Borderlands: Dead ECHOs
Borderlands: Dead ECHOs is a darkly comedic audio drama set in the chaotic Borderlands universe. It follows Watts, a disenchanted DAHL Echo Operator, who supplements his meager pay by sifting through undeliverable ECHO Logs, and selling the secrets inside to the highest bidder. When Junie, a curious stranger with big ideas and a secretive past, gets him out of a jam, the two strike up an unlikely partnership. As Junie injects a daring Robin Hood twist into Watts’ amateur criminal enterprise, their ECHO-brokering operation draws attention from ruthless mercenaries, violent outlaws, and DAHL’s deadly corporate hit squad lead by power hungry rogue executive, Vivian Proctor.
With a little too much heat on the operation our team ventures out into the wider Borderlands universe where they encounter fan favorite characters, and visit familiar locales. Throughout their adventures, Watts realizes Junie’s unwavering kindness and strength are the key to breaking free of his stagnant life on Pandora. Similarly, Junie discovers Watts’ radical acceptance and infectious vibes are what she needs to stop running and reconcile with her dark past.
