Celebrating an inspiring T1D athlete and her remarkable courage

This month we're joined by Kate @katehall2043 who was diagnosed with type one diabetes at age 10. She took control from day one when she told the nurse that she was going to give herself her first-ever shot of insulin.

Kate was never afraid of having diabetes and all that it entailed, but instead, she was afraid of it stopping her from doing what she loved most, sports. From that moment on, Kate turned fear into motivation and she knew that she wasn’t going to let diabetes get in the way of anything. Kate did everything that she could from a young age to control her diabetes so that she could try to not only live a normal life but also accomplish her goal of someday becoming an Olympian.
