Disciplining our children is one of the hardest, most sensitive subjects among parents. There are so many different theories and opinions out there that it can be hard to know where to start. God's word actually has a decent amount to say about it and Hebrews 12 is one of the best places to start. My prayer is that this episode begins to give you confidence to seek the Lord in loving your children by disciplining them. This is the second episode in a five part series.

"The Lord disciplines the one he loves". The author of Hebrews over and over again connects the Lord's discipline of His children to the kind of earthly discipline parents should be giving their children. It all starts with this idea - if the Lord disciplines His children that He loves, then parents show their love to their children by disciplining them. It's an integral part of how we love our children.
