When You're Ready to Listen

Job makes it clear that he was looking for a mediator an arbitrator between him and God. He knew that he could not stand clean before God, still he envisioned a reality where onestands in between and intercedes on his behalf. He did not know it, but he was prophetically declaring the role of both Jesus and the Spirit of God.

Rahab in Job 9 is identified as “the Boaster” or“Arrogant One”: Satan, the dragon pierced by Yahweh. Rahab also symbolizesrebellious people who trust worldly strength, while Babylon represents spiritual captivity; both contrast with Zion and its faithful inhabitants. The“helpers of Rahab” are demonic powers, including the Beast and False Prophet, destined to crouch beneath Christ. Job then admits that innocence cannotjustify him or alter God’s purposes; he can only plead for mercy. His suffering introduces the difficult doctrine of Yahweh’sabsolute sovereignty: good, evil, judgment, and human history remain entirely under His sovereign, complete authority.

Job rejects Bildad’s merit-based theology and acknowledges that no mortal can justify himself before the wise, mighty God.Only God is good; human arguments cannot compel or manipulate Him. Creation, miracles, and sovereign rule testify that Yahweh alone sees and accomplishes what is good. Job’s image of God “snatching away” connects with Jesus’ sheep, the parable of the soils, and harpazō in 1 Thessalonians: believers must continually choose faithful dependence, yet no enemy can seize them from God. The teaching finally links Job’s language to Revelation’s harvest, rapture, and unstoppable wrath, introducing the cosmic “helpers of Rahab.”

Bildad’s response to Job’s suffering exposed the cruelty of his “if/then” theology. Bildad assumes suffering proves sin and thatrestoration will come only if Job becomes pure, upright, and prayerful. He appeals to “the wisdom of yesterday,” treating inherited tradition as unquestionable truth. Yet Scripture reveals Yahweh as merciful to all, blessing by grace rather than merit. Job’s eventual restoration was God’s sovereignpurpose, not payment for improved conduct. The church at Smyrna likewise shows that faithfulness may require endurance until death. True godliness does not judge sufferers; it strengthens them, shares their pain, and loves selflessly.

Job explains that life is nothing but a temporary struggle for there is nothing permanent in this life, nothing of enduring value, and the destiny of one is the destiny of us all. We may have moments of wonder and joy in this life, but it seems everyone is assigned their months, if not years, of futility—long and weary nights of misery. No one escapes this dreadful plight of humanity. And in the midst of intense suffering, it is normal to find yourself on the floor, helpless, desperate, overwhelmed, paralyzed, drowning in wave-after-wave that washes over you, stumbling around like a drunken man, venting with useless words, wondering what is the use of it all and how can yoube of any use to God in this life when you are just wasting away on the verge of utter collapse and defeat. Giving voice to the experience is the often only real release one can find. And that is what Job defends, his right to give voice to his feelings, to his journey.

Fear causes people, like Job’s friends, to say terrible things, religious diatribe that simply does not help. In their fear they make what is happening to the one suffering all about themselves. But the watcher of all humanity has made Job his target not because he did anything “bad” and not because Job is a burden, not because he is like the raging sea or the fireburning dragon, but because He is obsessed with Job and wants to give Job the opportunity to know and experience even more of Him.

In Job’s response to Eliphaz, he chastises Eliphaz, and his friends, as being worthless and providing no relief, no help, no comfort, and no repose from his suffering. He points out that they are driven by fear, a deep inner fear that if there was no“cause” for what is happening to Job then perhaps something similar might just happen to them. The truth is that they do not need to fear for the deepest form of fellowship, the fellowship of Christ’s suffering, is reserved for those who desperately desire to know God for who He is and not for who we want Him to be. But that is not Eliphaz or his friends. They love their religion; they love their if/then God.

Continuing with Eliphaz’s prophetic statements. When we focus on not sinning, disciplining ourselves and holding ourselves accountable so we might be able to control what we do, we are practicing sinning, we are living a lifestyle of ongoing continual sin. We must never forget that there is only one who is good, there is only one who is without sin. He never expected us to be like Him; He has just always wanted us to let Him be to us who He says He is, the “Haya,” our I AM, so He can make us like Him.That is our journey where we learn to make Him our dread, and let Him produce in us His fruit of life.

We will review Eliphaz’s prophetic statements that apply to our life now and some of which apply to the millennial kingdom, when Jesus rules and reigns on the earth. We will scoff at famine and violence and that we will not be afraid of “wild beasts,” which is a euphonism for demonic spirits. And we will overseeour abode and not sin, because when Yahweh is in control, when He reigns as our Lord, we will not sin because He does not sin. Consumed in Yahweh, He can live His life, without sin, without transgression, in-and-through our bodies.

We address the problem with prophets and how they aredesigned to be carriers of a message, but when they try to be the interpreters of the message, they usually corrupt the message with personal bias. Eliphaz was one such prophet. God has given Him some amazing truths, but when he triesto apply these truths to Job, he corrupts it and filters the truth through his if/then God.

We will also begin a great journey of exploring the various prophetic statements and comparing them to other promises and truths throughout the scriptures to validate and understand what the Spirit is saying to those who have ears to listen.

We will do a deep. into what healing looks like. The Father wounds, and He uses various instrumentalities to afflict the damage, like the Satan and his cohort of demonic beings. But His hands heal, Yahweh’s hands. When it comes to restoration and life, Yahweh moves directly and not through some thirdparty or agent. With God everything is personal. Our healing is all about our freedom from the fears which distort the truth about who Yahweh is, who we are, and who we are in relationship with Yahweh. When Yahweh’s hands move in healing, we live victorious over those fears.

God’s predetermined plan includes judgment in our lives. He uses the selfishness and brokenness of others to wound us; it isthe only way to break through the sin of Adam which has hardened the heart of all humanity against God. It is how He wakes us to our need for Him. Our wounding is used by God to help us realize that despite our armor, we cannot prevent ourselves from being wounded by others, and we cannot control the outcomes of our lives. We are on a journey of surrender to God’s control over our lives. God wounds us and inflicts pain. We either turn to Him and learn to rest in Him, or we turn from Him and give ourselves to the ME, to the world, to the spiritual forces of wickedness, or to some twisted semblance of Him in the form of idolatrous religion ruled by the Woman whoRides the Beast.

In EP18 we discuss the Judgment of God from Yahweh’s perspective verses that of Eliphaz. We will learn that it is a privilege and a blessing to fall under the judgment of God, for it is how He makes us His own. In fact, we are instructed to arm ourselves with this purpose because he who has been suffering in the flesh has chosen to cease from sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. How blessed is a man who now perseveres under trial; for once he has chosen to being approved, he will in the future choose to receive the crown of life which the Lord chose to promise those who are now loving Him.

We will examine Eliphaz’s experience with a demonic spirit who deceived him with contorted truth, which then became the basis for Eliphaz’s if/then religion. The demon projected his own bitterness over the fact that fallen angels are not given a second chance, yet God seems to have unlimited mercy for humanity. The demon left Eliphaz with the idea that no man can stand clean before God; after all, if the angels can’t then man, who is beneath their glory, cannot.

We discuss the accusations made by Eliphaz against Job, which leads us to the question, “do we really reap what we sow?” That is Eliphaz’s basic argument; Job was getting his due comeuppance. There is so much more to the answer than is traditionally taught and it is found in the difference between the fruit of the flesh that is naturally produced from our lives when we sow to the flesh and the fruit that is supernaturally produced from our lives when we sow to the Spirit.

We will finish Job 3, which is all an expression of Job’s grief and agony as he attached his emotional reality to his physical reality. Suffering abounds.

Is it possible for us to live anxious for nothing, such that fear does not dominate and define our lives? Living afraid and living anxious can only be remedied when we are willing to go to the source and let God cause us to stand in faith, confident that He is our only source for hope, security, protection, provision, guidance, assurance, comfort and so on.

We are introduced to the boys, Job’s best buds: Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar. This began the time when Job felt free to vent his frustration with his life (which we will find out is something the boys did not like) We will also be addressing some interesting elements associated with those who love darkness and are notafraid to waken the Leviathan. We will also do a dive into the spiritual forces connected to death and to Sheol.

We are told that in all this Job did not sin with his lips even though Jesus would say that Job’s words would have been enough to drag him before the Heavenly Assembly. But the issue of sin is not what we have been told. God relates to sin differently than man does, especially those within the religion of Christianity. The true issue of sin is about relationship, not knowing our God by His name, not experiencing intimacy withHim.

Can God, who sits outside of time, be persuaded or have his mind changed? Our God loves to deal with His creation through within time, and interact with us in our space, and our choices, to accomplish His purposes in our lives, working with and through our free will. Still, Yahweh operates according to His Plan-A, which is rooted in relationship and a desire for intimacy, a passion to share Himself with those who are willing to let theSpirit of God cause them to call on His name.

We will explore how the heavenly realms work in terms of the Satan being the accuser and how he brings accusation against those in the household of God. It is an interesting process that is best to be understood through the reasons the Father allows this to occur. Yes, the Satan wants to wreck people, but God wants to give people the opportunity to understand WHY they should choose Him and HOW to choose Him.

For the person who is the target of these heavenly realmexchanges, it all seems terrible, feels like punishment for doing wrong, or just flat out unjust and undeserving. And the devil sure makes such accusations against us and against God. But the Father is working and all He does is purposeful.

After the first encounter in the Heavenly Courtroom, the Satan was granted permission to afflict Job and the first round of “hell” was unleashed against Job. In that judgment, the Satan wreaked chaos as Job’s kids were killed, his servants werekilled, his possessions stolen, all in a moment in time, one-after-another. Yet, in all this Job did not charge God or accuse God foolishly.

The Satan targets people, collects intel, and then shows up at the Great Assembly ready to make accusation before Yahweh against his targets. Yahweh initiates and offers up the challenge over Job’s life. The Satan was ready and sought permission to come against Job to prove that he would, if the hedge of protection was removed from his life, curse God to his face. Yahweh gave the Satan permission to go after Job, if he did not touch Job’s life. And as a good obedient servant who only can do what His Master directs, the Satan ascribed all the terror and trauma that would happen to Yahweh and Yahweh alone.

We explore the Great Assembly of God and how the sons of Gods, even the Satan, present themselves before their master Yahweh Sabaoth, the Lord of heaven’s armies. Yes, even the evilspirits of wickedness, the Satan himself, comes before Yahweh Sabaoth to address the affairs of mankind.

We dive into the spiritual word play where words like blesscan mean curse, and sinned can mean to make atonement, or to mediate on behalf of a sin. This spiritual inversion of words is tied to Job’s family and how his sons’ hearts were tinkering on apostasy. And all this is to bring Job’s own tinkering with apostasy to the surface, which is why a mediator is required, one who would bring atonement for sin.

There is a hidden message, a Code, underlying the animals, the type of animals and the number which tell the overall message of Job. This leads to the typology of sacrifice such that sacrifice is the answer. There is an inversion of authority in the household – borderline apostasy – and sacrifices for each individual isthe answer.

In Job 1:1-3 we get the background on Job himself, and we beginexploring the entire narrative through the Spirit’s idiomatic use of numbers and animals. In other words, the numbers and animals are a secret code conveying the message of the entire story.

By means of suffering Yahweh rescues those who suffer. For He gets their attention through adversity. God will allow us to endure great suffering at the hands of the enemy, to give us the opportunity to learn, if we choose, if we are willing, how living for the Kingdom of God is a far better decision than living for the “Me,” or for the Kingdom of this World.

And to be bathed in the hope needed to endure our testing, to wait patiently, and with bold confidence, is something that could only be accomplished if we are willing to bet our life on His name, Yahweh.

After our long journey though the book of Revelation, and then addressing a few kick butt answers to listener questions, we are venturing into a new series entitled, “Yahweh according to Job – The Warning”

Job forces us to face all our own presuppositionsabout God, about our relationship to God, about the spiritual realms, about good, bad, right, wrong, righteousness, sin, justice, punishment, and so on.

Here now is wisdom. He who is now having understanding has been commanded to calculate the number of the beast, for it now is man’s number; and his number, six hundred andsixty-six. Let's calculate!

In this weeks episode of Kick Butt Answers to Listener Questions, we will address a hot topic, and that is the infamous Mark of the Beast. Beware, this is not for the faint of heart (just joking)

Let's Explore this terrifying Parable of the Ten Virgins.

We are addressing what Yahweh says about Himself and thosein His household not neglecting the parts of His character and nature that do not fit the modern fictions that have been told about Him. Yes, God is agape love, and He is full of mercy and in that mercy, He extends His grace to all, especially to those in His household. But His grace is an extension of His identity as the I AM—the provider of all we need all the time.

Those who come to Him must receive Him for who He is, theultimate source of all. And this is the very reason that the source matters, the source is everything! Those who are bent on doing things for themselves simply do not know Him as theI AM.

We address who God is, what He wants, and what He will do to get what He wants. After all, what He says and what He doesgives us understanding about who He is. We journeyed through the Old Testament and now we are traversing the New Testament to discover exactly what He says and what He does in the context of His own people. His jealous love knows few bounds, if any, and it is important that we no longer ignore or dismiss this aspect of Yahweh Qanna, Yahweh who is jealous.

The Addendum. In our last podcast, we talked about who God is, what He wants, and what He will do to get what He wants. After all, what He says and what He does gives us understanding about who He is. We then began a journey through the Codex to discover exactly what He says and what He does in the context of His own people. His jealous love knows few bounds, if any, and it is important that we no longer ignore or dismiss this aspect of Yahweh Qanna, Yahweh who is jealous.

We have been addressing who God is, what He wants, and what He will do to get what He wants, for what He says and what He does gives us understanding about who He is. To do this we have been journeying through the Codex to discover exactly what He says and what He does in thecontext of His own people. His jealous love knows few bounds, if any, and it is important that we no longer ignore or dismiss this aspect of Yahweh Qanna, Yahweh who is jealous.

And for those who make a separation between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament, we will now begin to go through the New Testament. And please keep in mind, Malachi 3:6, “For I Yahweh do not change” and Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever!”

We are still in the Addendum to Revelation. We have been going through the Codex to discover exactly what He saysand what He does in the context of His own people. His jealous love knows few bounds, if any, and it is important that we no longer ignore or dismiss this aspect of Yahweh Qanna,Yahweh who is jealous. After all, what He says and what He does gives us understanding about who He is and who we are to Him.

Jesus gives His final testimony: "Yes, I choose to now come quickly." He chooses to invade our now giving us the opportunity to come to know Him better and to understand WHY we can trust ourselves to Him and HOW to trust ourselves to Him. He is the one who gives grace to all, not just to some, but to all, for He is the Adonai, the only Lord God. By His grace, He provides us everything that we need for life and godliness. He is the source, and the source matters the source is everything! Amen.

The famous cry “come Lord Jesus,” provides multiplecommands directed at Jesus and directed at those who are now hearing, now thirsting, and now willing. This cry is an invitation for Jesus to come and invade our now, and do what is necessary in our now, to secure those who are Called and Chosen and Faithful such that they become identified as the bride of Christ. Jesus says that He chooses to now come quickly, and He in turn then commands the one who is now thirsting and now willing to come to Him and He will come to them.

Jesus is the bright morning star, the light that pierces throughour darkness. Lucifer was created as an imager of Jesus, as a picture of the one who is the Bright Morning Star. But Lucifer corrupted his ways and was overcome by pride, so God cast him down as an abhorred branch, and filled him with the fire that fuels the “hamas” or the violence in his heart. Lucifer’s mistake was that he believed that through the work of his hands, he could be like the Most High.

Jesus is the root the promised descendent of David, the “Branch,” the Nazarene. In contrast, Lucifer is an abhorred and discarded branch; he is not the Nazarene, the Branch. There can be only One Jesus of Nazareth, the king of the Jews. The Beast will pretend to be the Messiah, but he is of a different kind and his father is the devil.

The right to access the tree of life and the right to enter the city, is obtained by continually washing our robes white in the blood of the Lamb, by continually betting our lives on the fact that Only God is Good, for He is our Yahweh Tsidkenu.

There are those who are not permitted access to the city, the dogs (those who bite and devour one another), the sorcerers (those who use drugs to connect to the other side), the immoral (those whose very existence is identified by sexuality), and those who practice the lie (those in the household of God who know the truth, but do not live the truth).

Jesus clarifies that the entire revelation was given for His bondservants and delivered to the churches. But His target audience is the bondservants, those who become His bride.

Alpha & Omega are nouns that declare what He is. He is eternal, outside of time, and all of time is held in His sovereign hands. Beginning & End are nouns that indicate nothing occurs that He did not initiate, nothing closes that He does not close, and the journey is a result of His sovereign hand. The First & Last are adjectives that describe Him as the one who brings to fruition everything He has ever said or promised.

There is this requirement, in the now, to be washing our robes. Blessed if we do. It is an ongoing requirement, rendered in the present active participle. Bondservants have white robes. They washed them white in the blood of the lamb but our journey in this world requires ongoing washing to have the right to the tree of life and the right to enter the holy city though the gates.

He that is now doing wrong, is commanded to do wrong still; and the one who is now being filthy, is commanded to be filthy still; and the righteous, is commanded to be caused to be righteous still; and the holy one, is commanded to be caused to be holy still. Lifestyle choices are honored by God. For those willing, He will cause them to be righteous and holy.

Jesus returns with His bride. Where He is, there she will alwaysbe. He gathered the faithful who were believing prior to His coming, and He will gather all the faithful who are now believing at the rapture, bringing many sons to glory.

There will be payback for He will render to every manaccording to what he now does.
