The Try And Stop Her Podcast - With Em Gee
By Em Gee
Hosted by Em Gee - the visionary behind putting the book together , each episode features a candid conversation with one of the remarkable women who contributed to this groundbreaking piece of work.
We'll chat all about how they overcame challenges in life, business AND writing their chapter. Join us for a sweet but empowering dose of inspiration in every episode.

Ep.21 - Be Unstoppable, not Unavailable - Tempo Co
You don’t do it all - and guess what? You’re not meant to.
In this episode, I sit down with Sarah and Rochelle, the brilliant duo behind TempoCo, an agency redefining what it means to outsource with heart.
We go deep into why they’re not just another VA agency, how AI is changing the game (but not replacing humans), and why sustainable support should never come at the cost of your sanity.
They’re the team behind the scenes at our Try and Stop Her book launch, and their work is the reason so many businesses - and humans - are thriving.
How TempoCo went from two VAs to a whole movement
The real reason most women in biz burn out (hint: they wait too long to ask for help)
Why VA + AI = the dream team for scaling sustainably
The Delilah Bot 👀 that’s quietly transforming how their clients operate
How they’re giving back — not just to Aussie businesses, but to children in the Philippines too
“We’re not a VA agency. We’re a VAI agency — Virtual Assistant + AI, the future is now.”

🧡 Big thanks to TempoCo for sponsoring the Try and Stop Her book launch and backing women in business every damn day.

Ep.20 - Grief turns to gold - Sophie May
She wrote her chapter at 9pm the night it was due.
Fueled by baby wakeups, a looping Killers song, and a quiet nudge from the universe, Sophie May brings that soft-yet-savage fire to this episode.
We talk about what it really means to share your story, the importance of letting space exist before filling it, and why not having an offer doesn’t mean you don’t have value (say it louder for the burnt-out biz babes in the back).
Sophie is a self-facilitator, storyteller, and all-round glorious human whose energy is equal parts grounding and electric. You’re gonna want to hang out with her by the end of this one - guaranteed.
How Sophie almost missed the book invite - then said yes at the perfect moment
What writing at midnight while feeding a baby can actually produce (spoiler: gold)
That time her pre-primary teacher turned out to be a fellow author at the launch
Why rest, space and “nothing” are actually a powerful business strategy
The unexpected joy of being unprepared on stage - and realising it’s your superpower
“Even in your hardest moments, you're not alone. And when you’re ready - you can alchemise it.”

Ep. 19 Stay quiet, nobody likes a loud mouth - Becky Felstead
From photographer to PT to powerhouse speaker - Becky Felstead is the kind of woman who reinvents with purpose and speaks with heart. In this episode, she dives into how her ADHD-fuelled, big-hearted, multi-career path led her to working in mining, where she now delivers life-changing mental health programs to thousands.
We chat about why she said YES to writing her chapter, the healing power of storytelling, and why she walked on stage in front of 1,100 people holding the Try and Stop Her book like a boss. (No big deal.)
This is one of those real, raw, ripple-effect convos that hits hard - and lingers.
- From shark attacks to burnout: Becky’s wild career evolution
- Why she’s reframing workplace culture from the inside out
- The shift from righteousness to real connection in advocacy

Ep.18 - Confessions of a Business Coach - Donna Hann
In this episode, I’m joined by the incredible Donna Hann - certified high-performance coach, regional business advocate, and woman who literally moved across the country while writing her chapter for this book. Wild.
We talk about what it’s really like to grow a business and a life at the same time — the mess, the mindset, and the moments that make you question everything. Donna doesn’t hold back on her experience juggling motherhood, marriage, a booming dance studio, and a complete identity shift. Oh - and she drops one of the best analogies you’ll hear all week: glass balls vs rubber balls. You’ll never look at your to-do list the same way again.
What made Donna say “yes” to writing a book mid-business chaos
Navigating burnout, big life moves, and the pressure to show up on socials
The dance studio days that led to her becoming a coach
How to know when to drop the ball (and which ones will bounce)
Why she’s doubling down on supporting regional women in business
“Some balls are glass. Some are rubber. You have to know which ones you can afford to drop.”

Ep.17 She's honestly mental - Corrina Rawlinson
In this episode of Try and Stop Her, I sit down with long-time friend, business whiz, and honestly mental powerhouse, Corrina Rawlinson.
Corrina wears many hats - she co-runs a successful machinery business with her husband, offers business operations support through her own consultancy, and casually manages to build personal AI tools in her spare time (because of course she does). But this convo isn’t just about business. It’s about survival, honesty, and learning to stop sweeping your sh*t under the rug.
We dive into Corrina’s journey of being diagnosed with ADHD while writing her chapter, her history with mental health, and how she almost didn’t tell anyone she was writing a book until a week before launch.
This is one of the rawest convos of the series - packed with laughs, some tears, and a lot of truth bombs. Whether you’ve ever felt like the doormat, the fixer, or the one who just keeps going until you break, Corrina’s story will land right in your gut.

She’s one of the co-authors of Try and Stop Her, and inside this episode, she shares the behind-the-scenes of writing her chapter, how it cracked open a new sense of possibility, and why you don’t need to be a “numbers person” to feel financially confident in your biz.

Ep.45 How Much Money I Make and WHY We Need To Talk About It
90% of female owned businesses are making less than 100k annually.
I previously hated the ‘6 figure’ conversation BUT, now I realise, we need to have it.
Because if you aren’t making 6 figures in your business, you’re likely to be struggling, and therefore you might not stay in business forever, and then the world misses out on what you have to offer.
In this episode I share my own evolving thoughts on sharing 'money' as part of marketing
PLUS
I share real numbers. I share what I pay myself, how much revenue I'm making, and how that's allocated.

Ep.35 Leading Your Own Decisions: Is it FEAR or Intuition?
Half of the reason a new client comes to me is because they feel they need guidance. Should I do this, or should I do that?
I'm going to shoot myself in the foot by telling you - YOU actually have the answers. Not me.
Your intuition is better than any coach.
But here's the thing - because we are human, we live with fear. And oftentimes - fear overtakes our decision making ability.
So what if you could tap into your inner knowing, and REALLY fkn trust yourself to make the right decision?
In this episode I share:
- My own personal journey from rejecting my intuition, to uncovering it's power.
- Why toxic positivity can be detrimental as it suppresses negative emotions and perpetuates a negative cycle.
- Trauma can be stored in the body, and alternative healing modalities like cranial sacral osteopathy and kinesiology can help release it.
- How Human Design provides insights into one's unique design and decision-making process.
- Trusting one's intuition and listening to the body's wisdom is crucial in making aligned decisions in business.

Ep.30 Fight or Flight is SO Last Season - with Harmony Jade
Do you ever completely switch off from business mode? I'm 100% guilty of pushing and hustling more than I care to admit - so I got Harmony Jade on the show to talk about mindset, nervous system regulation, and how to actually NAIL the work/life balance on your terms.
Key Takeaways...
✨Women have been fighting for their place in society for a long time, which puts the nervous system into constant "fight or flight" mode.
✨Outdated social constructs and roles, like the expectation that mothers are fully responsible for childcare, negatively impact women's nervous systems.
✨Knowing your own optimal routine that makes you feel energized and aligned, whether that's morning yoga or just a walk and coffee, is key. Don't force yourself into someone else's routine just because it works for them. ✨Consistency over intensity - ditch the adrenaline spikes for long-term zen.
✨Rest with intention - it's not laziness, it's listening to your bod.

Ep.28 The Key to Scaling Your Biz Through People and Operations - with Chrissy Saffioti
Chrissy Safiotti is an expert in people and operations with over 13 years of experience. She launched her business, Grow Advantage, in January 2022, with a focus on supporting female small business owners with their people and operations. Chrissy's goal is to help women grow and scale their businesses by providing them with the necessary support and systems.
Here are the juicy key takeaways that Chrissy generously shared with us:
Delegate Like a Boss: It's crucial it is for small business owners to delegate tasks effectively. By outsourcing lower-value tasks, you free up your precious time to focus on what truly matters – those high-value, needle-moving activities that drive your business forward.
Sell the Dream: When it comes to attracting the right talent, Chrissy suggests a shift in perspective. Rather than merely highlighting your company, focus on showcasing the benefits and flexibility that the position offers. This approach will not only draw in top-tier candidates but also create a harmonious work environment.
Smooth Sailing with Systems: A well-defined hiring process and timeline are like the wind beneath your recruitment wings.
Systematise for Success: Building effective systems and processes is like oiling the gears of your business engine. They not only make your life easier but also provide the best experience for your clients.
The Perfect Match: Finally, Chrissy reminds us of the importance of aligning skills and strengths with roles. Don't try to fit a square peg into a round hole. Match the right person to the right role, and watch your business go boom!

In this episode I talk about the current political situation in both Australia and the Middle East. I share a little about my view, but this is not to convince you to take on my view - more to open up perspective.
I then cover:
➡️ How politics and war are run by marketing machines
➡️ Our perception and politics
➡️ The propoganda game
➡️ Media manipulation
➡️ What YOU can do about it.

Ep.19 Why I DON'T use Kajabi like 'every other coach'
If you offer an online digital service or product, you've probably heard of Kajabi. It's the cult software that 'everyone' uses. Well... not everyone. I DON'T!
Good business decisions are based off researching what your business needs and finding the solution that fits.
Kajabi does not fit what I need for a reasonable price, in fact, I would need to spend 4x as much as I currently do to get what I need.
Cashflow is king, so I'm not spending 4x as much on something just because 'everyone else is doing it'.
In this episode, I outline why I don't use Kajabi, and share some of the alternatives.
I also share a process you can go through to determine what you need.
