The Knights' Return to Gwrych!
More than fifty years after they had last performed at Gwrych Castle, the Knights of Nottingham returned as the headline act of the Grand Medieval Joust.
And this wasn't just a day of horses and lances.
It was theatre. It was spectacle. It was storytelling.
And, for more than two thousand people gathered beneath the castle walls, it was an opportunity to suspend disbelief and step into another world.

Thomas Dennis from A Taste of Loyalty
In A Taste of Loyalty, a bold new, proof-of-concept short film set on Easter Sunday, 14 April 1471, actor and co-director Thomas Dennis, along with noted historian Matthew Lewis have created a brand new screen play adapted from Lewis’s own novel Loyalty.
This proof-of-concept film retraces Richard’s first battle at Barnet with re-enactors lending period authenticity and a grassroots crowdfunding drive fueling production.
But make no mistake; this film promises to deliver an epic vision grounded in historical truth, crafted by people who live and love this period of history.
And in this episode of Behind the Epic i had the privilege of sitting down to chat with Thomas about this exciting project.
