Teresa Shares Her Story: Young Motherhood, Postpartum Struggles & Finding Herself Again | MomStar Podcast

Teresa Shares Her Story: Young Motherhood, Postpartum Struggles & Finding Herself Again | MomStar Podcast

Teresa shares her powerful journey through young motherhood, postpartum struggles, raising a growing family, becoming a guardian, and ultimately rediscovering herself as a woman beyond motherhood.

In this heartfelt episode of the MomStar Podcast, Teresa reflects on becoming a mother at a young age and raising three children close together. Her early motherhood journey included difficult pregnancies, multiple C-sections, pregnancy complications, grief after losing her grandmother, and moments of deep loneliness.

Teresa also opens up about the postpartum fears and intrusive thoughts she experienced after becoming a mom—feelings she kept to herself because postpartum mental health wasn't openly discussed at the time. Looking back, she recognizes how important it is for mothers to have a safe space where they can talk honestly about what they're experiencing and ask for support.

Years later, Teresa's motherhood journey took another unexpected turn when she learned that her sister and two nephews were homeless. Teresa welcomed them into her home and eventually became guardian to her nephews while navigating her sister's serious mental health challenges. Suddenly, she was caring for five children attending five different schools, while also managing court hearings, therapy, work, and family life.

As her children grew older, Teresa began asking an important question: “How can I find myself again?” She found community, personal development, new opportunities, and a renewed sense of identity outside of being a mom.

Teresa's story is a reminder that it's never too late to reinvent yourself, seek support, build community, and discover who you are in a new season of life.

🎙️ Listen to Teresa's story on the MomStar Podcast—a conversation about motherhood, postpartum mental health, family, guardianship, resilience, self-discovery, and starting a new chapter.

Celine Shares Her Story: From a Difficult Childhood to Mompreneur & Business Owner | MomStar Podcast

Celine Shares Her Story: From a Difficult Childhood to Mompreneur & Business Owner | MomStar Podcast

Celine shares her powerful story of overcoming a difficult childhood, rebuilding her life, becoming a mother, pursuing her education, and ultimately becoming a nurse injector and business owner.

In this inspiring episode of the MomStar Podcast, Celine opens up about growing up without a strong sense of community, navigating a difficult family environment, and running away from home at just 14 years old. She later found herself in a chaotic and abusive teenage relationship, but those experiences would not determine the future she created for herself.

After starting her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Celine discovered her passion for the medical field. As a high-school dropout, she earned her GED and began the long journey toward becoming a nurse—all while navigating marriage, pregnancy, motherhood, moving states, financial challenges, and raising her children.

Her degree took seven years to complete, but she refused to give up. With encouragement from her husband, Celine continued one class at a time and graduated in 2024. She later became a nurse injector and opened her own business, Desert Beauty Aesthetics, in Arizona.

Celine’s message for women is powerful: your past does not define who you are today. Difficult circumstances may shape your journey, but you can continue moving forward, create your own future, and take life one step at a time.

🎙️ Listen to Celine’s story on the MomStar Podcast—a conversation about motherhood, overcoming adversity, education, resilience, entrepreneurship, and building a better future.

Asya Shares Her Story: Motherhood, the Invisible Load & Finding Yourself Again | MomStar Podcast

Asya shares her honest story about motherhood, the invisible mental load, mom guilt, self-care, and the journey of finding yourself again after becoming a mom.

In this episode of the MomStar Podcast, Asya opens up about raising three children while navigating the constant responsibilities that often fall on moms—from organizing childcare and activities to managing the countless decisions happening behind the scenes. She explains how recognizing the invisible mental load of motherhood helped her better understand why she often felt overwhelmed and exhausted.

Asya also discusses homeschooling, working as a mom, childcare, asking for help, and the guilt women can experience when taking time for themselves. The conversation explores the pressure many mothers feel to manage their children, careers, homes, appointments and relationships while still appearing to have everything together.

A surprising turning point for Asya was discovering karate and other activities for herself. Learning something new reminded her how important it is for moms to have interests, experiences and an identity outside of motherhood.

This honest conversation is a reminder that whether you're a stay-at-home mom, working mom, homeschooling mom, or somewhere in between, you don't have to lose yourself in motherhood.
