This week the guys dive into the fantastic fantasy world of Jim Henson, George Lucas and David Bowie with the 1986 classic, Labyrinth. The story of Sarah, who wishes her baby brother to be taken to the Goblin City by,  Jareth, The Goblin King. But when he does, she of course wants her brother back, but to get him back she must travel to the magical labyrinth and fight her way to the center to the castle and face Jareth herself. Throw in some fairies, trolls, goblins, dwarves, talking statues, creepy hands,  David Bowie music and his child scaring crotch. It's one great movie! This week the guys are joined by Elizabeth from Comic Issues! They all got together to watch the 1985 fantasy flick, Legend. Yes, the the one with Tom Cruise as a woodlen man who fights Tim Curry in all his glory as Darkness, the embodiment of all evil and why there is so much glitter in fantasy films.  The group also discusses the Ant-Man drama over at Marvel. This week the guys decided to once more go where no one has gone before. They travel back to the world of Star Trek, this time re-visiting Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, or as it is most commonly known as "the one with the whales". The crew of the Enterprise must travel back to 1986 and find some humpback whales and return them to their time because of an alien probe is looking for them. Thus the crew out of time comedy ensues. Download and listen in as the guys try to understand how "time warp" works and discuss if they were to be brought to the future what would they do. Just another day at the office for them.

This week the guys dive deep into the world of the South Korean/American film known as Snowpiercer. In the distant future the world has been thrown into a ice age and the only remaining humans ride in a train that never stops as it goes around the whole world. The front end is the super rich and powerful, the back end the poor and the weak. The backend has had enough and is going to fight their way to the front and change the way things are. They'll stop at nothing to get there no matter the cost. It's a rich movie that really explores how far you would go to survive. We watched Sixteen Candles, a simple story about Sam (Molly Ringwald), whose entire family forgets her 16th birthday because her older sister is getting married the next day. Next thing we know, we're following Sam for the next 24 hours, bringing us a debaucherous party with a drunk Asian foreign exchange student, giving her panties to the king of the nerds, and falling for the crush of her dreams. This week the guys go back to school with Robert Rodríguez's 1998s sci-fi horror flick, The Faculty. The teenage version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers mixed with some of The Thing. What we get is a rather fun creature feature with tons and tons of actors who have gone on to become huge stars. Over all a pretty fun flick. The guys also talk Star Wars and more dumping on WB and their "plan" for DC Comic films. Just another average week.

This week the crew gets down and dirty and goes on adventure with the 2015 fantasy flick, Seventh Son. The movie where Julianne Moore plays the queen of evil witches, who escapes the pit she was imprisoned in by professional monster hunter, Jeff Bridges, decades ago. He must hunt her down and destroy her before she turns the world into darkness. He recruits young Tom, the seventh son of the seventh son, to help him. Yea.... it's one of those. Fun special effects, decent plot and interesting characters, but was a huge flop. Sometimes it can't be helped. But please download and enjoy!!

So this weekend Batman v Superman finally opens after two years in the making. If you go and find yourself disappointed for whatever reasons at least you can come home and watch this 1998 direct to video movie: The Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest, the first meeting of The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel in the animated world, and I'm sure it's still a better watch than the movie you saw this weekend. As the guys still continue down the Halloween theme road, this week they watched one of the all time funnest and best movies ever made: Mel Brooks' 1974 masterpiece: Young Frankenstein! The classic flick where Gene Wilder is the great-grandson of the original creator of the Monster, who travels to Transylvania and thus the best comedy movie ever begins. As he heals he becomes entrenched in a conflict that pits the townsfolk against the evil Master Ho, his nefarious Beetle Clan, and the terrifying Lord Pi. Thus a battle of good and evil begins. This week Leland is once again in LA and gathered two of his best buddies to watch one of the worst movies ever made. 2004s The Stepford Wives. Frank Oz directs Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick, Bette Midler, Christopher Walken and Glenn Close in a remake of the 70s horror flick. This remake has no idea what it's trying to be. A horror movie, a comedy or a combo of both. It's literally two movie smashed together into one bad one. Please download and listen to find out how.

Staring Joan Crawford as a woman who beheaded her husband and his mistress 23 years ago, after spending all that time in an asylum she has returned home to try to live life normally, that is until, more beheading begin. Leaving Joan to wonder if she is even more crazier, than she was before. It's all kinds of "drama" from start. So please download and listen all about this really bonkers flick.

For our final movie of the holiday season we watched the great Bill Murray Christmas classic, Scrooged, the Charles Dickens immortal classic A Christmas Carol given a modern, contemporary twist. Murray plays the Scrooge role as a cynical television programming executive. He has found great success and wealth, but only by becoming cold-hearted and cruel, thus three ghost must show him how bad his evil ways can get. You know the movie, we all do! It's still the holiday season and we here at Movie Issues HQ are in full swing. We watched watch a Christmas movie that really doesn't deal with Christmas as the focus, it's more of the backdrop against some other plot. Thus, 1984 horror/comedy Gremlins was picked. Directed by the great Joe Dante and staring Zach Galligan,  Phoebe Cates and introduces the world to the cutest mogwai  ever, Gizmo. The fantasy creature all the kids wanted in the 1980s. So please download, grab some nog and listen in as we enjoy the insanity that is Gremlins.

The Christmas Season has arrived and here at Movie Issues HQ Leland the Grinch and his Elf Helper Spooky are getting into the the spirit with their first movie for the holidays, Jingle All the Way.  The 1996 Christmas "Classic" directed by the same man who brought you The Flintstones and previous podcast alum, Christopher Columbus, that guy who made the first two Harry Potter films.  These two cinematic "geniuses" joined forces to tell another tired tale of workaholic dad who learns that family is truly the greatest gift.  Listen in as Leland and Spooky complain about the inconsistent tone of the movie, how working dads get a bad rap, and all the other biggest movie news that's dropped since last week!

IT'S HALLOWEEN!!! YAY!!! In that great honor as we celebrate All Hallows Eve and we watched 1981s Halloween II, more from the night HE came home! Laurie has been saved from the evil force that is Michael Myers, but little does she know he lived, and he's followed her to the hospital she is recovering at. There he stalkers her and kills anyone in his path. Just another standard Halloween night for our buddy Michael. We also get down and dirty as we discuss the giant news Marvel unleashed this week. It's a good old fashion episode with more of our shenanigans as we celebrate the best holiday of the year.
