- If you are using one of our partner membership platforms, you can seamlessly connect your paid podcast to Spotify. It’s fast, free, and all the hard work has been done for you.
If you’re already hosting a podcast with Spotify for Creators or thinking of starting your own show, you can use our built-in podcast subscription tools. - It’s free! Spotify does not take a cut from new or existing paid memberships, and we don’t charge your membership platform for the integration. You’ll continue to manage transactions and engagement from your existing platform, and own your relationship with your members—including the new ones you find on Spotify.
- We encrypt all paid podcast episodes submitted to Spotify. When a member links their podcast membership account with their Spotify account, we assign a decryption key to the user’s account, authorizing them to listen to your show.
- Spotify uses a web standard called OAuth to link podcast membership accounts with Spotify accounts. The API (called Spotify Open Access) allows partners to send Spotify information about who has access to which content.

See the developer hub for more details. - At the moment you are not able to use this integration. Ask your membership platform representative to integrate the Spotify Open Access API (it’s free for them, too).
- If you already host a podcast on Spotify for Creators, you can activate podcast subscriptions in most markets, enabling you to earn money from paying members (who can choose to access your content on Spotify or other platforms). You can also use one of our integrated membership platforms.
- Spotify for Creators is a great free tool to help you get started. It has everything you need to tell your story and reach listeners around the world—whether it’s through a paid podcast feed or a free one.
Megaphone is Spotify’s enterprise podcasting platform. Megaphone could be a good fit for creators or publishers who have more than one show, manage their show with multiple team members, and/or require advanced monetization tools to support their business. Learn more about plans and pricing.
