Wild Wellness with Jess
By Jess Reid
While it’s true that like many health coaches, I can help you eat better and/or lose weight, the true meaning of Health is Wholeness, and I tend the conditions where it can flourish.
For those who’ve outgrown the grind, standing at the edge of what’s next—the Wild Wellness with Jess podcast is where Spirit’s love story with Nature is felt in your everyday life, where we see the mystical breathe into the practical, where we honor moon phases and menstrual phases, and nutrition and nervous systems are as sacred as soul and self-trust.
You’ll hear real talk about healing from the systems that disconnect us, and learning to live like you actually like your life—through resourcing, through ritual, and through rest.

September 29 is Michaelmas, a day rooted in Celtic harvest traditions that was later woven into the Christian church calendar. As we move deeper into autumn, you might already intuitively and naturally feel the invitation to release, reflect, and reckon—spiritually, emotionally, even financially. That’s no coincidence. It was originally a pagan day used for settling debts, honoring harvest cycles, and marking seasonal transitions, but it became associated with the archangel Michael.
Even for our ancestors, the Mabon portal continued even after the date of the official equinox.
Tune into this episode to hear our Mabon 2025 celebration inside the Wild Wellness Women's Circle, where we focus on the sacred descent experiences of our lives.

As we cross the Autumn Equinox, the point of equal darkness and light, Balance is calling to us.

The problem is with our understanding of balance and the permission we give ourselves to balance our lives.
Today I'm bringing you a completely NEW way to think about balance that will bring you so much FREEDOM.
In this episode, you'll learn:
- Where is Love placing its finger in your life?

Mabon marks the Autumn Equinox and the second harvest of the year in the Wheel of the Year. It’s a time when day and night are equal length, symbolizing balance and harmony. Referred to as the "Witches' Thanksgiving," it’s a time to give thanks for the harvest and the abundance in our lives. As the days grow shorter, we reflect on the year so far and prepare for the coming winter months.
Did you know? Mabon celebrates the story of Demeter, goddess of grain, agriculture, and fertility, and her daughter Persephone. When Hades abducts Persephone and forces her to marry him in the underworld, Demeter causes the Earth to go barren. Zeus negotiates with Hades to allow Persephone to be free for half the year, so Demeter only allows abundance on Earth half the year.Even though the exact date of the equinox is September 22, we can celebrate this whole season.
In this episode, you'll learn...
- the origins, history, and symbolism of Mabon
- what Nature is modeling for us physically, spiritually, and energetically, and how we can align
- 10 easy and enjoyable ways to celebrate Mabon

345. I Know Exactly Why I Want More Money. Do You?
Join The Soul of Money Voice-Note Book Club
From September 16–October 23, we’re moving from scarcity to Sufficiency and changing our relationship with Money through Nature’s wisdom.
The entire experience is asynchronous in Voxer. There are no live calls, you only need 15–60 minutes a week to participate, and you don’t even have to read the book.
Enrollment closes Friday, September 18.

I know exactly why I want more money. Do you? And if you do, does it feel compelling to you?
I’ve found that when Money knows where it’s going, that’s often when it comes.
Money likes direction. It likes purpose. It likes to know what it’s being invited into.
In this episode, I'm sharing the reason I find most compelling and True for me, and I'm helping you think through yours.
We’ll explore:
• My old belief that I needed a big, charitable, world-saving vision to justify wanting more money
• The years I spent going to Bible college, working as a pastor, evangelizing door-to-door, tithing, volunteering, and giving everything I had to a cause I believed was the only one that truly mattered
• What it means for me to now pray to a force of Love that wants Life not merely to survive, but to Flourish
• Why I believe talking to the ancestors can expand our access to Intuition, God, Love, and the Wisdom already within us
• What happened when I asked my ancestors how much Money they wanted me to make—and what they wanted me to do with it
Now, whenever I make a plan to earn more Money, I pray blessings over it and tell it exactly where I’m going to put it.
Earning more no longer feels like chasing an arbitrary number.
It feels like participating in the ancient movement of Life pouring itself forward.
So I want to ask you:
Do you know exactly why you want more Money?
Not why you’re supposed to want it.
Not the answer that sounds the most generous, responsible, spiritual, or impressive.
What’s the answer that brings your whole body alive?
Maybe Money is waiting to hear where you’d like it to go.

“What if we’re not actually pursuing Intuition? What if Intuition has been pursuing us all along?”
In this episode, we’re exploring Hazel in the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, the tree of Knowledge, Wisdom, Intuition, and inspiration.
We’ll follow Hazel into old Irish stories of sacred wells, 9 Hazel trees, and the Salmon of Knowledge, where wisdom isn’t something that’s chased or achieved. It’s received.
We’ll also explore what that might mean for our own relationship with Intuition. Maybe our Intuition isn’t blocked. Maybe there’s just a lot of static. Maybe the signal is already broadcasting, and our work is learning how our particular receiver works.
And because Hazel doesn’t only ask us to listen, we’ll explore the other half of Intuition too: trusting what we hear enough to act on it.
- What the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar is and why I follow the Moon through 13 trees
- The Celtic story Fionn mac Cumhaill and the Salmon of Knowledge
- What might actually be happening when we think our Intuition is “blocked”
- The subconscious, superconscious, and the idea of our bodies as intuitive radio receivers
- Water, memory, and wisdom that is metabolized through the body
- Hazel’s fascinating connection with dowsing and finding something real that we can’t see
- Why our attention and devotion matter in our relationship with Intuition
- Hazel as the Celtic Birth Essence known as The Knower

🌾 A Harvest Invitation: The Soul of Money Voice-Note Book Club
There’s a place where Wisdom, Intuition, and static noise feel especially alive for me right now: Money.
We tend to approach money as another problem we need to figure out.
We think we need a better budget, more income, more information, a better strategy, an expert, more discipline, more certainty.
We keep looking outward for the thing that will finally make us feel safe.
What if there’s Wisdom underneath all that noise that we haven’t been able to hear?
I think there’s something deeply Natural about exploring our relationships with scarcity, abundance, and Sufficiency in this Harvest Season.
Beginning September 16, we’ll spend six weeks with Lynne Twist’s book The Soul of Money, moving from scarcity toward sufficiency, and changing our relationship with money through the wisdom of Nature.
This is a fully asynchronous book club, so there are no live calls to attend, and you don’t even have to read the book.
I’ll read you all my favorite parts and send them to you in voice notes.

What if your Inner Accountant doesn’t need to be pushed away, silenced, or even healed? What if she just needs a promotion?
In the last episode, I introduced you to my client Kiki and shared some of the story behind a coaching conversation we had about receiving money for the spiritual work she’s already been doing for years.
In this episode, with Kiki’s permission, I’m sharing that full coaching call.
We talk about the part of us I’ve come to affectionately call the Inner Accountant: the part who keeps track of what’s coming in, what’s going out, what could go wrong, how much we need, and whether there’ll be Enough.
And we love her—she makes some really good points.
We don’t want to shame her, silence her, or exile her. Her job has been to help us survive.
But maybe it’s time to upgrade her job description from merely surviving to Flourishing.
In this coaching conversation, we explore:
• Why it can feel easier to charge for work that drains us than for the work that brings us alive
• The belief that spiritual, healing, creative, nurturing, or purposeful work shouldn’t cost money
• How receiving money can expand our capacity to serve
• The poverty, martyrdom, and self-sacrifice stories many of us inherited through religion
• Why money can feel “icky” or gross when it enters the same room as our spiritual gifts
• The difference between surviving, Sufficiency, and Flourishing
• Why there’s no shame in having a contingency plan
• What changes when we let practicality support our spirituality instead of treating them as opposites
• The possibility that we don’t need to heal every Money Story before we start living differently
The living-it-out is part of the healing.
Sometimes we gotta look at the numbers. Make the plan. Let someone pay us. Allow ourselves to receive before every part of us feels completely ready.
And that lived experience is what changes our relationship with money.
As you listen, I invite you to get curious:
- What job have you given your Inner Accountant?
- Is she only allowed to help you avoid disaster—or can she help you imagine what it might take for your Life to Flourish?
- Where might you be waiting to feel completely healed before you let yourself do something differently?
- And what would it look like to start right now?

“If it's spiritual work, you should just be struggling to get by.”
One of my clients, Kiki, said this to me recently when we were exploring why it felt so uncomfortable for her to start receiving Money for work she’s already been doing for years—for free.
In this episode, we explore what happens when we confuse self-denial with generosity—and why rejecting the values of capitalism doesn't require us to reject Money, commerce, receiving, or exchange.
Because as I told Kiki:
“You're not solving capitalism by you not getting paid.”
We’ll explore:
why women in particular can attach virtue to self-sacrifice, especially around nurturing, mothering, spiritual, healing, creative, and caring work
the differences between capitalism, coercion, and commerce
why the answer to an extractive system isn't self-extraction
why a one-way flow eventually starts to feel gross
why spending Money can actually feel really good when we're moving our resources—and our hearts—toward what we value
what changes when we recognize receiving as an essential part of reciprocity
the ways we might refuse to receive resources other than Money, including Time, Care, Attention, Help, Rest, and generosity
whether we've unconsciously made our inability to receive into evidence of our own Goodness
Sacred Reciprocity isn't only about Money. It's about our willingness to participate in the flow.
Some of us have become very, very comfortable standing on only one side of that flow—the giving side—while refusing to receive.
I'm not asking you to become less generous.
I'm inviting you to get curious:
Where have you confused self-denial with generosity?
What might Sacred Reciprocity look like instead?

If Money could talk to you, what do you think it would say?
Would it sound disappointed? Judgmental? Demanding?
Or would it sound suspiciously like your parents, your church, or Dave Ramsey?
In this episode, I’m continuing our exploration of the Money Stories we inherit and asking a different question:
If the voice we’ve assigned to Money was actually learned, what happens when we actually let Money Itself speak?
Inspired by Lynne Twist’s book The Soul of Money and her description of Money as “God-in-action,” I explore what it means for me to understand Money instead as Love-in-action—one of the ways we move our resources toward the people, places, work, experiences, Beauty, justice, and healing that our hearts value.
We’ll explore:
Money as a mirror—and also a map
the history and meaning of the phrase Bread and Roses
why Sufficiency is actually something inside of us, not outside of us
what changes when we expand our resourcing beyond just our individual income
what Nature can teach us about our need for both sustenance AND Beauty
the “made-up game” of Money and the difference between questioning its rules and pretending its consequences aren’t real
what it might sound like for Love to tell us the Truth about our Money without using shame
I also share a Love Letter one of my clients, Kristin, wrote to herself from Money after a week of exploring her relationship with debt, freedom, minimalism, Beauty, pleasure, and her desire for both Bread AND Roses.
Her letter contains one of my favorite expressions of Sufficiency: “We can work with that!”
Here is what I have.
Here is what WE have.
Here is what is HERE.
Now what can Love create with it?

What did you believe about money before you realized you had other options?
In this episode, I’m sharing my own Money Story—and some of the experiences that shaped it long before I realized I was creating one.
My dad’s gambling addiction and my parents’ divorce took my family from upper middle class to below the poverty line when I was around 12–13 years old. At the same time, I was growing up in a conservative, fundamentalist, high-control church where I absorbed complicated messages about money and faith.
Somewhere along the way, those stories became tangled together.
I came to believe that having money was the opposite of having faith—and that maybe God didn’t give me money because He knew I couldn’t be trusted with it.
Nobody ever explicitly taught me that.
But that’s the thing about our Money Stories: we don’t only inherit what people tell us. We make meaning from what happens to us.
In this episode, we explore:
• How childhood, family, religion, culture, and painful experiences shape our relationship with money
• The difference between blame and recognizing how we co-created our own stories
• Why a Money Story doesn't feel like a story and simply feels like reality
• Becoming curious about our beliefs instead of immediately trying to “fix” them
• Why I no longer believe healing means arriving at a final, perfected relationship with money
• My movement from Scarcity → Abundance → Sufficiency
• What the book The Soul of Money helped me understand about money as God in action
• Jesus’ teaching, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”—and what might happen when we intentionally move our treasure
• What it might mean to create a more shame-free, Natural relationship with Money

339. What Is Enough? Nature's Wisdom on Money, Scarcity, Abundance & Sufficiency
What is enough?
Enough money. Enough food. Enough time. Enough work and rest. Enough security for the future—and enough pleasure in the now.
We talk a lot about scarcity and abundance, but in this episode, I’m exploring a third possibility: Sufficiency.
Not “technically enough to survive.” Not settling or convincing ourselves we shouldn’t want more. But enough to flourish in this Season of our Lives.
As we move toward Autumn and Harvest Season, I’m looking to Nature and our ancestors for a different way of relating to resources. The Harvest wasn’t the same every year. Nature didn’t demand maximum output in every Season. There were times to receive, produce, gather, distribute, release—and rest.
What might happen if we let Nature teach us something about our relationship with money, too?
I’m also sharing about one of the most transformative books I’ve ever read, Lynne Twist’s The Soul of Money, and inviting you into my new fully asynchronous Voice-Note Book Club: The Soul of Money, happening September 16–October 23.
And no—you don’t even have to read the book. ❤️
Each week, I’ll share one of my favorite excerpts in a private Voxer group, along with a voice-note and questions to explore together. You can participate for as little as 15 minutes a week, share deeply, quietly listen, journal on your own, read the entire book, or never open it.
You cannot get behind. Everything is invitation, not obligation.
Because I don’t want to invite you into a conversation about Sufficiency while creating another place in your Life where you feel like you’re not doing enough.
Registration is $222, with an interest-free four-month payment option, and you’ll receive immediate lifetime access to additional resources, including my Healing Your Money Story self-reflection inventory.
We begin September 16.
Join us here:
https://jess-reid.cohere.live/money
And until then, carry this question with you:
What would “enough” actually feel like in your Life right now?
Not the smallest amount you could survive on.
Not the largest amount you can imagine receiving.
Enough.

338. It's Time For a Devotion Audit: What Is Actually Worthy of Your Life Force?
As women, there are SO MANY things we're supposed to care about:
- Every notification wants our attention.
- Every problem wants our concern.
- Every opportunity wants a yes.
- Every algorithm has something new for us to be outraged about.
- Every industry has another thing we should be learning, creating, posting, optimizing, or improving.
And sometimes we confuse being a Loving, caring, spiritually awake person with being available to all of it.
This month, in the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, the Holly tree has been teaching me about what happens when we STOP scattering our energy.
And with eclipse season and Virgo season bringing their own flavors to the mix right now, this feels like an especially aligned moment for what I'm calling a Devotion Audit.
Sometimes growth looks like becoming more devoted.
But also sometimes it looks like realizing:
- I don't actually care about this anymore.
- I don't believe this anymore.
- I don't want to spend my Life force here anymore.
- This isn't mine to carry.
If this is vibing, make sure you press play on this episode, and share it with another sister who needs it!

📋 Let’s Do a Devotion Audit Together
If this episode has you wondering whether your actual Life reflects what you say matters most to you, I’d love to spend a week with you one-on-one—and here’s exactly what we’ll do:
I’ll give you a fun, free online assessment that shows you what you value most in Life—what is calling you to be devoted to.
We’ll identify your authenticity gap: the distance between what you say you want to be devoted to and where your Time, attention, and energy are actually going.
We’ll find the biggest point of tension in your devotion—the place where your energy is being scattered.
We’ll also identify your biggest point of harmony—what is already helping you live in alignment with what matters most.
And throughout our week together, I’ll be a mirror of Love, asking the questions that help you decide what you actually want to do with what you discover.
At a pace that feels Loving.
Without Fear, Force, or Shame.

Summer is ending, the school-year rhythms return, businesses are talking about Q4, our social media feeds are inundated with posts about Virgo Season, and suddenly there's all this pressure to get back on track.
But what if you don't feel motivated?
And what if your lack of motivation isn't a problem to solve, but information to listen to?
There's a million resources out there on how to try to trick or force ourselves to do things when we don't feel motivation for doing them.
Instead, I created this episode to help you stop judging your resistance and start getting curious about it.
*
Press play to learn about...
- Intelligent Resistance.
For women especially, there are endless things we supposedly have to be doing. But I believe resistance isn't laziness or procrastination. It's intuitive useful information about the strategy, timing, environment, expectation, or our motivating force.
- Changing the environment instead of changing yourself.
Rather than trying to change yourself, what could you change in your environment to work with your motivational wiring? It's way more loving, not to mention easier, to remove what's obstructing our Nature rather than endlessly improving ourselves.
- “What are you motivated to do?”
Instead of Why can't I make myself work?, we ask where the energy is naturally trying to go.
- Fear, force, and shame versus Love.
Sometimes we're resisting not the thing itself but the way we're trying to make ourselves do it.
- Expanding your permission field.
Maybe the answer is not to do the thing at all. The goal isn't to manufacture motivation. It's to understand what the lack of motivation is communicating, and then decide what to do.

336. The Fruit Of Our Fruit: What Our Grandmothers Would Have Celebrated At Harvest
At one of our women’s circles celebrating Lammas in the Wheel of the Year, we each reflected on the path from Imbolc (6 months ago) to now.
From seeds to fruit, from hope to harvest.
We asked: What has bloomed in our lives? What are we harvesting?
As we shared our reflections, something unexpected stood out to me.
Most women didn't talk about business goals, creative projects, or personal accomplishments.
They talked about their children.
For just a moment, I noticed the quiet whisper of an old story inside myself:
"That doesn't count."
"That's not your fruit."
"You should have something of your own to show."
But when I imagined my grandmothers answering the same question, I realized they almost certainly would have spoken about their families, their communities, and the people they had helped nurture into fuller Life.
In this episode, I explore why I believe the fruit of our fruit is still our fruit, what modern culture often gets wrong about success and fulfillment, and why witnessing another person's flourishing may be one of the deepest forms of harvest we experience.
In this episode, we'll explore:
- Why Lammas invites us to reflect on what has ripened since Imbolc
- The old story that says only individual achievement counts
- What our grandmothers might have considered a successful harvest
- The difference between rooted devotion and unhealthy enmeshment
- Why another person's blooming can become part of our own
- A more relational understanding of success, purpose, and the Seasons of Life

333. Turning Toward Autumn: Falling Into Abundance, Slowing to the Pace of Nature, & Honoring the Grief of What Didn't Bloom This Year
I made you a FREE companion guide for this episode! This FREE instant access PDF will give you 11 easy and enjoyable ways to celebrate Lammas (the halfway point between Summer Solstice & Autumn Equinox) + 8 journal prompts to help you reflect and process the inspiration of this season. Download it now!
After the Summer Solstice, we officially entered the Dark Half of the Year, though it probably didn't feel like it. Subtly we started waning in hours of sunlight each day, and as we approach the Autumn Equinox, it'll grow more and more noticeable.
Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, is a festival often celebrated on August 1st, marking the halfway point between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox, as well as the first harvest of the wheel of the year.
Lughnasadh is the old Irish name for the festival - and the old spelling too. Fun fact: Lúnasa is actually the Irish word for August! Lammas is the more English Anglo-Saxon name.
It's not too late to celebrate! Lammas is not just one day, but a portal, a Season. Time is hyperlocal, and traditions vary.
While some celebrate on August 1, some celebrated much earlier on "Lunar Lammas" with the 8th Full Moon after the Winter Solstice, which fell on July 29. "Solar Lammas" is on August 6 this week!
This replay from the Wild Wellness Women's Circle is an opportunity for you to celebrate now too.
Lammas invites us all to reflect on the first harvest—both in Nature and in our lives. It asks: What has come to fruition? What still needs tending? And what might be time to let go of?
Press play to hear more about...
- Honoring grief this time of year even as we hold joy, the tension between opposites and the magic that can result
- Reflecting back to Imbolc on Feb 1, seeing what has bloomed and what hasn't
- Reasons why we sometimes don't get the harvest we expected, and what to do with that
- Slowing to the pace of Nature as much of the animal kingdom is really quiet this time of year in the oppressive heat, and how this can be our permission slip too

332. A beginner's guide to celebrate Lammas/Lughnasa: the halfway point between Summer Solstice & Autumn Equinox in the Wheel of the Year
I made you a FREE companion guide for this episode! This FREE instant access PDF will give you 11 easy and enjoyable ways to celebrate Lammas (the halfway point between Summer Solstice & Autumn Equinox) + 8 journal prompts to help you reflect and process the inspiration of this season. Download it now!
Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, is a festival celebrated on August 1st, marking the halfway point between Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox, and the first harvest of the year in the Wheel of the Year.
It's a time where Nature is modeling for us the themes of gratitude and abundance, harvest and reaping, transformation and sacrifice, community and sharing, and reflection and planning.
Did you know?
The word Lammas actually comes from the Old English "loaf mass." People baked a loaf of bread from their first harvest and brought it to the church to be blessed. This bread was believed to have healing and protective properties, so they placed it in the corners of their homes and barns for protection and blessing.
Even though the exact date is August 1, we can celebrate this whole season.
In this episode, you'll learn...
- the origins, history, and symbolism of Lammas
- what Nature is modeling for us physically, spiritually, and energetically, and how we can align
- 11 easy and enjoyable ways to celebrate Lammas
- 8 journal prompt themes to help you reflect and process the inspiration of this season

331. Ritual Time: The Sacred Mayan Calendar & Your Birth Essence with Diana Paez
Most of us live inside linear, scheduled time. Our culture measures every minute and asks us to manage time as if it were money. But our ancestors lived by different rhythms. They knew time as cyclical, sacred, and alive.
I've been on a journey of rewilding my own relationship with time. The Celtic Wheel of the Year and the Celtic Lunar Tree have helped me honor seasonal and lunar rhythms.
In 2024, my mentor introduced me to the Mayan calendar, which deepened this path even further by giving me not just a seasonal or lunar energy to attune to, but a daily one.
Unlike astrology, which can feel overwhelming with so many moving parts, the Mayan calendar offers a simple yet profound way to attune to the quality of time every single day.
The Mayan Sacred Calendar repeats in predictable cycles through twenty nawales, or archetypal energies.
These patterns invite us to notice synchronicities, shift our awareness, and experience life through Kairos time, mythic time that stretches and breathes, rather than only Kronos time, the linear time of calendars and clocks.
In this replay of a gathering of the Wild Wellness Women's Circle, guest expert Diana Paez walks us through:
The Mayan calendar as a living system: how cyclical time repeats in archetypal patterns
An introduction to the nawales: the twenty archetypes you will meet again and again as companions on your path
Your Mayan birth chart: how to begin exploring your unique essence through the quality of time you were born into
A rewilding of your relationship to time: moving from productivity-driven Kronos time into the spacious, sacred experience of Kairos time
This is not just a lecture. It’s a circle. You'll get to listen, learn, reflect, and sense how this ancient wisdom resonates in your Life.
Ever since I started walking with the Mayan calendar, it has deepened my connection to my Intuition and helped me understand even more how Nature, Time, and Love want to speak to us each day. I know it will for you too!

330. Allowing Nature to Show You How to Move and Make Decisions Through Your Primary Element in the 5 Elements
What if the way through your current challenge isn't to try harder—but to listen to the element that's calling you?
In this replay from a gathering in the Wild Wellness Women's Circle, I teach you the elemental framework drawn from the Taoist Five Element tradition and the Dagara cosmology of West Africa.
Rather than treating the elements as personality types, this approach understands them as living movements found in Nature, the Seasons, and our own lives.
In this episode, we explore how discovering your primary element can help you better understand your natural rhythms, where you tend to get stuck, and what kinds of practices bring you back into alignment.
You'll also learn how each element offers a completely different strategy for navigating uncertainty, relationships, creativity, grief, and growth.
Whether you're longing for more clarity, more rest, or simply a deeper relationship with Nature and your Intuition...
Press play to hear:
- The difference between the Western four-element system and the Taoist Five Element tradition
- Why the Five Elements are better understood as movements rather than personality types
- How to discover your primary element using your birth year
- The gifts, challenges, emotions, and spiritual invitations of Fire, Earth, Mineral (Metal), Water, and Nature (Wood)
- Practical ways each element approaches decision-making and life's challenges
- How the Seasons themselves become guides for personal growth
- Reflection questions to help you deepen your own elemental practice
As you listen, notice:
- Which element feels most like home?
- Which element are you being invited to cultivate right now?
- How might your current challenge look different if you approached it from another elemental direction?
I'd love to hear what resonated with you. Send me a message or come join us in a future Wild Wellness Women's Circle.

More commonly referred to as Midsummer’s Night, Litha is believed to be a time when faerie folk pass into the human world at Twilight and offer blessings, and sometimes mischief. If you’re familiar with Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this is a great example of the mischief the faeries do to interfere with humans just for fun.

323. The Unique and Unrepeatable Miracle of Your Human Voice: Why We Need to Hear Each Other and What We're Losing When Everything Becomes Text
☀️The Summer Sanctuary is now open! Join me June 24-Aug 14 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
Did you know I'm a twin?
Growing up, we loved the TV show Sister, Sister. We always wished we could pull off the same twin-switch pranks as the characters on the show.
Since we're fraternal twins, we could never fool anyone in person. But over the phone? That was another story. We tried and sometimes succeeded! We could trick some boys calling, at least for a little while, but the people closest to us could tell instantly who was who.
Our unique voices gave us away.
Press play hear:
- Why humans are naturally wired for vocal communication
- What gets lost when communication becomes primarily text-based
- The surprising relationship between voice and nervous system regulation
- How we can often tell someone isn't okay before they ever tell us
- Why texting isn't always as efficient as we've been taught to believe
- How much effort it takes to edit, filter, and manage written communication
- How technology is changing the way we relate to one another
- How hearing another person's voice can help us feel seen, understood, and connected
This episode is an invitation to remember that your voice carries so much more information than words. It carries emotion, relationship, history, presence, and medicine.
And in a world where more and more of our lives are mediated through screens, perhaps one of the most healing and human things we can do is simply hear each other.

☀️The Summer Sanctuary is now open! Join me June 24-Aug 14 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
What started as my daughter Elsie doing some innocent role-playing with ChatGPT eventually led to her crying and saying it was creepy.
That experience opened the door to a much bigger conversation about Right Relationship with technology, attention, creativity, belonging, and what it means to stay human in an increasingly AI world.
Press play to hear:

321. How to Stay Connected to Yourself When Life Is Full: Over-Functioning, Under-Resourcing, Devotion, Depletion, and Creating Conditions Where Life Can Actually Thrive
☀️The Summer Sanctuary is now open! Join me June 24-Aug 14 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
Most women I talk to don’t actually hate their lives.
They love their children.
They love their partners.
They care deeply about their work, their communities, and the lives they’ve built.
The problem usually isn’t that their priorities are completely wrong.
The problem is that they’re over-functioning and under-resourcing.
Press play to hear:
- the difference between devotion and self-abandonment
- why so many women are operating from depletion instead of Love
- how modern environments disconnect us from ourselves
- why most women do not need more self-improvement

- creating spaciousness inside fullness

320. Channeling Clarity & Overcoming Overthinking With A Pendulum Practice
We can get so caught up in cycles of doubt, insecurity, overthinking, overanalyzing, analysis paralysis, second guessing, getting stuck, procrastinating, and all of these obstacles in our decision-making.
And beginning to use a pendulum to ask anything—from the most simple and basic low-risk type of question, to making some of the biggest decisions of my life—has really freed me from all of those monkey mind games that used to set me back.
And I'm on a mission to share that kind of freedom with others.
In this episode, I’ll be teaching us how divination was once a universal folk practice, why it’s actually normal to consult your intuition (and quite abnormal not to), and how to use a pendulum (or any weighted necklace) to access clear yes/no guidance from your body, intuition, ancestors, or divine support team.
We’ll explore the science-backed connection between pendulum work and muscle testing, discuss who or what we might be channeling, and have hands-on practice together in real time.
By the end, you’ll have a grounded process for using a pendulum to make aligned decisions rooted in love, clarity, and intuition.

319. The Parts Of Us That Seem At War Over Living Out Our Gifts
In the Taoist 5 Element System, the element of the Spring Season is called Nature (sometimes called Wood.)
Our Nature is really about our gifts. We all have inherent gifts that we are born with that are meant for our own benefit (to enjoy!) and meant for others' benefit too (to serve.)
I have a free Discover Your Spiritual Gifts class that complements this episode really well for you. Grab it here.
Most of our problems in Life really do come down to not knowing ourselves, not loving ourselves, and not BEING ourselves.
Why is it like that for so many of us?!
It's definitely not your own fault.
It's because of the culture and systems that we are born into, that are so disconnected now from this kind of truth.
But I do believe we are coming Home, with so many more people individually awakening, but also a collective shift back into this.
I think it's inevitable with the rise of AI that we will have a reawakening of what sets us apart as humans and spirits—our spiritual gifts.
Today's episode is a recording of a client coaching call that I just know you're gonna relate to!
If you feel disconnected from your gifts or like Fear (which btw ultimately does come from Love!) is getting in the way of you fully stepping into them, you're going to love this episode.

Beltane marks the halfway point between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. We talk about why social media and modern technology can feel so overwhelming, what’s actually happening in your nervous system, and the deeper truth that often gets missed:
This is not a personal failure. The system itself changed.

314. When Social Media Stopped Feeling Good & How I Reclaimed My Time, Attention, & Energy
I didn’t decide all at once to change my relationship with social media.
It happened slowly.
In this episode, I’m sharing the story of how things started to feel different for me—how something that once felt connective and alive began to feel extractive, overwhelming, and out of alignment.
I talk about the moment where something really clicked, the questions that changed everything, and how I began experimenting instead of forcing a drastic change.
This is a conversation about Attention, Time, and what it means to come back into Right Relationship with the systems we participate in.
If you’ve been feeling like your attention is scattered, your time isn’t your own, or you’re trying to win inside a game you don’t even want to be playing anymore… you’re not alone.

- Why I didn’t quit social media—and what I did instead
- The small, experimental shifts that changed everything
- Why deeper connection, not more content, was what I was actually craving, and how I UPGRADED instead of deprived myself
- How voice notes and asynchronous connection became more meaningful for me
- The question that reframed my entire relationship with time: What could I do with those same 12 hours a week if I put them somewhere else?
As you listen, you might notice:
What has shifted in your own relationship with social media over time?
And what are you actually craving when you reach for it?

313. If the Earth Were a Person: Animism & Earth Day Magic
If the Earth were a Person, how would you describe what they are like, and how would you describe your relationship with them?
I was brought up in a religion that taught me that nature is something separate from us and subservient to us.
It’s alive in a sense, but definitely not conscious. I was taught that it’s impersonal, and it definitely didn’t have a soul or spirit.
It’s beautiful, sure, but it’s mainly a utility that exists to resource humans. It’s here to be the support system and backdrop to the most important existence of humans.
Basically, it’s inanimate.
But in the last couple of years, especially after my first psychedelic experience, I see things completely differently.
Throughout most of human history, human beings believed in animism, and it doesn’t contradict religion (or, it doesn’t have to.)
Animism is the belief that everything in Nature is alive and has a spirit or consciousness—not just humans and animals, but also trees, rivers, rocks, mountains, and even weather systems.
It’s one of the oldest belief systems in the world and is found in many Indigenous and earth-based traditions.
Animism teaches that the world is made up of relationships - that we’re in constant dialogue with the more-than-human world, and that everything is interconnected and deserving of respect.

312. How Does Reiki Work? w/ Michelle Poverman
I saw Michelle’s profile on LinkedIn one day and literally just felt drawn to connect with her. I messaged her promising I wasn’t selling anything, just that I thought it was so cool she is an intuitive therapist from Massachusetts (where I'm from too!) and that we have a lot in common.
Then I pretty quickly after that saw that she was starting her own podcast and was looking for guests and I volunteered, and I was her very first guest! We have talked mainly about the soul of weight loss and healing from body objectification, things we are both very passionate about, but we also have in common that we are both reiki practitioners!
This is our first time talking about it together and I wanted to have her come teach inside the Wild Wellness Women's Circle, and also have her community and my community (that’s you!) get to hear this replay!
Michelle has a fully booked therapy practice, she has an amazing top-rated podcast called “Into the Work: Therapy for Empaths and Seekers,” she’s a reiki practitioner, AND she teaches others to become reiki practitioners. She teaches transformative classes online and holds group healing ceremonies too.
Press play to hear this 90-minute interactive session women's circle gathering, featuring Michelle’s expertise on:
How do you understand how Reiki works — physiologically, energetically, magically, or even from a quantum physics perspective?
What role does the placebo effect plays in Reiki sessions?
How to reconcile Reiki with any other belief systems in your life, like religious upbringing?
How does Reiki help tame our inner critic?
What is an Empath and why might they particularly need Reiki for both physical and emotional issues?
How to know whether you need talk therapy, Reiki, or both?

Today is April Fool's Day, and instead of talking about pranks or jokes, we're exploring the deeper archetypal meaning of the Fool.
In this episode, I'm weaving together the archetype of Fool from the Tarot, the Maiden from feminine archetypal work, and the lived experience of Spring as a Season of not knowing, beginning, and becoming.
Because what if the part of you that doesn't have it all figured out yet IS NOT A PROBLEM?
We're also talking about:

310. Right Relationship: You Don't Have to Burn Your Life Down to Find Alignment
I've been thinking a lot about how quickly we're taught to leave something the moment it feels off.
Burn it down. Pivot. Start over.
In the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, we're in the Connection Full Moon this Wednesday, April 1.
It's about how alignment doesn't always come from making a big move. Sometimes it comes from staying long enough to understand what's actually out of alignment, and letting it come back into right relationship.
That doesn't mean you stay forever.
It means you don't let fear, force, or shame make the decision for you.
For anyone navigating tension, transition, or "something's shifting but I can't name it yet," I made a free moon guide for you.
In this episode, I'm walking you through the current full moon theme's about alignment, right relationship, and staying rooted while things reorganize.
Press play to hear:
- What right relationship actually means (and how to feel it in your Life)
- The difference between leaving from alignment vs. leaving from fear
- Why tension doesn't mean something is wrong
- The current "weather" of cyclical Time and orienting to the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, Western astrology, and the Native American full moon names
If you've been feeling the urge to pivot, quit, or start over, this episode will help you slow down and listen more deeply before you make your next move.

As we just crossed the Spring Equinox, the point of equal darkness and light, Balance is calling to us.
But the way we are "sold" the concept of work/life balance is usually rooted in Fear, capitalism, "peak performance," biohacking, and all kinds of exhausting pieces of advice that aren't actually possible, sustainable, or enjoyable.
If work/life balance or the concept of balance in your life has been a struggle for you, dear God you’re not alone. I don’t think we have as much of a problem with balance in our lives.
The problem is with our understanding of balance and the permission we give ourselves to balance our lives.
In this replay of a gathering in the Wild Wellness Women's Circle, I'm bringing you a completely NEW way to think about balance that will bring you so much FREEDOM.

306. 3 Lists That Helped Me Reclaim My Time and Energy (and Feel Like My Life Was Mine Again)
🌸The Spring Sanctuary is now open! Join me March 25-May 15 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
There was a point where my life looked great on the outside... but didn't feel like mine.
Not because anything was "wrong."
But because I was constantly reacting, managing, holding things together—and somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling like I was actually truly living my own Life.
In this episode, I'm sharing 3 simple lists that I've come back to over and over again—both personally and with my clients—because they help me return to my True Self in a real, grounded, practical way.
Not by managing Time better, but by changing my relationship with it.
These are not productivity tools.
They're small, honest practices that help you see:
- what you've had enough of
- what you actually want more of
- what you're carrying that was never yours
- and why the things that matter most keep getting pushed aside
But we also go deeper than that.
Because Clarity isn't usually the problem.
Most women already know what they need.
The harder part is actually living it—especially when you're doing it alone, inside Systems that reward urgency and over-functioning.
If you've been feeling stretched thin, "behind" or "absent" from your own Life, or like something needs to shift but feels impossible... this episode will meet you there.
A gentle place to start:
- You don't need to overhaul your Life.
- Just start with the lists.
- Let yourself see what's True.
- And notice what Love then begins to ask gently of you.
If you're wanting a space where this kind of shift can actually be LIVED—not just thought about—the Spring Sanctuary is here to offer you a True Season of Support.

305. Why So Many Women Feel Disconnected & How To Upgrade from Social Media to Microdosing Connection
🌸The Spring Sanctuary is now open! Join me March 25-May 15 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
Have you ever picked up your phone for a second... and somehow lost 30 minutes?
In this episode, we're talking about a kind of disconnection that most women feel but rarely name.
Not exactly loneliness or burnout, but a persistent sense that you're not fully inhabiting your own Life.
We turn to social media to try to meet that need.
It gives us the false but fleeting sense of connection without the real nourishment of it.
So we keep going back, again and again, hoping we'll find but we're looking for but rarely do.
In this episode, I share the shift that completely changed my relationship with connection—moving from passive consumption to what I call microdosing connection.
Press play to hear:
- Why social media can leave you feeling more disconnected
- The difference between dopamine hits and real relational nourishment
- What "microdosing connection" actually looks like IRL
- Why so many women feel like connection feels fake or like way too much effort

304. Why So Many Women Try to Heal Alone
🌸The Spring Sanctuary is now open! Join me March 25-May 15 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
Many women try to heal alone, even when they deeply crave connection.
Personal growth and healing often become lonely journeys because traditional group spaces can feel overwhelming. People overshare. Conversations feel forced. The pressure to show up, participate, and keep up with everyone else can make community feel like one more demand on an already full life.
But what if the problem isn't connection itself?
What if the problem is the way connection is structured?
In this episode, we explore the idea of microdosing connection—small, steady forms of relational support that allow growth to happen alongside others without the overwhelm that many group spaces create.
We talk about why women often attempt healing alone and why thoughtfully designed community can actually make the path lighter rather than heavier.
Press play on this episode to hear:
- Why many women prefer doing personal growth alone
- The hidden emotional cost of isolating during healing
- Why traditional group programs can feel draining or performative
- How microdosing connection creates meaningful support without overwhelm
- Why healing in community doesn't have to feel like a group project
Healing doesn't have to happen in isolation, and connection doesn't have to feel like a burden.

302. When Time Isn’t Fair: Reciprocity, Energy, and the Cost of Live Time
🌸The Spring Sanctuary is now open! Join me March 25-May 15 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
Time isn’t always fair, even though most systems treat it as if it were.
An hour is often treated like a neutral unit, something interchangeable that can be scheduled anywhere in the day. But in real life, Time is experienced through bodies, energy, context, and life circumstances.
Some hours nourish us.
Some hours drain us.
And some hours carry a much higher energetic cost than we realize.
In this episode, I explore why fixed schedules and live commitments can actually create imbalances in reciprocity.
Because when something happens at a set time, someone is always engaging during their most resourced hours, while someone else is sacrificing rest, connection, or recovery.
This realization eventually led me to redesign my work around asynchronous support, allowing people to engage when their energy and attention are actually available.
Inside this episode we talk about:
Why an hour is not actually equal to another hour
How modern time structures ignore human energy rhythms
The hidden energetic cost of live schedules and fixed meeting times
Why asynchronous coaching and community restore agency
How designing life around energy reciprocity changes everything
If you've ever wondered why some commitments feel nourishing while others feel impossibly heavy, this conversation may help you see time in a completely new way.
Spring Sanctuary is an eight-week asynchronous women’s circle (March 25—May 15) designed around these principles of energy, reciprocity, and seasonal rhythm.

301. How Changing Your Relationship with Time Changes Everything
🌸The Spring Sanctuary is now open! Join me March 25-May 15 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
Changing your relationship with Time can change everything about how you live your Life.
We feel constantly rushed, overextended, and "behind," even when we're doing everything “right.” We manage calendars, optimize routines, and try to stay responsible for everything that matters to us, yet it never feels like enough.
In this episode, I explore what actually begins to shift when you stop relating to Time through urgency and pressure and begin relating to it through alignment.
Because when your relationship with Time changes, other things begin to change too.
- You pause before saying yes.
- You stop making decisions from urgency.
- You begin noticing the difference between what is truly yours to carry and what was never yours in the first place.
- You feel steadier in your own rhythm and less hunted by expectations.
- You start trusting your own timing again.
Inside this conversation, we explore:
- Why capable women often feel overextended and undernourished
- How urgency quietly shapes our decisions and commitments
- The difference between living from fear versus living from devotion
- Why changing your relationship with time changes your boundaries, energy, and choices
- What life can begin to look like when you move through Time differently
This episode also describes the transformation you'll experience inside the Spring Sanctuary, an eight-week fully asynchronous women’s circle designed to help you rewild your relationship with Time, Energy, and Motivation.

300. Chronos vs Kairos: Rewilding Your Relationship With Time
🌸The Spring Sanctuary is now open! Join me March 25-May 15 in a protected wildlife preserve for your Natural Self.
In this episode, we answer the question:
What does it actually mean to rewild time? And what does that even look like?
To explore this, we look at two ancient Greek understandings of time: chronos and kairos.
Chronos is quantitative time. Clock time. Calendar time. Scheduled time. It measures how fast something happens and how efficiently it can be completed.
Kairos is qualitative time. It is the right moment, the ripe moment, the moment when conditions align and something becomes possible.
Modern systems are built almost entirely around Chronos.
Nature moves through Kairos.
Rewilding time means learning to notice the quality of time again—both inside us and around us—rather than forcing every moment into a rigid schedule or policing ourselves with time management and productivity metrics.
In this episode, I also walk through how the upcoming Spring Sanctuary actually works as an eight-week asynchronous space designed to support this shift.
Instead of forcing productivity, we experiment with attunement.
Instead of racing the clock, we begin responding to Season.
The structure is simple. The shift is profound.
