Rogue Cell interviews Writer's Guild Initiative mentors about their work to support veterans through writing instruction during the R&R for the Brave retreat in Bend, OR. Sean was one of the mentors along with Fred Graver, Colleen Worthman, and David Tucker II. Brad was one of the participants.

Brad and Sean talk to a man who went through BUDS training in the Navy, he went to war in Iraq with the Oregon National Guard, but then left to work with OGA (other government agencies) and traveled to many undisclosed locations with the DOD.

Brad and guest hosts Jack and Click interview Dan from the K9 Kavalry, Vietnam veterans from the 1st Cavalry, FIDO "Ani-meals on Wheels," members of the 501st and Rebel Legion, and a Washington County Veteran Services officer at a fund-raising event for the K9 Kavalry. K9 Kavalry seeks out Veterans with wartime PTSD and helps them address their service-connected disabilities by giving them the ability to train their dog to provide the custom support they need most.

Sean and Brad interview Javi Romo about his service, post-service journey and his R&R for the Brave retreat.

Cheryl Costa climbed telephone poles for the Air Force in Vietnam. She also served on a submarine during the Cold War. Cheryl discusses this service along with her later transition from a man to a woman in the 80s, being a transgender advocate and leader, her time as a Wiccan and Yogi, and finally, as a respected UFO researcher.

Captain Kim Liszka is an elemental force no one can stop.

It’s early May, and Rogue Cell drove out on yet another deployment. We traveled six hours southeast, over the Santiam Pass to stay at LOGE outside of Bend in Central Oregon to talk with Kim about her women's veteran retreat.

We discovered that his nickname in Vietnam was “Burning-Churning Napalm.” He spoke about how he went from a student majoring in physics and mathematics to an infantryman charging Hamburger Hill over a dozen times. We want to give his story the respect due, so we decided not to cut it down and make it Part 1 of our Monroe, Oregon, podcast.
