparing for today.

How Virtual Doo Grows Businesses & Forests
In this episode, we sit down with Lloyd Thompson, Founder and CEO of VirtualDOO, the fractional Director of Operations service helping service businesses between $1 million and $15 million in revenue build the operational infrastructure to scale without the founder being involved in every decision.
Lloyd opens with the problem he sees consistently across law firms, marketing agencies, consultancies, and e-commerce brands: a founder who built something real, hit a revenue ceiling, and is now trapped in the day-to-day running of a business that should be running without them. VirtualDOO diagnoses what is keeping the founder stuck in operations, creates a clear plan to extract them from the daily management layer, and then implements that plan on a month-to-month basis with no long-term lock-ins.
In this conversation, Lloyd shares the philosophy behind both his business and his partnership with Evertreen. He draws a direct parallel between tree planting and the way he helps founders think about long-term growth: the results are not immediate, they compound over time, and the most important first step is understanding where you actually want to go before deciding how to get there.
He also opens up about the book that has shaped the way he leads, The Go-Giver, and why his daily goal of helping someone without expecting anything in return has become one of the most reliable patterns he has observed in truly successful business owners. Evertreen, he explains, is simply another vehicle for that same giving philosophy, one that extends to his globally distributed team as well.
For any founder who feels like their business owns them rather than the other way around, this episode is the conversation to start with.

ISO 26000 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & an Organisation’s Governance Framework
In this episode, we sit down with Ian Erskine, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Global and e-Quip, for the 88th episode in his ongoing Xraised series. With over 40 years of experience helping organisations across global industries achieve excellence, corporate social responsibility, and sustained success, Ian delivers what is arguably one of the most important episodes in the entire series: a comprehensive breakdown of ISO 26000:2010 and what it means to build a genuine corporate social responsibility framework from the inside out.
ISO 26000 is not a management system standard and it is not available for certification. That distinction is fundamental, and Ian addresses it directly and without ambiguity. Any organisation claiming certification against ISO 26000 is misrepresenting its purpose. Its value lies not in a certificate but in providing every type of organisation, regardless of size, sector, or geography, with the guidance to go beyond legal compliance and build a culture of ethical behaviour, due diligence, principled governance, and genuine responsibility toward people, communities, and the environment.
In this conversation, Ian walks through all seven core subjects of ISO 26000: human rights, labour practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and community involvement and development, explaining how a holistic and independent approach to these areas forms the backbone of a credible corporate governance framework.
He also addresses how organisations of all sizes can use ISO 26000 to strengthen their quality culture, total quality management approach, and people development practices, and how its guidance integrates with and reinforces ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and the broader ACI Global framework for accelerating continuous improvement and sustained success.
For any leader serious about building an organisation that earns genuine trust from its people, clients, and wider community, this episode is essential.

Building Technology, Solving Real-World Problems
In this episode, we sit down with Sai Ashrith Gavini, Software Development Engineer with a Master's in Computer Science from the University of North Texas, whose journey from childhood gaming to building production-grade AI systems at scale is as honest as it is inspiring.
Sai opens with the origin story many engineers will recognise: a fascination with computers that started early, a bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication that felt like a detour, and a Master's in Computer Science that finally felt like home. Seeing real solutions built through code was the moment that sealed it, and he has not looked back since.
In this conversation, Sai walks through how different professional environments shaped the way he thinks and builds. His internship at CBRE introduced him to high-velocity development, where small tasks like writing unit tests opened the door to understanding the full software development lifecycle. Working independently on a Generative AI chatbot became a defining project, one that shifted how he approaches problem-solving entirely and reinforced the importance of constant stakeholder feedback to stay grounded in what users actually need rather than what engineers assume they want.
He also shares what keeps him curious in a field that moves faster than most people can track: reading, personal experimentation, and watching how other engineers approach problems. That mindset led him to explore Generative AI frameworks and prepare talks at WebDevCon and ICETIR 2026.
What sets Sai apart, he explains, is not just technical capability but the way he shows up for the people around him. He does not wait for opportunities. He creates them. And he brings a collaborative, high-energy presence that makes the teams he works with better.

When Justice Systems Break
In this episode, we welcome back Shannon Kacherovich, Actuary, Founder and CEO of Lorem Spring, for her 13th Xraised appearance. Picking up directly where Episode 12 left off, this conversation goes deeper into the structural and procedural failures that prevent courts from delivering the justice victims deserve, and the perverse outcomes that follow when systems designed to protect people do exactly the opposite.
Shannon opens with a truth that sits at the heart of her work: the confusion people experience inside court processes is not accidental. It is intrinsic to how those processes are designed, and that lack of explanation leaves victims wondering, filling gaps with rumour and assumption rather than fact. That confusion is a feature of the system, not a bug, and it consistently benefits those with the resources and sophistication to navigate it.
The conversation moves into procedural doctrine, including motions in limine and exclusionary evidence, and how these mechanisms create deliberate holes in the evidentiary record that others fill without any validation of whether what they substitute is accurate. The result is a process where rumour propagates with the same force as established fact.
Shannon also addresses the relationship between lower and appellate courts, making the case that appeal procedures are structured in a way that normalises and even encourages failure at the lower court level rather than correcting it. For victims, that dynamic means compounding harm at every stage rather than finding relief.
She closes with a striking vision for what genuine reform could look like: a business roundtable format with a judge held accountable for ensuring issues are explored in a timely manner without further damage to the person who has already been harmed.

Quality Management - ISO 9001:2026 Revised: What Has Changed? Ethical Behaviour & Quality Culture
In this episode, we sit down with Ian Erskine, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Global and e-Quip, for the 87th episode in his ongoing Xraised series. With over 40 years of experience helping organisations across global industries achieve excellence, corporate social responsibility, and sustained success, Ian returns with one of the most significant conversations in the series yet: a detailed breakdown of what has changed in ISO 9001:2026 and why it matters for every organisation currently certified or planning certification.
This episode focuses on the two most important additions to the standard at FDIS stage: ethical behaviour and quality culture. Ian opens by making clear that while these may appear to be minor additions on the surface, their placement directly within Clause 5 Leadership requirements means they carry full weight as organisational obligations, not aspirations. Quality culture and ethical behaviour are now formally defined as reflected in the shared values, attitudes, and established practices of an organisation, and top management is required to actively promote them.
The conversation explores what ethical behaviour actually looks like in practice beyond policy documents, how organisations should align their quality policy with both ethical expectations and workforce capability, and why the growing presence of emerging technologies makes the human accountability dimension of ISO 9001:2026 more important than ever.
Ian also walks through awareness requirements including total quality management, modern slavery compliance, due diligence governance frameworks, chain of responsibility, and corporate social responsibility, explaining how these connect to form a coherent and practical organisational framework rather than a compliance checklist.
He closes with a clear message: ISO 9001 has never been a compliance standard. Its purpose is conformance that leads to improvement, learning, innovation, and sustained success.

Growing Business Through Sustainability
In this episode, we sit down with Goutam Naithani, Co-Founder and Director of Ecoensa Private Limited, a sustainability enterprise dedicated to restoring biodiversity and reconnecting people with nature through science-backed, community-driven, and technology-enabled environmental solutions.
Goutam brings over 20 years of experience building and scaling businesses across financial services, fintech, cross-border remittances, and operations, including his role as CEO of IME India where he built a nationwide distribution network and drove multi-million-rupee revenue growth. That corporate background shapes the way he thinks about sustainability: not as a cost or a compliance obligation, but as one of the most powerful drivers of long-term resilience, innovation, and inclusive growth.
In this conversation, Goutam shares what led him to co-found Ecoensa after two decades in the corporate world, and why he became convinced that business success and environmental stewardship are not competing priorities but deeply complementary ones. He explains what makes Ecoensa's approach distinctive: an integrated model that brings together biodiversity restoration, carbon solutions, ESG compliance, and community development as interconnected elements of a single transformation rather than separate services.
The episode also explores the partnership with Evertreen, and why technology-enabled impact measurement, traceability, and long-term accountability were the qualities that made Evertreen the right fit. Clients, Goutam explains, no longer accept good intentions. They require credible, verifiable evidence that their sustainability commitments are translating into real outcomes.
He also shares one of the most compelling examples of Ecoensa's community impact: a bird nest installation initiative handcrafted by marginalised women, combining urban biodiversity conservation with women-led economic empowerment in a single initiative.

Predicting Healthcare's Next Move
In this episode, we sit down with Anthony Li, Senior Data Scientist and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of machine learning, healthcare forecasting, and supply chain optimisation, with a focus on making drugs more affordable and accessible for patients across the United States.
Anthony opens with a belief that has driven his entire career: data is power. From investment decisions to pharmaceutical development to protein discovery, the ability to extract meaningful insight from complex data is reshaping what problems humanity can actually solve. What excites him most is that better data science, better machine learning, and better AI tools are unlocking solutions to challenges that were previously considered too difficult to model accurately.
In this conversation, Anthony shares his research into a novel forecasting method for drug use in complex healthcare environments. He explains why accurate demand forecasting matters so much: it determines how much of a drug gets manufactured, ordered, distributed, and ultimately paid for by insurers. When forecasts are wrong, the consequences are real, manufacturing disruptions, supply chain delays, over and understocking, and drug shortages that hit rural communities and vulnerable patients the hardest.
He also walks through the specific challenge his research addresses: forecasting utilisation shifts driven by policy changes rather than the usual manufacturing or epidemiological signals. His approach combines machine learning with external Medicaid enrollment data to capture the kind of sharp directional changes that traditional methods consistently miss.
The episode also covers his early findings on drug pricing during shortages, including the counterintuitive discovery that price pass-through effects vary significantly depending on shortage duration and the number of manufacturers in the market, with implications for policymakers and healthcare organisations alike.
For anyone working in healthcare, data science, supply chain, or health equity, this is a grounded and forward-looking conversation.

Cultivating Purpose Beyond Business
In this episode, we sit down with Caterina George, Director of People and Talent Acquisition, and Travis Dutka, Culture Curator, both from 360insights, the platform trusted by more than 330 global brands to orchestrate growth across partner channels, incentive programs, and customer engagement initiatives.
360insights helps clients drive the behaviours that support go-to-market growth by bringing incentives, rewards, experiences, and data into one connected ecosystem. But equally important to the company is what it builds internally: a recognition-first, people-first culture where employees grow alongside the business and where values are demonstrated through action rather than stated through policy.
In this conversation, Caterina and Travis share how the company's partnership with Evertreen came to life around Employee Appreciation Day, at a moment when recognition needed to evolve for a more global, remote, and hybrid team. They explain why tree planting resonated immediately: it was more meaningful than the usual appreciation options, more inclusive across geographies, and connected naturally to how 360insights talks about culture as something with both roots and fruits that need to be nurtured intentionally.
The conversation also explores how to turn an environmental initiative into something employees genuinely connect with rather than a CSR checkbox, and what it means to weave sustainability into recognition so that impact feels shared, visible, and ongoing.
Caterina also addresses the talent dimension directly, sharing how candidates increasingly look for proof of culture rather than statements on a careers page, and how initiatives like the Evertreen partnership give 360insights a tangible example of values in action during the hiring process.
For HR leaders, culture builders, and anyone thinking seriously about how recognition and sustainability can reinforce each other, this is a practical and honest conversation.

AI, Risk & Real Impact
In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Ignacio José Domínguez Castillo, CEO and Founding Partner of Yakatiak, one of the most credentialled voices in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum computing, machine learning, anti-money laundering, and financial risk management operating across Latin America and beyond.
Dr. Domínguez brings over 25 years of experience as a public, private, and international sector auditor, with professional work spanning 14 countries and AI and digital transformation implementations across 7. He holds a Master's degree in Finance, a Doctorate in Education, two Honoris Causa Doctorates, and 16 additional postgraduate degrees across technology, finance, and business specialties, with education from Harvard, Berkeley, Cambridge, and MIT.
In this conversation, Dr. Domínguez shares what originally drew him toward helping organisations navigate such complex and rapidly evolving fields, and what inspired him to found Yakatiak as a firm dedicated to the practical implementation, consulting, and auditing of emerging technologies. He also addresses the misconceptions he most commonly encounters when working with clients, and why so many organisations remain stuck between knowing they need to evolve and knowing how to take the first real step.
The conversation then moves into the tangible business benefits that organisations experience when they move past those misconceptions and begin implementing AI, advanced cybersecurity strategies, and risk management frameworks in ways that are aligned with their actual operations and regulatory environments.
Dr. Domínguez is also the author of Artificial Intelligence in Business, published by IMCP in Mexico in 2024, and a forthcoming collaborative book on AI, cybersecurity, auditing, and quantum computing with specialists from four countries.

Purpose, People, and Positive Impact
In this episode, we sit down with Chris Timol, President and COO of PuzzleHR, a growth strategist and executive leader with 25 years of experience attracting, developing, and retaining top talent across sales forces, leadership teams, and organisational transformation initiatives.
PuzzleHR was built around a simple but powerful premise: HR should not be a burden that distracts growing businesses from what they do best. By delivering HR as a Service, the company helps organisations solve their human resources puzzle and drive real business results, from talent acquisition and leadership development to organisational change and sales process engineering. Chris has spent his career understanding what separates top producers from the rest, and building the systems and cultures that help more people reach their full potential.
In this conversation, Chris shares how that people-centred philosophy eventually extended beyond employees and clients to the wider community and environment. He explains how the idea of connecting HR services with tree planting first came about, what made Evertreen feel like the right fit for PuzzleHR, and how the partnership reflects the same values of long-term thinking and genuine investment in outcomes that define the company's approach to human capital.
He also shares what happens when clients discover that their relationship with PuzzleHR contributes to reforestation, and why those conversations often open up a broader discussion about what it means to build a business with purpose.
The episode closes with Chris's honest reflection on what this journey has taught him about combining business growth with meaningful impact, and what he would say to other leaders who want to do the same but are not sure where to start.

Growing Business, Planting Impact
In this episode, we sit down with Pavel Teplykh, Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Nordic GEM, a corporate services group operating across Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden, helping international businesses set up, structure, and grow across the Nordic region with confidence.
Pavel's path to founding Nordic GEM is anything but conventional. A corporate lawyer turned Managing Director turned founder, he brings a rare combination of legal precision, operational experience, and genuine entrepreneurial energy to a region that remains one of the most attractive but complex business environments in the world. Nordic GEM was formed by a group of purpose-aligned professionals with a clear commitment: to build a business that is sustainable, profitable, and always acts in the interest of both clients and employees.
In this conversation, Pavel shares what makes the Nordic GEM approach distinctive for international companies navigating multi-jurisdiction challenges across tax, accounting, payroll, banking, HR, and corporate governance. He also addresses something he believes is shifting across the client landscape: businesses are increasingly looking beyond traditional services and placing greater importance on the values, culture, and long-term commitments of the partners they choose to work with.
That shift is part of what led Nordic GEM to its partnership with Evertreen. Pavel shares how the collaboration came about, what resonated about the initiative, and how connecting a corporate services business to tangible environmental impact reflects the same long-term thinking that guides how Nordic GEM serves its clients.
He also reflects on what he hopes clients and partners take away from that commitment, and why sustainability is not a separate initiative for Nordic GEM but part of how they define what a well-run business should look like.

Building Maritime's Digital Future
In this episode, we welcome back Antony Joseph Kitherian Xavier and John Martin of Blychain Network for their third Xraised appearance, going deeper into the practical realities of digitising maritime trade and what the growing Pomfret.Cloud ecosystem means for freight forwarders, NVOCCs, shippers, carriers, port agents, and logistics service providers around the world.
The core message of this conversation is one the entire industry needs to hear: global trade is not broken because there are no ships, ports, or freight experts. It is broken because the expertise is trapped inside fragmented workflows. Emails, spreadsheets, PDFs, WhatsApp messages, and disconnected document handoffs mean that even when cargo is physically moving, the information around that shipment can be delayed, duplicated, or sitting in someone's inbox.
John leads the conversation on how Blychain and Pomfret.Cloud are addressing this, not by replacing operators or owning their customers, but by providing a neutral digital infrastructure where freight forwarders, NVOCCs, shippers, and port agents can digitise their existing workflows, collaborate with authorised parties, and gain real visibility without surrendering their independence. He introduces the concept of the neutrality dividend: when you create a trusted, neutral layer, every participant gets more value from the network without losing control.
Antony shares the latest progress on LSPWorld, the logistics service provider directory that is now seeing daily new listings as companies discover the value of global visibility and the front door to the broader Pomfret.Cloud ecosystem including MyCargo, CFreight, CFleet, CPort Agent, and ShipWorld.
The episode closes with a clear invitation for freight forwarders, NVOCCs, shippers, carriers, and port agents ready to join a more connected future for maritime trade.

Compassion That Keeps Growing
In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Julie A. Corbett, Chief Commercial Officer of At Home Care Supplies, Founder of Quality of Life Insights, and Principal Consultant at Corbett Research and Consulting, whose work sits at the intersection of caregiving, healthcare innovation, and human-centred quality of life.
At Home Care Supplies was not built from a market opportunity. It was built from loss. When Julie and her husband found themselves caring for her stepdad Terry during a life-threatening illness, they discovered that finding equipment was only part of the challenge. The harder part was knowing what was actually available, what would genuinely help, and how to make clear decisions under enormous emotional pressure. Terry, a firefighter, a craftsman, and by all accounts one of the kindest people Julie had known, passed away on October 24, 2024. The company was founded in his honour.
In this conversation, Julie shares the founding story and the mission that continues to drive everything At Home Care Supplies does: helping families navigate the caregiving journey with compassion, guidance, and the right equipment at the right time. She explains how the Guided Care Consult and Guided Care Studio were built to replace uncertainty with support, and how their approach starts with the person's needs rather than a product catalogue.
The episode also explores the partnership with Evertreen and how a single tree planted in Terry's memory has grown into hundreds, each one a tangible expression of the belief that small acts of care create meaningful long-term change. For Julie, that philosophy connects caregiving and environmental responsibility in a way that feels completely natural.
For anyone currently navigating a caregiving journey, or supporting someone who is, Julie's closing message is simple and worth hearing: you are not alone.

Environmental Sustainability – ISO 14001:2026 Revised: What Has Changed?
We sit down with Ian Erskine, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Global and e-Quip, for the 86th episode in his ongoing Xraised series. With over 40 years of experience helping organisations across global industries achieve excellence, corporate social responsibility, and sustained success, Ian returns with one of the most practically important conversations for any organisation currently certified or pursuing certification under ISO 14001.
This episode focuses entirely on ISO 14001:2026, the revised edition of the world's most widely used environmental management systems standard, and what has changed, what has not, and what it means for organisations working toward sustained success in a world where environmental responsibility is no longer optional.
Ian opens by addressing the most significant evolution in the 2026 revision: the first explicit mention of lifecycle monitoring within the standard, and what that means for how organisations must now think about their environmental aspects and impacts from inception through to disposal. He also unpacks the updated focus on changes to the climate, biodiversity, ecosystem health, pollution, and resource management, explaining through real-world examples how local environmental conditions both affect and are affected by business operations in ways organisations have often overlooked.
The conversation then moves into governance, where ISO 14001:2026 now draws a much clearer connection between environmental management and organisational strategy, ethics, culture, due diligence frameworks, Modern Slavery Policy, and Code of Conduct Policy. Ian makes the case that these are not separate conformance exercises but interconnected foundations of total quality management and long-term organisational credibility.
He also addresses the transition directly: for organisations already certified to ISO 14001:2015, the move to 2026 should be smooth. And if key elements like planning and environmental aspects are only being discovered now, Ian has a clear message about what that says about the auditors and consultants involved.

From Labels to Legacy
In this episode, we sit down with Evan Fox, Managing Director of Impact Labelling Systems, the family-run Limerick business that has been manufacturing self-adhesive labels to the highest standards across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food and drink, logistics, electronics, and automotive sectors since 1995.
Evan opens with the principle that has defined Impact Labelling for three decades: when a customer arrives with an unusual request, a difficult challenge, or something they have been told cannot be done, the answer from his team is almost always a positive one. That solution-focused mindset, combined with flexibility and genuine technical expertise, is what has kept the company competitive and trusted in one of the most demanding markets in Europe.
In this conversation, Evan shares how sustainability became part of the Impact Labelling story long before it became an industry talking point. For more than 20 years the company has been reducing production and packaging waste, monitoring water and electricity usage, investing in more efficient machinery, and adopting solar technology and electric vehicles as part of a long-term commitment to responsible business practice.
The episode also explores their partnership with Evertreen and the tree-planting initiative that has since become one of the most visible expressions of that commitment. Evan explains what drew the company to the initiative, the feedback from employees, customers, and partners who can follow the progress of every tree planted, and why making sustainability tangible and traceable matters as much as the action itself.
He also shares practical advice for businesses looking to improve their sustainability across packaging and labelling operations, and his honest view of the biggest challenges facing the label industry over the next 20 years.

Dispute-Proofing Your Business Legacy
In this episode, we sit down with Cynthia McFarlane, UK Barrister, International Mediator, and Founder of Lawpreneur, the framework helping CEOs and founders stop legal disputes before they start rather than fighting them after the damage is done.
Cynthia's shift from courtroom to prevention happened in two clear stages. Ten years into her career as a barrister, she became a mediator. Five years after that, she realised even mediation was not enough. The legal system was failing people, not because the tools did not exist, but because leaders were arriving too late. That realisation led her to coaching, entrepreneurship, and eventually the Lawpreneur approach, a holistic three-step strategy built around prevention, damage control, and damage limitation.
In this conversation, Cynthia shares the moment she stopped wanting to fight disputes and started wanting to prevent them entirely. She also explains how she steps in to de-escalate situations before they spiral into something expensive, why internal or external mediation as early as possible is almost always the right move, and how her Legacy Transformation Programme helps CEOs protect not just their business but their reputation, assets, and long-term leverage.
She also breaks down why the Lawpreneur framework resonates so strongly with high-level leaders: it is cost effective, it can be rolled out across an entire team without repeat investment, and it applies equally to professional and personal legal challenges.
For any leader who knows they have gaps but has been lucky so far, Cynthia closes with the first practical step to take today toward becoming legally secure and genuinely self-sufficient.

Roofing with Great Purpose
In this episode, we sit down with James Wolfgang Kuntz, Owner of Tarrytown Roofing, the Austin, Texas-based roofing company redefining what it means to operate with integrity, consistency, and genuine accountability in one of the most competitive and often transactional industries in the country.
James opens with the vision that started everything: building a better environment for the people doing the work. Not chasing transactions, not extracting maximum margin from every job, but creating roles around what people are actually good at, giving them a real opportunity, and building something worth being part of. That philosophy, he explains, is still what sets Tarrytown Roofing apart today across residential, commercial, flat, and steep slope systems including TPO, standing seam, asphalt, and specialty tile and slate.
In this conversation, James shares what he has learned about what clients are truly looking for beyond a roof repair or replacement. The answer is simple and consistent across every type of project: they want their problem solved by someone they can trust. Too many contractors chase the transaction and lose the relationship. Tarrytown leads with the relationship, and the trust takes care of itself.
The episode also moves into sustainability, a topic rarely associated with roofing but one James believes is overdue for the entire industry. Roofing generates enormous waste, and companies that only sell full replacements when a repair would do are putting clients and the environment second. Tarrytown's partnership with Evertreen is part of a deliberate effort to offset the footprint of their work and hold themselves accountable to a higher standard.
For business owners in any industry looking to build something with lasting impact, James closes with a message worth hearing.

Bridging Knowledge, Creating Impact
In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Ryosuke Nakajima, Founder of ProfBridge Commons, Management Consultant at PwC, Professor, Dean, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow whose career sits at the intersection of business transformation, Generative AI, higher education, and global collaboration.
Dr. Nakajima's path to founding ProfBridge Commons was shaped by experiencing both worlds directly. A career in management consulting running in parallel with a doctorate, postdoctoral research, and academic leadership as a Professor and Dean gave him a clear view of something most people on either side of the divide never fully see: the structural gap between practical business knowledge and formal education, and how much value is lost because of it.
In this conversation, Dr. Nakajima explains the problem ProfBridge Commons was built to solve. There are thousands of experienced professionals with deep, real-world expertise in sales, finance, technology, consulting, and management who would be willing to share that knowledge with students, but no clear or accessible pathway for them to do so. At the same time, educational institutions want more practical, internationally relevant content for their students but struggle to identify and engage the right people at the right time.
ProfBridge Commons is designed to close that gap through structured opportunities for guest lectures, micro-teaching, mentoring, and cross-border collaboration, creating a living ecosystem rather than an occasional guest speaker programme.
The episode also covers the upcoming launch of the ProfBridge Platform, early partnerships already underway across the UK, US, Finland, and Poland, and Dr. Nakajima's vision for what ProfBridge Commons can become when education, business, and innovation connect consistently across borders.
For professionals, educators, institutions, and anyone who believes knowledge becomes more powerful when it moves freely, this is a conversation worth watching in full.

Growing Smarter Sales and a Greener Future
In this episode, we sit down with Paul Pacun, Co-Founder of Meiotic Inc. and the architect behind vablet, a mobile-first sales enablement platform trusted by global enterprise leaders including Abbott, Baxter, Johnson & Johnson, and Bristol-Myers Squibb since 2010.
Paul opens with a problem that most sales leaders recognise immediately: studies show that sales reps spend only 28% of their time actually selling. The rest disappears into searching for the right files, managing compliance requirements, and battling the limitations of tools that were never built for how modern sales teams actually work. That gap between time spent and time sold is exactly what vablet was designed to close.
In this conversation, Paul shares the original insight that led him to build vablet, and what has made the platform stand out in a competitive sales technology market for over 15 years. He explains how vablet gives sales and marketing teams total control over content, seamless CRM integration with Salesforce and SAP, and complete offline access so deals can be closed anywhere, even without connectivity. Compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 is built in rather than bolted on.
The episode also explores a dimension of vablet's story that goes beyond technology. Paul shares how conversations about broader impact led to a partnership with Evertreen and a commitment to connecting business growth with environmental responsibility through reforestation.
He closes with a message for business leaders who want to drive stronger results while also creating positive impact beyond the bottom line, and what he sees ahead for both vablet and its sustainability journey as the platform continues to grow.
For sales leaders, marketing teams, and enterprise technology decision-makers, this is a practical and purpose-driven conversation worth watching in full.

Accelerating AI from Pixel to Bit
In this episode, we sit down with Vineeth Kalluru, Enterprise AI Solutions Architect and computer engineer specialising in the AI acceleration domain, whose mission is to accelerate any part of an AI system from pixel to bit.
That phrase, pixel to bit, is more than a technical description. It captures an end-to-end philosophy about where speed, efficiency, and intelligent design can be applied across the entire AI pipeline, from the visual data that enters a system to the binary decisions that exit it. Vineeth has built his career around the conviction that the gap between what AI systems are theoretically capable of and what they actually deliver in production is largely an acceleration problem, and one that can be solved with the right architecture and the right mindset.
In this conversation, Vineeth breaks down what AI acceleration actually means in practical terms, the real-world benefits it creates for companies and the people using these technologies, and the most common misconceptions he encounters when clients first approach this domain. Many organisations, he explains, understand the promise of AI but underestimate the infrastructure decisions that determine whether that promise gets delivered at speed or throttled in deployment.
He also shares the breakthroughs and projects that made him realise just how significant this work could be, and his perspective on the trends he believes will define the next few years of AI development and reshape how businesses operate at a fundamental level.
The episode closes with advice for innovators and aspiring engineers who want to stay relevant in a field that is changing faster than most educational systems can keep pace with, grounded in the mindset Vineeth believes separates the people who create meaningful impact from those who simply follow the hype.

The Quality of an Organisation Depends on Improvement, Learning, and Innovation
In this episode, we sit down with Ian Erskine, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Global and e-Quip, for the 85th episode in his ongoing Xraised series. With over 40 years of experience helping organisations across global industries achieve excellence, corporate social responsibility, and sustained success, Ian returns with one of the most forward-looking conversations in the series yet.
This episode focuses on three interdependent pillars that Ian argues are inseparable from any serious pursuit of total quality management and sustained organisational success: improvement, learning, and innovation. Most organisations treat these as separate initiatives, separate budgets, separate meetings. Ian makes the case that this separation is itself the problem, and that the strongest organisations understand these three elements as a single, continuously reinforcing system.
The conversation opens with the question of what separates organisations that genuinely embed Accelerating Continuous Improvement into their culture from those that simply talk about it. Ian walks through what it actually takes to make improvement an everyday reality rather than a seasonal initiative, from empowering people at every level to establishing recognition systems that reward contribution and results.
He then moves into learning, making the case that knowledge, whether explicit or tacit, must be managed as an organisational asset rather than left to chance. Mentoring, knowledge sharing, and connected thinking across functions are not soft initiatives. They are competitive advantages when managed with the same rigour as any other performance system.
The episode closes with a discussion of innovation timing and risk, drawing on the lessons of Who Moved My Cheese to challenge leaders to recognise when change is needed before the market forces the decision for them.
For any leader committed to building a future-ready, people-focused organisation, this episode delivers a clear and actionable framework.

Growing Technology and Trees
In this episode, we sit down with Nicolas Hawat, Founder and CEO of StartMeUp.AI, a technology company delivering enterprise-grade, production-ready backend solutions that help startups and growing businesses scale faster, smarter, and more cost-effectively.
Nicolas brings over a decade of experience in software development, data science, machine learning, and generative AI, with a background building trading software for international banks and financial institutions. In early 2024, he transitioned to become a digital nomad and founder, diving deep into Generative AI and discovering its potential to compress development timelines dramatically. That exploration led to the creation of an internal AI developer that now sits at the core of StartMeUp.AI's ability to deliver superior solutions at speed, saving clients between six and twelve months of development research and costs.
In this conversation, Nicolas shares the core mission behind StartMeUp.AI, what it means to give startups access to reliable, scalable technology without forcing them to settle for solutions they will outgrow, and how his team works alongside AI tools to produce code that meets the highest standards of quality, testing, and documentation.
The episode also explores how sustainability became part of the StartMeUp.AI identity through a tree-planting partnership with Evertreen. Nicolas shares what drew him to Evertreen specifically, what the partnership has meant for his team and clients, and why he believes that building a business responsibly and building it for growth are not competing priorities but deeply connected ones.
For any startup founder, technology leader, or entrepreneur thinking about how to build faster without sacrificing quality or responsibility, this is a grounded and practical conversation worth watching in full.

The Hidden Side of Potential
In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Henry Horace, Founder and Research Director of the MABEN Institute and Founder of Thinking Heart Solutions, an educator, researcher, and thinker whose work is fundamentally redefining how we understand human performance, potential, and learning.
Dr. Horace opens with a lighthouse analogy that sets the entire tone. For centuries, sailors used lighthouses not as destinations but as signals to navigate toward them. When the signal is distorted or misread, capable sailors still run aground. He asks whether the same thing is happening in how we assess human performance, and whether we are consistently misinterpreting what we see.
His answer is built around a distinction that changes everything: performance is not the same as capability. Between the two sits something he calls access, the bridge between what a person possesses and what they are able to demonstrate in a given moment. A person can carry knowledge, skill, and tremendous potential, and still struggle to access it under certain conditions. That insight gave rise to his framework of Conditional Cognition, the idea that the expression of knowledge depends on the conditions under which cognition is accessed during performance.
In this conversation, Dr. Horace applies these ideas to education, leadership, and human development, making the case that higher-order thinking should never be reserved for the privileged, and that the most equitable resource any school can provide is access to thinking itself.
He also shares the meaning behind MABEN, Mind and Brain Existential Nexus, and introduces his upcoming book The Measure of a Child, a work that uses the child as a metaphor for unrealised potential and invites every reader to see themselves as a work still in progress.

Better Homes, Bigger Impact
In this episode, we sit down with Jake Farell, CEO of Art of Drawers, the custom storage solutions company transforming how homeowners use the space they already have, without demolition, without renovation, and usually in a single visit.
Jake opens with a reframe that cuts to the heart of what Art of Drawers does. Most people do not have a space problem. They have an access problem. The cabinets are already there. The issue is that two-thirds of what is inside them is unreachable. Rather than ripping everything out and spending tens of thousands on a full renovation, Art of Drawers builds custom pull-out drawers and shelving fitted to the exact dimensions of each home, turning dead space into something people actually use every single day.
In this conversation, Jake shares two stories that say more about the company's culture than any marketing brief ever could. The first is a customer who loved her drawers so much she came to work for Art of Drawers, showing up at home shows to talk to other homeowners without anyone asking her to. The second is an installer who, after finishing a job, quietly tightened a loose front door handle for a widow who had lived with it for five years since her husband passed. Nobody asked him to. Nothing was in it for him. Jake describes it as the real test of a company's values.
The episode also explores Art of Drawers' partnership with Evertreen, a natural alignment for a company that builds with wood and believes it has a responsibility to give back to the source of its materials. Every project now contributes to global reforestation as the company scales.

Marketing Growth, Real-World Impact
In this episode, we sit down with Rob Wynn, Owner of InfluxJuice, a digital marketing agency specialising in SEO, GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation), paid advertising, and content distribution across 700 or more websites, with a track record of delivering 50 or more Page 1 rankings and consistent 30 to 50 percent traffic growth for clients within 90 days.
Rob opens by reframing a question that most digital marketers have never had to answer: what does growing a business online have to do with planting trees? For InfluxJuice, the answer is built directly into every campaign. Fifty trees are planted per campaign through their partnership with Evertreen, making each client engagement carbon neutral from day one.
In this conversation, Rob shares how the idea of connecting digital marketing with environmental impact first came about, and why it was important to him to make that commitment part of the client experience rather than treating it as a separate corporate initiative. He also explains what it was about Evertreen specifically that made them the right partner, and how the relationship reflects a broader philosophy about what a modern agency should stand for.
He also touches on the parallel mindset required by both pursuits. Building a strong online presence and planting trees share the same long-term logic: small, consistent actions compound over time into something significant. For Rob, that alignment is not coincidental. It is intentional.
The conversation also covers how clients have responded when they discover their marketing campaigns are contributing to reforestation, and what Rob sees ahead for the partnership as InfluxJuice continues to scale its impact alongside its results.
For any business thinking seriously about growth, visibility, and responsibility at the same time, this is a compelling conversation.
