As a cache owner, do you have when you get a log notice and all it says is "TFTC"?  What about those logs that are just "." or just a space so the log looks bank?  It's disheartening when you put effort into hiding a geocache and get these kind of lazy logs but what can you do about it?

A wherigo is a unique type of geocache. They have a physical container like a traditional cache and immerse you in unique experience a bit like an adventure lab. They are truly one or a kind. However, they also present some unique challenges. From trying to create a wherigo to trying to load the cartridge, these geocaches are known for frustrating geocahers. In this episode, I talk with fellow geocacher, Steve Miller, about wherigo geocaches. We take a look about how to create them, how to play them, and how they compare to adventure labs.

If you're a goecacher in the USA then you've likely heard of "FTF magazine", a geocaching magazine.  In the UK they have their own version called "PinPoint Magazine".  Join me this week as I talk with Andy, founder, writer, and editor of PintPoint Magazine to hear how it go started and what types of articles it features.

Many of you may have heard of Cache Advance or have seen videos on social media of Cache Crate unboxings.  Cache Advance is a well known geocaching company based in the US that has been around nearly as long as geocaching has.  Join me as I talk to owner and founder of Cache Advance, Lisa (aka LookoutLisa), and find out how Cache Advance started and what it has to offer today.

Many geocachers enjoy counting counties and several have completed all 48 continental states but one geocacher has taken doing that it to a new level.  Originally starting with a goal of all counties in one state per a year, Nick aka Magplanner, set out to get all 48 continental states.  But life changes and plans take shape to move Nick over seas, a new plan forms.  After many hours of planning and modifying his car, Nick and his dog set out on an epic geocaching journey to get all the counties in the 34 remaining continental states he needed.  Join me this episode as I talk with Nick about his journey.

This episode I am joined by returning guest, Scott, GSMx2.  Scott has been on the podcast before talking about various topics from refreshing the game board, adventure lab tips and tricks, and the Route 66 adventure lab series.  This episode we revisit the Route 66 Adventure Lab Series, which Scott coordinated, but this time he's talking about it from the point of view of someone who has made the journey along Route 66 to cache the series.

It's always fun talking geocaching with other geocachers.  For me, it's especially fun to talk with other geocaching content creators as well.  Every time I get a chance to talk to another creator, I always end up feeling inspired and learning something new.  In this episode I talk with fellow geocacher and content creator GeoElmo600.  We discuss what content creating is like for him and about one of my favorite videos of his (which is also a geocaching trackable) and more.

Geocaching is a great activity to do with kids but it can be hard to find a good way to introduce them to it.  Especially when it comes to younger kids.  But it doesn't have to be.   "Sophia Finds a Geocache" is an adorable children's book designed to help introduce kids to the wonder world of geocaching.  Join me this episode as I walk with Angie (geocacher Jangie) the author of "Sophia Finds a Geocache", to learn about the books inspiration, how it came to be, and the fun little secrets waiting to be found inside.

Most people aren't thrilled with bugs but some people down right hate them or are even terrified of them.  This can be an issue when geocaching.  So what can we do to limit exposure to bugs and how can you geocache when you're afraid of them?  This episode I'm joined by returning guest Lee Katz, aka Varofharken, as we take a look at how to avoid bugs while geocaching.

G. Scott Miller (aka gsmx2), is the coordinator of an impressive series of lab cache along historic Route 66.  Recently Scott has had the opportunity to travel Route 66 and cache along the way.  Scott has been a guest on the show several times and is supporter and friend of the show.

Many geocachers are familiar with the jasmer challenge, finding a geocache that was place every month of every year since geocaching started.  It is a popular and well known aspect to the geocaching game.  Some geocachers even strive to complete a double or even triple jasmer.  But how did it get started?  This episode I talk with Bryce, AKA JasmerB, the creator of the jasmer challenge and learn how the jasmer crazy came about.

Trackables are one of my favorite parts of geocaching. I love seeing where they've been on helping them move along when possible. But I've found some geocachers that have taken it to another level with their travel bug tours. I have been wanting to do an episode on creative geocache containers and talk about some ways to add a bit of creativity to you cache containers. While poking around on the internet looking for some different types of sources, I came across a book on Amazon called "Easy Goecaching: Simple Cache Containers" by Vince Migliore. I decided to check it out and bought the kindle version of the book. While the episode on creative geocache containers is still being developed, I thought I would share with you a review of this book. The Amazon link is listed in the show notes for anyone who is interested in checking it out. I also talk some about other places to find ideas for create geocaches.
