Through faith, information is received. Abraham received the promise that was spoken to him by God, and that faith expressed in his reception, was accounted to him for righteousness. This is a demonstration of imputed righteousness which took place before the law of Moses was enacted. This means Abraham (still Abram) was counted righteous as a Gentile. But does that mean he was ultimately saved the same way as us? Is Paul's intended message about instruction for our salvation today, or is he demonstrating this Old Testament Pre-Mosaic law account for a different reason? We continue answering those questions in this episode and more, such as:●Whose righteousness was imputed to Abraham?●Was Abraham justified by faith (according to Paul) or works (according to James)?●Why did the pre-mosaic law saints still have to perform works to maintain salvation? ●How does Abraham's salvation differ from ours? ●What would happen if Abraham broke the covenant that God made with him? Paul clearly states justification is obtained in two different ways for two different groups: the circumcision and the uncircumcision. We demonstrated with scripture, how "by faith" and "through faith" are exercised regarding salvation. We also addressed the inconsistencies of Limited Forgivers who attempt to use Acts 26:18 as a "gotcha verse" against Paul's ministry of reconciliation. In doing so, we clearly outlined the usage of the word "receive" in regard to intangible items.Today, we move on to Romans 4 to look at how righteousness is imputed according to faith. We proved with scripture that Jesus did not have to exercise perfect faith in the hope that he would rise on the third day because he KNEW that he would be raised. We also, once again, identified the conflation of two terms which have completely different definitions: faith and faithful. We revealed the error of using these two terms interchangeably. And finally, we took a look at some of the Pauline verses that the most extreme "Jesus had faith" proponents twist into oblivion with no regard to context. Today, we end this "Faith of Christ" series by looking at some scriptures from the earthly ministry of Jesus in which many use as proof that he exercised faith, just as sinful man is required to do. But first, we will break down Paul's description of the Man Christ Jesus in Philippians 2:5-8, a passage used by proponents of the "Kenosis Theory" to claim Christ emptied himself of all Godhead attributes (deity) in order to become a man. We will also take a look at other non-Pauline verses that are often used by those who insist Jesus Christ, God in the flesh - was required to exercise faith during his earthly ministry. In order to claim that Jesus was required to have faith, we must understand what the term "faith" means. We also covered the term "through faith" - and concluded that it does not refer to Jesus being required to exercise faith during his earthly ministry - as some from one extreme group consistently claim.Today, we will examine the statement, "Jesus needed faith to resurrect from the dead." Did Jesus have to exercise perfect faith in the hope that he would rise on the third day? Or did he KNOW that he would be raised? We will also, once again, identify the conflation of two terms which have completely different definitions: faith and faithful. Can we use these two terms interchangeably? And finally, we will take a look at some of the Pauline verses that the most extreme "Jesus had faith" proponents twist into oblivion with no regard to context. We will continue to demonstrate the fact that "from faith to faith" means from...●Law to Grace ●Prophecy to Mystery●Time Past to But Now●Faith of God to Faith of ChristToday we will discover:●Is the gift of Ephesians 2:8 "the faith that Jesus exercised during his earthly ministry?" ●What is the exact definition of "faith" according to Hebrews 11:1?●Is the "faith of Christ" what keeps you saved?●Whose faith is being spoken of in Romans 4:5?●What does "faithful" mean?
