Ep. 115 An AirPod Stuck WHERE & Shaving Nightmares!
Get ready for another laugh-out-loud ride with Danny, James, and Jake! We are back in the studio for Episode 115, and things are getting dangerously spicy and incredibly embarrassing. Rachel is away this week, making it a proper boys' night in the studio—complete with a few drinks and plenty of unfiltered chaos.
First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake reveals a mind-bending new digital trend out of South Korea called "dopamine sites". We take a look at an app called "Food Never Comes," a totally fake delivery interface designed to curb midnight doom spending. It allows users to go through the entire process of ordering a massive £45 takeaway to get a psychological checkout rush without spending a single penny. The boys debate whether the ultimate satisfaction comes from clicking the buy button or the crushing reality of an empty doorstep.
In "Confessionals," James holds down the fort with two of the most physically shocking and layout-altering stories we've ever had on the pod.
- A listener working out commando on a gym Stairmaster frantically tries to catch a falling wireless AirPod, only for it to fall down her tight compression leggings and get completely vacuum-suctioned into her love canal. To make matters worse, Danny's laugh from a previous episode starts loudly echoing out of her own pelvis.
- A husband trimming his 8-month pregnant wife's "Amazon jungle" bits gets peed on when she suddenly sneezes, shortly before her water completely bursts directly onto his face and chest, forcing a frantic race to the hospital that leaves her with a permanently lopsided bush.
-
Even though Rachel is missing from the studio, she sends in a surprise voice note to handpick a burning question from "Rachel's Furry Purse": have you ever tasted your own sweat? James details the grim reality of swallowing opponent's sweat from his boxing days, Danny shares his memories of dripping under intense theater stage lights, and Jake confesses to a horrifying photo booth incident where he accidentally licked a drenched friend's cheek at a wedding.
Danny dives into the biological gutter for "What the FAQ?" to settle a massive historical mystery: where do colors come from? He breaks down the mind-bending 1969 study proving that every global civilization unlocked color words in the exact same chronological order, explains why the ancient Greeks literally thought the sky was a "wine-dark" red because the word for blue didn't exist yet, and uncovers how the color orange didn't get its name until the fruit arrived from Asia in the 1500s.
Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. This week we add "Sweat" by Melanie C, the sultry single "I'm Your Girl, Right?" by Swedish pop star Tove Lo, and the ultimate summer indie classic "Get the Time Back" by MustBeJohn.

Ep. 114 The Exploding Bath Bomb Disaster and The 2026 World Cup Chaos
Get ready for another laugh-out-loud ride with Danny, James, Jake, and Rachel! We are back in the studio for Episode 114, and things are getting dangerously spicy and incredibly embarrassing.First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake breaks down how Scottish football fans have taken over New England during the 2026 World Cup. Instead of causing typical chaos, the Tartan Army has collectively raised and donated nearly £23,000 to local community centers in Rhode Island. From playing bagpipes at 5:30 AM to a hilarious naming misunderstanding outside a Boston store called "Jobby Liquors," the locals are completely fascinated by the friendly invasion. In "Confessionals," James brings the heat with two utterly mortifying stories. • A listener tries to set a romantic mood with a cheap magenta bath bomb from a discount shop, only for an undissolved chunk to spark an aggressive, bubbling chemical reaction inside her anatomy that left her frantically digging it out in sheer panic. • Another listener confesses to a bizarre childhood habit of standing completely still by their bedroom window for days at a time, hoping the neighbors would think their parents commissioned a life-size statue of them to honor a local legend. We reach into "Rachel's Furry Box" to dig out a fantastic question: if you could be reborn in any decade or era, which one would you choose? Jake picks the early 1960s to experience the golden age of 70s music, James splits his vote between 50s America and 80s New York, Rachel highlights the 80s and the Baroque period, while Danny shocks everyone by choosing the 16th-century Tudor period for the historic architecture. In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel investigates the mysterious phenomenon of why men love aggressively explaining complicated DIY tasks that they have absolutely no intention of actually executing. The group reflects on everything from Danny's struggles assembling IKEA furniture to Jake's year-long delay on tiling his bathroom, proving that some would rather spend a fortune on unnecessary tools and forensic narration than simply call a qualified professional.Danny dives into the biological gutter for "What the FAQ?" to ask: why is the planet so deeply and clinically obsessed with football? He breaks down the three massive evolutionary reasons behind the global obsession, explaining the "low bar theory" of financial accessibility, the addictive "neural climax" caused by the scarcity of goals, and our primal human need for socially acceptable tribal warfare. Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. This week we add the 2026 remake of "Dreamer" by Janice Robinson, "All Eyes on You" by St. Lucia, "Cotton" by Long Beach rapper Vince Staples, and "Stupid Love" by Olivia Rodrigo.FOLLOW AND HIT THE BELL NOTIFICATION TO NEVER MISS AN EPISODE!📧 Want to contact us?Mail: mailto:team@meetinthemiddlepod.comInstagram: @podcast.meetinthemiddle🎵 Intro and Outro: Living Kills - The Noise

Ep. 113 The Hidden Male G-Spot & The Missing Fridge Cucumbers
Welcome back to Meet in the Middle with Danny, James, Jake, and Rachel! This week, the crew brings you another round of chaotic Irish and British banter, unfiltered laughs, and wild stories that will make you question everything.
In "Have You Heard?", Jake breaks down a viral dating disaster from China where a 29-year-old man named Mr. Lu went on a blind date, only for the woman to turn up with 23 of her relatives. After the family shamelessly took over four tables and ordered premium king crab, sea cucumber, top-shelf alcohol, and cigarettes, they landed him with a massive £2,500 bill. Find out how he pulled off the ultimate escape, why the family group chat leaked, and the hilarious courtroom verdict that followed.
Things take a dramatic turn in "Confessionals" as James reads two completely unhinged listener submissions. First, a house-sitter looking after a French bulldog accidentally triggers her intimidating regional sales director's smart display speaker, only to uncover a secret voice memo exposing his plot to jump ship to a competitor and corporate-sabotage her entire department. Then, a stressed mother seeks advice after noticing that phallic-shaped vegetables like cucumbers and carrots keep mysteriously disappearing from her fridge and ending up in the kitchen bin thanks to her teenage son.
In "Rachel's Furry Box", Rachel pulls out a deeply personal question for the group: Have you ever used a sex toy on yourself? While Rachel, Danny, and James hold nothing back with their honest, affirmative answers, Jake tries to remain private. This leads the gang to expose Jake's past adult toy gift purchase and reference an embarrassing screenshot of Rachel that James threatens to share.
Next, Rachel takes over for "Boys Catch Yourselves On" to investigate why men are absolutely hopeless at packing holiday suitcases. The boys attempt to defend their last-minute strategies, packing methods like putting socks inside shoes, and skipping boxers under swimming shorts. Plus, the group reveals the weirdest items they've ever traveled with, including Jake's emergency shower laundry paste and James's bizarre packing list containing a plastic snake, a wig, a mask, and a monocle.
In "What the FAQ?", Danny rolls up his sleeves to answer an ultimate bedroom mystery: Do men actually have a G-spot? Breaking down the anatomical facts, Danny explains the science behind the prostate gland, its location a few inches up the "tradesman's entrance," and the cultural standoff surrounding it across the UK and Ireland. He wraps up with some essential biological advice regarding proper preparation, fingernail trimming, and lube.
Finally, the hosts refresh their official Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with their top tunes of the week. Rachel adds the sultry vibes of "I Wanna Be Yours" by Arctic Monkeys, Jake throws it back to 2014 with "Seasons (Waiting on You)" by Future Islands, Danny brings the energy with the electro-pop funk track "Joyride" by Kesha, and James closes it out with the psychedelic 80s classic "This Is the Day" by The The.

Ep. 112 A Ping Pong Ball Stuck WHERE & The Mystery of the White Dog Poo
Get ready for another laugh-out-loud ride with Danny, James, Jake, and Rachel! We are back in the studio for Episode 112, and things are getting dangerously spicy and incredibly embarrassing.
First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake introduces us to the world's most petty public monument. A local councillor in Cork, Ireland, has pitched building the world's smallest statue—a microscopic replica of the exact mosquito that infected Oliver Cromwell with malaria in 1658. We break down the sheer historical banter of treating a bug like an unrecognized national hero just to build a record-holding tourist trap.
In "Confessionals," James brings the heat with two utterly mortifying stories.• A stressed maid of honor tries to clean a tiny scuff off the bride's white satin shoes in the dark hallway, but accidentally grabs a bottle of liquid ultra-dark fake tan instead of micellar water, leaving muddy brown streaks all down the front of a pristine wedding gown.• A harmless game of naked ping pong goes horribly wrong when a wife decides to serve the ball from her vagina, completely underestimating her pelvic floor strength and forcing her to frantically fish it back out while her husband watches in horror.
We reach into "Rachel's Furry Box" to answer a very revealing question: of the people in the room, who would you trade lives with for a day?. The boys give some highly questionable answers about wanting to experience life with female anatomy, while Rachel admits she wants to trade places with James just to experience the repression of being a "Fenian for a day" and attend an Orange March.
In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel tackles the bizarre phenomenon of men pacing during phone calls. The boys defend their autopilot laps around the kitchen island and mysteriously ending up three postcodes away, while Rachel points out that a man on the phone looks like he's negotiating a hostage release, whereas a woman pacing means fresh gossip is being downloaded at dangerous speeds.
Danny dives into the biological gutter for "What the FAQ?" to ask: whatever happened to the iconic white chalky dog poo from the 90s?. He explains how cheap, bone-meal-filled canine diets used to overload dogs with calcium that calcified in the sun, and how modern pet food regulations finally saved our pavements from these fossilized Victorian artifacts.
Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. This week we add "Fire For You" by Cannons, "Toca's Miracle" by Fragma, "Mexico Honey" by Kacey Musgraves, and "Mind's Eye" by Marcello Spooks.

Ep. 111 The Danger of LooksMaxxing & Kink Lying Confessions
Grab a cushion for your hole because Episode 111 of Meet in the Middle is officially off the rails! We kick things off in "Have You Heard?" where Jake takes us down one of the darkest internet rabbit holes yet: LooksMaxxing. Lads on TikTok are going to extreme lengths to get that blocky, Minecraft-character jawline. From aggressively chewing rubber devices that destroy teeth to "hardmaxxing" with DIY bone restructuring (yes, literally tapping their own cheekbones with tools), the boys debate the alpha vs. beta mindset. Rachel reminds everyone that nobody wants to cuddle up to a literal brick in bed, so maybe just work on your chat instead? In "Confessionals," James brings two of the most unhinged stories we’ve ever heard. First, a girl’s ex-military dad thinks a burglar is trapped in her wardrobe due to a loud, aggressive thumping noise. Armed with a heavy-duty Teflon frying pan, he rips the door open and beats her £70 luxury industrial vibrator into absolute atoms. The aftermath? A note left behind saying: "The perimeter is secure. See you Sunday for a roast."Then, we listen to a chaotic voice note about a university hookup gone wrong. After lying about being into "pet play" because the guy was built like a brick shithouse, a girl ends up on all fours in a literal dog leash. When he commands her to bark, her polite "Please!" gets her called a lying b*tch and kicked out of the house—resulting in her stealing his dog collar and taking a late-night trip to McDonald's.For "Rachel's Furry Purse," the gang plays a risky game of truth by pulling out the ultimate awkward question: Do you watch pornography? Cue the immediate fluster! We reminisce about the struggle of downloading a single still image on Windows 98, sneaking a 10-minute preview on Sky TV, and the childhood rite of passage that was finding a discarded, weather-ruined adult magazine hidden in the local woods. Finally, in "Boys Catch Yourself On," Rachel tackles the ultimate lie told by men: "I'm easy." Why do guys claim they don't care what takeaway to order, only to launch a 20-minute rejection tour of every Chinese, pizza, and kebab shop in a 5-mile radius? Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. Ep. 110 A Ghost at Sunday Roast & The 7,000-Yard Glitter Bomb
Get ready for another laugh-out-loud ride with Danny, James, Jake, and Rachel! We are back in the studio for Episode 110, and things are getting wonderfully weird and incredibly embarrassing.First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake explores the ultimate competitive sport: extreme revenge on cheating partners. We break down the legendary 7,000-yard glitter bomb, a brutal digital billboard breakup on the Sheffield Parkway, and a savage $2 million art heist disguised as a divorce settlement. In "Confessionals," James brings the heat with two utterly mortifying stories. • A listener secretly steals a vintage perfume that belonged to her boyfriend's recently deceased nan. When she wears it to a family Sunday roast, the entire room bursts into tears, convinced the nan's ghost is visiting—and now she has to attend a family seance. • A trip to Primark takes a violent turn when a listener tries to open a packet of fruity Mentos, accidentally firing one like a bullet directly into a small child's head.We reach into "Rachel's Furry Box" to answer a tricky question: which podcast host would you trade lives with for a day? The boys give some highly questionable biological answers about wanting to experience a day as a woman, while Rachel admits she wants to trade places with James just to see what it's like on the other side of the Irish border. In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel tackles the bizarre phenomenon of men falling asleep instantly anywhere. The crew debates how men manage to nap fully clothed in jeans, pass out on airport floors, and sleep through anything, while women need absolute silence and a perfect skincare routine just to close their eyes.Danny dives into the biological gutter for "What the FAQ?" to ask: what side of the body is the healthiest to sleep on? He explains why rolling onto your left side stops you from marinating your throat in stomach acid and acts as an anatomical cheat code for a structurally sound morning trip to the toilet. Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. This week we add "Figuring It Out" by Royal Blood, "Black Lilies" by Parov Stelar, "Pretty Lady" by Tash Sultana, and "Weak in the Presence of Beauty" by Alison Moyet.

Ep. 109 Do You Talk To Yourself? Science Says You're a Genius
Get ready for another laugh-out-loud ride with Danny, James, Jake, and Rachel! We are back in the studio for Episode 109, and things are getting wonderfully weird and incredibly embarrassing.
First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake introduces us to a truly bizarre medical phenomenon from Hong Kong. A woman strained so hard on the toilet that she triggered Transient Global Amnesia, completely wiping the last 10 years of her memory for eight hours. We break down the dangers of the "Valsalva maneuver" and why your bathroom breaks should come with a hazard warning.
In "Confessionals," James brings the heat with two utterly mortifying stories.• A listener tries to borrow their boyfriend's expensive charcoal face mask, only to discover after scrubbing it into their pores that it was actually the cremated ashes of his childhood hamster, Barnaby.• A woman fresh out of the bath panics and spends ten minutes aggressively beating what she thinks is a giant spider on her towel, before realizing it was just her own untrimmed pubic hair poking through a hole.
We dive into the biological gutter for "Rachel's Furry Box" to ask: have you ever secretly enjoyed smelling your own fart?. The crew debates the safety of personal scents, the deadly lingering of a "shower fart," and James reveals his sinister trick of asking friends if they "smell popcorn" just as he lets one rip.
In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel tackles the bizarre phenomenon of men forgetting important dates like birthdays and anniversaries. The boys defend their terrible memories by citing spontaneous "panic gifts," while Rachel points out the audacity of men who can remember random football stats from years ago but forget to book an anniversary dinner.
Danny dives into the psychological depths for "What the FAQ?" to ask: is it normal to talk to yourself?. He explains how 96% of adults have an internal monologue, why speaking out loud is actually a sign of high intelligence and emotional regulation, and how "distanced self-talk" can help reduce anxiety.
Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. This week we add "Human Nature" by Michael Jackson, "Pictures of You" by Drugdealer feat. Kate Bollinger, "Love Me Not" by Ravyn Lenae, and "The Mickey Dam" by Damien Dempsey.

Ep. 108 Japan’s Breeding Visa & The Plague Rat
The crew is back for another round of absolute mayhem! We kick things off in "Have You Heard?" where Jake investigates a wild rumor about "breeding visas" in Japan. While that might be fake news, the real story is just as bizarre: the Japanese government is literally subsidizing Tinder Gold and matchmaking apps to fight the loneliness epidemic. Danny is ready to sign up for government-funded Grinder, while James and Rachel feel a bit "pimped out" by the idea of state-sponsored flirting.
In "Confessionals," we hear two of the most skin-crawling stories in podcast history. First, a woman tries to rescue a "hairless kitten" in an alleyway, only to have the vet lock the door and call animal control because she’s been cuddling a mange-ridden city rat all night. Then, a guy tries to be the hero at a steakhouse by performing the Heimlich maneuver on an elderly woman, only to realize she wasn't choking—he just physically launched her 3,000-pound dentures across the restaurant and into an industrial bin.
"Rachel's Furry Box" gets a makeover this week! Danny has officially handed over the reigns (and the ginger hair), and we now have "Rachel's Furry Purse." It's portable, it's blonde, and it’s asking the big questions: Would you want to be famous? Jake wants the protection, Danny wants the red carpet, and James thinks Jake would end up as a Swedish recluse living in a castle with a bunch of cats.
For "Boys Catch Yourself On," Rachel is calling out the "Hard Man" aesthetic. Why do men pose in photos like they’ve just been denied bail or are selling oregano behind a shop? From the shadow boxing in club toilets to the mysterious "gang signs," she wants to know why guys can't just smile for once.
Finally, in "What the FAQ?", Danny is breaking down the anatomy of the fist. Why do our fingers look like a "mismatched boy band" that somehow transforms into a "perfect wall of violence" when you clench them? It’s the science of the scrap, and things get weirdly technical.

Ep. 107 Are Left-Handers Better in Bed? & Bizarre Pig Calling
Get ready for another laugh-out-loud ride with Danny, James, and Jake! We are back in the studio for Episode 107 (missing our girl Rachel this week), and things are getting dangerously spicy and incredibly embarrassing.
First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake introduces us to the European Seagull Screeching Championship. It's a bizarre competitive sport in a Belgian pub where grown adults throw their heads back and aggressively mimic seagulls. We break down the unhinged performances, the nine-year-old UK prodigy known as "Seagull Boy," and somehow also uncover a pig-calling contest in Estonia.
In "Confessionals," James brings the heat with two utterly mortifying stories.
A drunk best man tries to be edgy during his speech with a joke about a lads' holiday in Magaluf, only to accidentally reveal the groom's past infidelity to the bride—prompting her to walk out and him to be escorted off the premises.
A mother lets her autistic son walk to the shops alone to build independence, only to discover he has kidnapped a little person and locked them in the family garage like a stray cat.
In "Rachel's Furry Box," Danny steps in to pull out a delightfully grim question: have you ever eaten anything off the floor? The boys debate the five-second rule, dropping a kebab on a night out, and James shares a horrific story about a friend sucking spilled wine directly off the concrete pavement.
Danny dives into the biological gutter for "What the FAQ?" to ask: why are some people left-handed?. He explains "brain lateralization" and crossed wiring, breaks down the "fighting hypothesis" that makes lefties elite boxers, and reveals a wild study claiming left-handers are significantly more satisfied in the bedroom than right-handers.
Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. This week we add "Things Are Looking Up" by Billy Lockett, "The River" by Daisy Jones & The Six, and "The Spins" by Mac Miller.

Ep. 106 I Exposed Myself to the Brides Granny!
The gang is back and things are getting measurement-heavy! We kick things off in "Have You Heard?" where Jake reveals a London nightclub that’s strictly enforcing a 6ft height requirement for men. Is it a "Land of the Giants" dream or just blatant "Short King" discrimination? James has some very specific ideas about what the requirements for women should be, and let's just say, it involves a tape measure of a different kind.
In "Confessionals," we dive into the most mortifying listener stories yet. From a "Rock the Boat" wedding disaster that left one guest completely exposed to his cousin's 80-year-old grandmother, to a beauty appointment that ended in a "deafening, trumpet-like" explosion of gas. It’s safe to say these listeners won’t be showing their faces (or other parts) in public for a while.
"Rachel's Furry Box" poses a somber yet delicious question: What would be your death row meal? Between 5-course gourmet steaks, Wexford sauce (which James is convinced doesn't exist), and James's plan to stay alive forever by ordering an all-you-can-eat buffet, the debate gets heated. Danny, meanwhile, thinks murderers should stick to bread and water.
For "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel tries to call out the "five-minute" lie men tell before leaving the house. Is it a buffer? Is it a vibe? Or is it just a comforting fiction? The table turns pretty quickly when the boys point out that a woman's 20 minutes is actually a full hour of lip-gloss-induced trauma.
Finally, in "What the FAQ?", Danny digs into the science and superstitions behind the itch. Why does your skin demand you scratch it until you look like you’ve fought a feral cat? Whether it's "pruritus" or just a cheap jumper, we're getting to the bottom of that tingling sensation.

Ep. 105 A Hot Yoga Fart Disaster & The Country That Banned Crocs
Get ready for another laugh-out-loud ride with Danny, James, Jake, and Rachel! We are back in the studio for Episode 105, and things are getting dangerously spicy and incredibly embarrassing.
First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake introduces us to the Republic of Slowjamastan. It's a self-declared micro-nation in the Southern California desert founded by a radio DJ who crowned himself Sultan. We break down their bizarre national laws, which include a strict ban on Crocs, mumble rap, speakerphone in public, and eating string cheese the wrong way.
In "Confessionals," James brings the heat with two utterly mortifying stories.
A guy tries to act macho on a first date by ordering "Thai spicy" noodles, only to rub his eyes with weapon-grade chili oil hands, trip over a table, and end up with the manager pouring full-fat milk directly into his open eyes.
A hot yoga session in a sweltering, dead-silent room turns into a biological hazard when a listener unleashes a fart that sounded like a "heavy wooden chair being dragged across a wet floor," leaving the girl next to him dry-heaving.
In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel tackles the bizarre phenomenon of men packing entire PlayStation consoles for their holidays. The boys defend bringing their gaming setups for a chill night in, while Rachel declares that traveling 2,000 miles to sit indoors and shout at a virtual referee is a massive red flag.
Danny dives into the biological gutter for "What the FAQ?" to ask: why do we cry?. He explains the "globus sensation" (that nervous lump in your throat), breaks down the three types of tears, and reveals that emotional crying is basically your body taking a "stress p*ss out of your face".
Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. This week we add "Step by Step" by Whitney Houston, "Feel the Real" by Fcukers, "Colour" by MNEK feat. Hailee Steinfeld, and "Where You At" by Dublin artist Abbie Coulibaly.

Ep. 104 The Blue Waffle Hoax and Near Death Experiences
Get ready for another wild ride with Danny, James, Jake, and Rachel! We are serving up another round of chaotic laughs and bizarre confessions in Episode 104.
First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake breaks down a new dating trend taking over London called "Date My Mate". Singles are officially ditching the apps and instead pitching their best friends to a pub full of strangers using full-blown PowerPoint presentations. Would you trust your best mate to present your love life on a projector?
In "Confessionals," James reads two stories that will give you absolute second-hand embarrassment.
• A listener brings a guy home for a hookup, only for his very bizarre "skip rat" dirty talk to be broadcast directly to her parents sitting in the car right below her open window.
• Another listener tries to sneakily photograph a floral wreath at an open-casket wake. Unfortunately, their phone's 3-second timer and blinding camera flash go off in the dead silence, leading an aunt to ask if they are "taking a selfie with the corpse".
We reach into "Rachel's Furry Box" for a surprisingly dark question this week: What is your most terrible memory?. We get vulnerable and share some intense life moments, including childhood near-drownings, severe falls down steel steps, and Danny's terrifying experience of being held at knifepoint.
In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel demands to know why men refuse to use umbrellas in torrential rain. Do they think they're in a moody music video, or would they just rather arrive looking like a "wet dog that's lost a custody battle"?
Danny takes on "What the Fact?" to uncover the truth behind "Blue Waffle". He breaks down the infamous 2008 internet hoax that traumatized a generation of teenagers, explaining how a bit of clever Photoshop created a fake STI myth.
Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh tracks. This week we add "POP/STARS" by K/DA featuring Madison Beer, "I Need" by Clark Beckham, "Dance To You All Night" by Oran Murphy, and "Trade Places" by Jack Harlow.

Ep. 103 Have You Ever P*ssed Yourself? & Can You Milk a Pigeon?!
Welcome back to Meet in the Middle! We are bringing the chaotic energy for Season 6, Episode 103 with bizarre confessions, deep chats, and absolute hilarity.First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake brings us Part 2 of the generational aging debate. This time, we look at Millennials and "Millennial Age Dysmorphia"—why do so many millennials still feel like they're 25? We discuss delayed life milestones, the pop culture bubble, and the reality check of getting older. In "Confessionals," James reads two stories that will give you absolute second-hand embarrassment.A listener traumatizes their dying Nan (and the entire silent ICU) by accidentally blasting a very loud, very explicit "Shrek" adult video from their phone.Another listener clogs the toilet at their girlfriend's dad's formal 60th birthday dinner, scoops the "evidence" into a decorative vase to hide it, and watches in horror as the aunt tips it into the sink in front of the whole family. We reach into "Rachel's Furry Box" for a highly personal question: Have you ever pissed yourself? We share our most embarrassing stories of childhood bed-wetting, laughing too hard, and drunken sleep accidents on friends' leather couches. In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel asks a serious question: Are men secretly self-conscious about their bodies? We have an honest, vulnerable discussion about male body dysmorphia, the dread of taking your top off on holiday, extreme crash diets, and the unrealistic pressures of social media.Danny takes on "What the Fact?" to answer a truly bizarre question from his search history: Can you milk a pigeon? Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with some fresh picks. This week we add Toni Braxton's R&B classic "Wasn't Man Enough for Me," the indie-dance vibes of "Jetstream Heart" by Temples, Jessie J's "Living My Best Life," and Wolf Alice's "Don't Delete the Kisses."Grab a drink, have a laugh, and join the chaos!FOLLOW AND HIT THE BELL NOTIFICATION TO NEVER MISS AN EPISODE!📧 Want to contact us?Mail: team@meetinthemiddlepod.comInstagram: @podcast.meetinthemiddle🎵 Intro and Outro: Living Kills - The Noise

Ep. 102 Are Gen Z Aging Faster Than Millennials? & WhatsApp Disasters!
Welcome back to Meet in the Middle!. We're diving into Season 6, Episode 102 with a packed lineup of chaotic laughs and bizarre confessions.
First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake explores the raging online debate: Are Gen Zs aging faster than millennials?. We discuss how growing up fully online with constant social comparison and stress might be raising cortisol levels and breaking down collagen. Plus, we touch on beauty culture trends like preventative Botox and 18-year-olds shaving down their teeth for "Hollywood smiles," while millennials grapple with their own "age dysmorphia".
In "Confessionals," we have some absolute near-death-by-embarrassment stories.
A train ride goes horribly wrong when a friend opens a Safari tab to a very explicit video title.
A listener ends a three-year friendship group in four seconds by accidentally sending a harsh voice note about a friend directly to their 8-person girls' night WhatsApp chat—while sitting two feet away from her!.
But the absolute worst? A hungover listener trying to have some "tactical" private time during a family Sunday roast, only to realize their phone was Bluetooth-casted to the 65-inch living room TV in front of 12 silent relatives.
We dive into "Rachel's Furry Box" to answer a divisive question: How early do you like to get to the airport?. The boys like to play it safe with two or three hours to spare for international flights, while Rachel shares a stressful story of having the "sweats" while barely making her flight out of Gatwick.
In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel investigates why men will replay a single compliment in their heads for years. Jake admits he still remembers a backhanded compliment about weight loss, and the group agrees that men just don't get hyped up with compliments from their friends as often as women do.
Danny takes over "What the Fact?" to explore the biological purpose of farting. Did you know the average person farts 14 to 20 times a day, and most of them happen while you're asleep?. We also learn that only 1% of a fart actually smells (hydrogen sulfide), they are highly flammable, and James is apparently in a "farts only" WhatsApp group where chatting is strictly forbidden.
Finally, we update our Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack," with new picks. This week we add Bebe Rexha and Faithless's "New Religion," Metallica's "Enter Sandman," Boy Throb's "Can't Stop the Throb," and Aaron Rowe's "Please Don't Hate Me".
Grab a drink, have a laugh, and join the chaos!

Ep. 101 Exposing What Men Actually Want (And It's Not What You Think) | Season 6 Premiere!
Welcome back to Meet in the Middle! 🎉 We're kicking off Season 6 with Episode 101, and it's great to be back in the studio!
This week, we've got a jam-packed episode full of bizarre stories, hilarious confessions, and a brand new segment.
First up in "Have You Heard?", Jake tells a wild story about a Tinder date that went horribly wrong. Imagine picking up your date, driving to the bank, and suddenly finding yourself as the getaway driver for an armed robbery! Yes, this actually happened in Massachusetts in 2016. It's a real-life GTA moment that will make you rethink your next swipe right.
In "Confessionals," we hear from a listener who got the ultimate revenge on a terrible boss, and another who had a very unfortunate (and painful!) encounter with a wine bottle and a face scrubber in a hotel room. Danny also shares a hilarious story about a holiday cleaner and a "borrowed" lady shave.
Then, we introduce "Rachel's Furry Box"! (Don't worry, it's a box full of questions, not what you're thinking! ) This week, we debate which one song we could listen to for the rest of our lives.
In "Boys Catch Yourselves On," Rachel investigates a surprising phenomenon: why do men secretly love being the "little spoon"? The guys weigh in on the comfort of being cradled and the politics of bedtime cuddling.
Finally, Danny revamps "What the Fact?" This week, he decodes the viral TikTok trend of commenting "6767" and explains the confusing world of "post-ironic humor" and "brain rot."
Plus, we're launching our official Spotify playlist, "The Middlers Soundtrack"! We each pick a new song to add this week, featuring tracks from Evanescence, Chris Lake, Joy Division, and Matt Terry.
Grab a drink, have a laugh, and join the chaos!

Ep. 99. Primitive Jungle Building, Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking & Scottish Vampires
It’s episode 99 and you can have this one with a flake because it’s juicy, jam-packed and guaranteed to keep you laughing from start to finish. Jake kicks things off with Have You Heard and introduces us to Jenny the Scottish Vampire, a sentence we still don’t fully understand but absolutely had opinions on, A very well-attended matchmaking festival in Lisdoonvarna, County Clare in Ireland…which if you didn’t know actually has its very own theme song by Christy Moore!
Rachel is back with Boys Catch Yourselves On and this time she’s asking the real question: why do men watch endless videos of other men building huts in forests with swimming pools? Danny follows with another What the FAQ and drops the word “fanny blower” on us, which honestly raised more questions than it answered. Then it’s quiz time as Rachel’s Pendulous Riddles makes its return before James closes us out with your Confessionals, including one listener’s truly disgusting revenge involving a fart and a pillow. We’re so sorry in advance.

Ep. 93 LIVE on Twitch: Roasting, Robots & Regret
The gang jumps into their first ever live Twitch episode, giving you the unfiltered, unedited madness that usually gets chopped out. Late entrances, tech meltdowns and Danny turning up dressed like a colour-coordinated icon.
In Have You Heard, Jake reveals a £20k home robot that looks like an Apple-approved Teletubby and sends the whole chat into meltdown about privacy, stairs and whether it secretly moonlights as a sex bot.
Danny rolls into What the FAQ with the live viewers chiming in, before Rachel unleashes a fiery Boys Catch Yourselves On, dragging the lads for coat denial, DIY disasters and refusing to watch anything new ever.
Then it’s straight into the Quiz with Twitch helping (and roasting) and finally we wrap with Confessionals, where the chat delivers some absolute gems — from wardrobe mishaps to dating disasters — all landing live on air.

Ep. 92 Anniversary Special: Two Years Deep and Still Unfiltered!
Two years in and the gang are somehow still standing as James absolutely butchers the intro, everyone argues over who’s actually turned up for the most episodes and they realise the 100th isn’t far off. Jake kicks off Have You Heard with Tom Brady cloning his dog, sparking a full moral meltdown over science, souls and whether bringing back your pet is sweet or straight-up unsettling.
Rachel then dives into Boys Catch Yourselves On and drags men who use 3-in-1 (and Jake’s cursed 5-in-1) shower gel, while Danny backs her up and James pretends he hasn’t packed a multipurpose bottle on trips. From there Danny’s What the FAQ unleashes “Malkinroot,” a feral old-school insult for someone who shags like they’re summoning spirits, which slides perfectly into a savage two year anniversary quiz that tests their memory on aliens, Big Brother secrets and Angelica Pickles. Finally James opens Confessionals and it gets properly filthy: a listener caught hiding in a lad’s wardrobe by his mum, a jalapeño pizza incident that set someone’s bits on fire and a bloody birthday hook-up that ended in dry-clean-only sheets.

Ep. 91 Hoodies, Balls & Botox
Back in their cosy home studios, the gang debrief a wild weekend: customs swabs, delayed flights and Danny accidentally sharing a plane with Cheryl Baker and Will Best while everyone else missed the memo. Celebrity Traitors gets a spoiler-heavy recap, Alan Carr’s big win gets surprisingly emotional and Jake wonders if event TV has officially resurrected. In Have You Heard, Jake dives into the cosmetic “arms race” down south with Scrotox for millennials and penis filler for Gen Z, while the others debate smooth bollocks, Coke-can girth and whether anyone is really inspecting balls that closely.
In What the FAQ, Danny serves up the word cacoethes which is sadly not a difficult shite or having two minges stacked like a lasagne. Instead it’s the fancy term for the urge to do something stupid which perfectly explains drunk texts to exes, Zara sprees on Klarna and Jake thinking Hinge would help his mental health. Then Rachel’s Pendulous Riddles make a triumphant return in the Quiz with mirrors, eggs and fire, unhinged buzzers, scoreboard drama and Jake desperately trying to get on the board while James and Danny clean up.
Confessionals go extra spicy with a Twitch special: walking in on three blokes in the kitchen mid “take this dick” then a cruise ship roommate whose sleep-apnoea snore is so violent it gets secretly recorded and weaponised. The gang weigh up petty revenge, shame and actual health risks before wrapping things up and inviting you to join them live on Twitch next time for more unfiltered madness, questionable decisions and deeply unserious life advice.

Ep. 90 LIVE from Belfast!
Jake’s flown from Nottingham to Belfast (probably just for a Tinder match), Rachel’s still recovering from her weekend bender, James has turned up dressed like a homicidal clown, and Danny’s rolled in from Hastings faster than an EasyJet flight — yep, it’s another episode of Meet in the Middle!
This week, Jake takes us on a wild one in Have You Heard? — the story of Karl Bushby, the man who’s literally been walking around the planet for 27 years. No flights. No cars. Just blisters and sheer stubbornness. The gang debate if they could even commit to walking to Tesco every day, never mind across continents.
Then Rachel dives into Boys, Catch Yerselves On! and drags the lads for their abandoned online shopping baskets — turns out men treat their baskets like exes they can’t quite let go of.
Danny resurrects another filthy gem in What the FAQ with the word “QUOZ” — 18th-century slang for someone acting like a total idiot (so, basically, modern Twitter).
The quiz gets fiery — literally — in For Flip Sake thanks to @rockadoodledo Belfast Hot Sauce, before James closes the show with a trio of Confessionals that have us gasping, groaning, and weirdly emotional — from a coffee-stained carpet cover-up to a love confession sent to the wrong girl that somehow ended in marriage.

Ep. 89 HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR
The Halloween Special is here and it’s a full-on disaster from the start. James opens as Freddie Mercury reincarnated, Rachel looks as dead on the outside as she is on the inside, Jake argues about how to say “trick-or-treating” and Danny can’t stop peeling his fake skin off mid-recording. Somewhere in the middle of all that, we talk about our Belfast Meet-up, questionable costumes, and how Jake has never been trick-or-treating in his life.
James kicks off the scares with Dublin’s haunted Kilmainham Gaol, setting the tone for the night. Rachel tries to tell her Crumlin Road Jail story but ends up in a full breakdown over the word “incarceration.” Danny and James LOSE IT and any hope of a serious ghost story dies instantly. Then the team share listener stories from haunted nightclubs, ghost kids running under streetlights in Florida and a few unexplainable UFO sightings over Belfast. Things wrap up with talk of haunted pubs, prison weddings and whether ghosts actually touch people — or just stick around for the craic.
It’s haunted history meets total breakdown. Loud, ridiculous and somehow still one of our funniest episodes yet.

Ep.88 Fudgel, Hoarding & Why Hooters Tried to Fly
This week on Meet in the Middle the crew takes flight with a deep dive into the rise and fall of Hooters Airlines, the short-lived American carrier that tried to combine air travel, entertainment and chicken wings. The hosts unpack how this bizarre concept ever got off the ground, what it says about early 2000s marketing, and how cultural attitudes toward gender and branding have changed since. It’s the kind of nostalgic, eyebrow-raising reflection that only this bunch could turn into pure comedy.
From there, the conversation nosedives into the everyday chaos of modern life — specifically, cable hoarding. Why do so many of us keep drawers full of ancient chargers, mystery cables and dead tech we’ll never use? The group debates whether it’s hoarding, habit or just forward planning disguised as procrastination. There’s plenty of self-awareness, a few confessions and the usual back-and-forth banter that defines British and Irish humor at its best.
Listeners also learn about the forgotten English word fudgel, meaning to pretend to work while doing nothing. Naturally, the hosts take it too far, confessing to their own expert-level fudgeling moments at work and at home. The discussion somehow leads to a mix of cultural commentary, relationship talk, and a brand-new quiz segment called Mix and Match, where logic and laughter collide.
And just when you think it can’t get any wilder, one of the hosts drops a confession involving a mum and daughter that sends the room off the rails. It’s awkward, hilarious, and very Meet in the Middle — the kind of story that’ll make you laugh, cringe, and question your life choices all at once.
Packed with personality, honest stories and proper laughs, this episode blends everything listeners love about Meet in the Middle: unpredictable conversations, sharp humor, relatable confessions and cultural commentary that somehow makes sense by the end. Whether you’re into nostalgia, British-Irish banter, workplace procrastination or outrageous storytelling, this one’s for you.

Ep. 87 Ed Gein, Taco Bell & Puppy Flashes
This week intro kicks off with a wild opening chat that somehow blends serial killer Ed Gein with the inexplicable rise of marble racing on TikTok. It’s unsettling, hilarious, and exactly the kind of nonsense you’ve come to expect.Jake kicks off Have You Heard with the Taco Bell 50km ultra marathon, a race designed for people who enjoy both running and regret. Just as the story gets going, Danny decides to whip out his “puppies,” derailing everything in classic fashion. Danny then takes the mic for What the FAQ, diving into some truly weird body modification scenarios. The chaos ramps up with an Ed Gein quiz, and James finishes strong with confessionals that’ll make you laugh, wince, and question humanity.FOLLOW AND HIT THE BELL NOTIFICATION TO NEVER MISS AN EPISODEWant to contact us?Mail: team@meetinthemiddlepod.comWebsite: www.meetinthemiddlepod.comInstagram: @podcast.meetinthemiddleIntro and Outro: Living Kills - The Noise#ComedyPodcast #MeetInTheMiddle #BritishPodcast #IrishPodcast #PopCulture #TrueCrime #EdGein #MarbleRacing #TacoBellMarathon #BodyModification #TopTenQuiz #FunnyConfessionals #PodcastChaos #UnfilteredHumour #SpotifyPodcasts #ComedyShow #PodcastMoments #JakeJamesDannyRachel #UKPodcast #IrelandPodcast #ViralPodcast

Ep. 86 The Nod Code, Johatsu & Méchante Mysteries
This week on Meet in the Middle the gang decodes the unspoken language of men, the mysterious nod code, and how it stacks up against women’s more direct social cues. What starts as a chat about everyday interactions quickly unravels into confessions, laughter and one of the most disgusting confessions in podcast history. You’ve been warned.
From Johatsu, Japan’s real-life disappearing act, to the cultural roots of méchante and what it reveals about female sexuality, the conversation flips between smart social insights and absolute madness. The crew takes on burnout, shame, the urge to vanish from your digital footprint and still finds time for celebrity gossip, music games and some seriously questionable storytelling.
It’s raw, hilarious and very human, a perfect mix of culture, confession and cringe you won’t want to miss.

We dive into sibling rivalry, the highs and lows of influencer life, gaming and streaming pressure, imposter syndrome, online harassment, brand deals, and why authenticity is the key to surviving the creator economy.
It’s not all heavy, though—we get into childhood trauma, fast food horror stories, random trivia, and a rapid-fire round that proves Squash has as many one-liners as he does followers. This one’s packed with laughs, relatability, and plenty of banter with the MITM crew.

Ep. 83 Shrekking Between The Sheets
This week on Meet in the Middle, Jake kicks us off with a Gen Z dating trend that’s as tragic as it is hilarious — “Shrekking,” where people date someone less attractive hoping they’ll be treated better. Spoiler: it ends in tears and swamp gas. From Fiona fantasies to full-blown Black Mirror vibes, the gang tear this nonsense apart in true chaotic fashion.
Then Rachel’s back with Boys, Catch Yourselves On, asking the age-old question: why are so many men apparently living like feral mattress trolls and refusing to change their bedsheets for months? Expect confessions of raw-dogging mattresses, Pooh Bear sleeping styles, and the kind of hygiene crimes David Attenborough could narrate.
Danny crashes in with What the FAQ and drops the word “Rantallion” — which, yes, is real and means your balls hang lower than your dick. Cue 18th-century slang, tavern roasts, and everyone picturing Squidward’s face.
Finally, James wraps it all up with a birthday quiz all about Rachel, with answers provided by none other than her mum. Chaos doesn’t even cover it.

Ep. 82 Confessions from the Cockpit
This week we take flight—literally. From Carlo Acutis, the world’s first digital saint, to the bloodsucking Irish legend of the Dearg Due that might just ruin your next trip to the pub, this episode packs both bite and blessing. Expect cultural tangents, personal anecdotes and the usual dose of questionable wisdom.
We also dive into the mysteries of male behaviour—like why peeing in bottles is apparently more common than anyone wants to admit—and the awkward realities of bathroom etiquette across genders. Add in revenge stories, pet dramas, and the occasional Dearg Due warning, and you’ve got a classic Meet in the Middle mix: sharp, funny and seriously entertaining.

Ep. 81 BANG! And The Skid Is Gone
Season 5 kicks off with a bang (and a few questionable streams). Jake dives into Have You Heard with the viral tale of a missing Texan mum who resurfaced in the Scottish woods—ditching her kid to play handmaiden in a self-proclaimed tribal kingdom. TikTok rituals, forest robes and surrogate offers straight out of The Handmaid’s Tale—it’s all here.
Rachel launches her brand-new segment Boys Catch Yourselves On by confronting the lads about a grim but apparently universal male pastime: using piss power to blast toilet stains. Turns out, skid-mark sniping is a competitive sport, and James admits to cleaning other people’s sh*t in public loos. Classy. Danny returns with What the FAQ and introduces the word “fubsy,” which somehow leads to banana-shaped penises, curvy compliments, and a Victorian nickname for cats. Only on this podcast could all that make sense.
And to top it all off, Confessionals serve up a festive disaster—because nothing says Christmas like one dodgy decision and a secret you definitely wouldn’t want under the tree.

Ep. 80 Freakier and Filthy Friday
It’s episode 80 and the Freaky Friday Season Finale is officially off the rails. The hosts swap segments and nothing goes to plan. Rachel takes on Have You Heard with a scorcher—literally—as she digs into spontaneous human combustion and the bizarre mystery of the exploding chair. Danny steps into Agony Aunt with listener dilemmas including an unsolicited window sex show, a woman vabbing to attract men, and a virtual reality fling with a very real wife involved.
James drops What the FAQ with the word “cattywampus” and somehow connects it to the Victorian minge. Meanwhile, Jake runs Confessionals and shares stories of an adult DVD smuggled into a church sale and a Facebook group nightmare that went nuclear. High drama, low morals and the kind of oversharing we probably shouldn’t be allowed to broadcast.

Ep. 79 Viral Gran Cancelled Me on TikTok
Join the gang as we crack open a drink to mark the end of Season 4 drawing near and dive into the madness.
In Have You Heard, Jake reports on a wild new dating trend: stealing someone’s lunch at work and using it to stalk them on LinkedIn… Is this cute, creepy, or criminal? Danny thinks it depends on the salad.
Rachel returns with Agony Aunt—but it’s not your usual dilemmas. We’ve got a grandma going viral for ranking her grandchild’s exes, a love poem accidentally sent to the plumber, and a listener whose mum’s gym grind is putting them to shame.
And in What the FAQ, Danny serves up “Gamahoosh,” a very real historical term for… mutual oral sex. Naturally, the gang takes it way too far.
The gang also tease big things coming after the season finale and urge listeners to vote for them in the British Podcast Awards – Listener’s Choice. Don’t forget to get involved!

Ep. 78 Cursed Labubus and Sensual Sourdough
The heatwave’s got us dripping, but that’s not stopping the laughs this week. Jake, Rachel, Danny and James dive into the bizarre world of cursed Labubu collectibles, TikTok conspiracy theories and whether demon dolls are behind this endless heat. Jake’s convinced he’s going to get complaints, but it’s worth it.
Rachel is back with Agony Aunt, helping a listener stuck between choosing art or medicine (and dealing with exes who date your best mate). James brings Confessionals, featuring a listener’s Freudian slip at work that might just be the most toe-curling (and hilarious) confession we’ve had in a while.
Meanwhile, Danny’s What the FAQ delivers a historical fact so weird you’ll never look at your sourdough the same way again. We wrap up with a sweaty For Flip’s Sake with Jake summer quiz—yes, it’s hot, and no, we won’t stop complaining.
Get ready for your weekly dose of British and Irish banter, pop culture rants and the kind of confessions you’ll be texting your mates about.

Ep. 77 Lord Byron’s Sex Scandals & Thong-Wearing Roommate
It’s Jake’s birthday and things go downhill immediately. From tragic country-western fashion choices to farting during a massage, the gang celebrates in the only way they know how.
In Have You Heard, Jake dives into the messy, scandal-stuffed life of Lord Byron: the poet, lover, skull-collector, and original bad boy of British bisexuality. Expect pubic hair trophies, pet bears, and a shockingly inappropriate drinking cup.
Agony Aunt returns with two listener dilemmas that’ll have you screaming. First up: a woman’s Tinder date shows up with his mum, who spoon-feeds him at dinner and expects her to pay for the meal. Then comes a mortifying tale of a sext gone wrong—sent to the wrong man entirely… her boss. Warm regards, indeed.
Confessionals round things off with an unforgettable story about a woman who catches her male flatmate folding laundry while casually wearing her missing red satin thong—and calls it "surprisingly breathable." What would you do? Ban him from the drawer or buy him his own pair?

Ep. 76 Missing in the Bennington Triangle and Confessions You Won’t Believe!
The gang is back with another unfiltered comedy episode packed with hot takes, viral listener confessions and pop culture moments you’ll be quoting all week.
In Have You Heard, Jake uncovers the mystery of America’s Bennington Triangle—a real-life Bermuda Triangle in Vermont where hikers vanish and UFO sightings fuel conspiracy theories. Meanwhile, Agony Aunt Rachel dives into listener dilemmas about a nude cowboy surprise, awkward baby talk in the bedroom and a listener whose spaghetti dinner turned into a choking hazard. Over in Confessions, things get even weirder when a listener admits to spreading toenail clippings all over the bed—and the team’s reactions are priceless.
Danny’s What the FAQ brings you the bizarre Victorian insult quockerwodger for your next argument, while Top 10 Takedown sees the gang battling it out with Irish trivia, quick-fire quips and unexpected knowledge drops. If you love British humour, Irish banter, weird confessions, conspiracy theories and laugh-out-loud podcast moments, this episode is the perfect listen for your commute, cardio or scroll breaks.

Ep. 75 Bringin' Home The Gravy
Episode 75 delivers another hour of unfiltered madness—featuring towel trauma, gravy-covered athletes, and a word that nearly broke Danny.
We kick things off with a discussion on the bizarre world of gravy wrestling, which somehow spirals into stories of awkward encounters, broken boundaries, and what not to wear when answering the door.
In Agony Aunt, the gang dishes out chaotic wisdom to listeners in need—covering friendship fallouts, stale relationships, and a man who may or may not be a walking red flag. It’s heartfelt, unhinged, and occasionally useful.
Then, it’s time for What the FAQ, where Danny introduces the gang to the word lickspittle—a term so vile it causes a group existential crisis. Is it a medieval insult? A fetish? A new Gregg’s meal deal item? Who knows.
And finally, we wrap with a Confessional featuring a listener, a towel, and an unfortunately punctual postman—proving once again that nudity and doorbells should never mix.

Ep. 74 LIVE from Hastings!
Things get messy this week — and not just because it’s 30 degrees and Jake’s legs are out. The whole gang is back in person to celebrate James's birthday, and it doesn’t take long for things to spiral. We’ve got hot takes, hotter armpits and more confessions than a Catholic priest on speed.
In Have You Heard, meet the ex-RAF airman who hit the road with a rescue ferret named Bandit (van life just got weird). Rachel breaks down the scutters in What the FAQ, sending everyone into toilet-based trauma. And in Confessionals, listener stories include a whipped cream HR incident, a suspicious search history, and a woman who proudly poops in the shower like it’s a lifestyle choice.
Plus, it’s the return of Meet in the Middle Mastermind — with Danny smashing musicals, Rachel rewinding to 80s bangers, and James making Drag Race look like a GCSE subject. Who takes the crown? Who forgets Bonnie Tyler? And who nearly sharts from nerves?

Ep. 73 Stumped... Literally!
In Episode 73, the gang is back with another hour of pure chaos-featuring vibrating housemates, funeral flirting and a photo mix-up that’ll haunt you forever.
We kick things off with Have You Heard? where Jake shares the true story of a woman who attended over 200 strangers’ funerals to get the attention of a handsome undertaker. Is it creepy? Is it love? Is it just a free buffet? You decide.
Rachel’s back on advice duty in Agony Aunt, unpacking three absolute disasters: a boyfriend sleep-talking about someone called Vanessa, a lad who sexts himself using the alter ego, and a vibrating drawer that’s getting way too comfortable in other people’s bedrooms.
Then Danny delivers a questionable vocabulary lesson in What the FAQ, introducing the gang to the word “Fardel”—a term that sounds filthy, but sadly isn’t.
Finally, James ends the show with a jaw-dropping Confessional: a lad sends a joke d*ck pic to his mate’s phone, only to find out that the mate’s wife had framed it, thinking it was her son's first photo. Yes. Really.
And big news—next week’s episode is the second-ever in-person recording as all four hosts travel to Danny’s house. Expect carnage.

Ep. 72 Nice Ring...Wrong Hole!
This week on Meet in the Middle, chaos bubbles to the surface. In Have You Heard, Jake dives into the bizarre world of celebrity hygiene as Sydney Sweeney releases limited-edition soap made from her actual bathwater. Naturally, this sparks a debate about influencer branding, candle-based trauma and how many armpits it takes to ruin a bar of soap.
Danny brings What the FAQ, teaching the gang what it means to “groak”—aka loiter for food without asking. Snack stealing, chip hovering and dinner-guest guilt all get dragged into the spotlight.
Over in Agony Aunt, Rachel handles some peak dating disasters including Davier the Liar, a man who faked being French using Google Translate and croissants, and a romantic date that goes off the rails thanks to a missing hamster and one very unfortunate vomit.
Confessionals delivers chaos on a different level—from a flirtation that ends in a cousin encounter, to a pub quiz fart so loud it echoed off the walls, and a compliment that took an awkward turn when someone mistook a woman’s ring for… well, her bumhole. It’s classic Meet in the Middle carnage—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ep. 71 Great British Skid-off
Jake’s still decoding the messages in his coffee grounds, Danny’s fresh off stage with glitter in every crevice, and James has returned from holiday looking like a microwaved tomato. So naturally, chaos ensues. We kick things off with Have You Heard, where Jake tells the wild true story of a woman who literally learned to fly a helicopter to bust her husband out of prison. Forget Prison Break, this is Love Island: Maximum Security Edition.
Next up, it’s Agony Aunt, and the boys dig into one of the worst date disasters we’ve ever received. One word: skidmark. Another word: therapy. We’re talking Derry lads, dating humiliation, oinking fetishes, and a dog called Jeff who somehow has more followers (and charisma) than his owner. We wrap things up with Danny’s What the FAQ, where we learn the true meaning of “catawaling”—and then close the episode with two utterly vile Confessionals: one about a fart so foul it halted a courtroom, and another involving a family shower, a mystery poo, and one man’s deeply disturbing reaction.

Ep. 70 Sucked Into a Scandal
This week the gang is unhinged in the best way. Rachel’s back with Agony Aunt featuring a man caught getting veryromantic with his Hoover, a lavender-loving mother-in-law who steals the man cave and a Chihuahua called Butch who’s running a full-blown canine dictatorship. Spoiler: someone ends up sleeping on the floor.
Jake leads Have You Heard with the wildest AI-meets-tarot tale ever—a woman in Greece files for divorce after her coffee grounds reveal a cheating husband... thanks to an AI fortune-teller. Confessionals gets messy with disastrous first dates, gym farts and an unexpected wine aerator. Danny returns with What the FAQ where the gang discovers the meaning of “absquatulate” (spoiler: it’s not a pelvic workout). Plus, the “For Flip’s Sake” quiz gets spicy with Girls Aloud, backwards bangers and Eurovision curveballs.

Ep. 69 Culchie Chaos
It’s Episode 69... so naturally things get messy. This week the gang dives into wild conspiracy theories, eerie presidential coincidences and a Titanic prediction that might’ve been ripped straight from a fever dream.
Jake leads Have You Heard down a rabbit hole of Lincoln vs Kennedy, Titanic déjà vu and a suspicious amount of number 7s. Meanwhile, Pope Leo is crowned in Fanta Papa fantasy leagues and Rachel becomes fixated on passive-smoking seagulls.
Over in Agony Aunt, Rachel deals with a love triangle that makes Shakespeare look subtle, a bonus baby bombshell nine years late and one confession involving coconut oil that left everyone speechless. What the FAQ gets suspiciously Irish as Danny uncovers the real meaning of “culchie” and accidentally alienates half of rural Ireland.
Episode 69 lives up to its name with confessions, conspiracies and coconut-fuelled chaos.

Ep. 68 Get To The Growler
It’s the lads’ takeover and chaos is in full swing. With Rachel away, Jake James and birthday boy Danny tackle everything from ghostly encounters in Hartlepool to fantasy football for Popes (yes really). In this week's Have You Heard we explore the bizarre Vatican betting pool known as Fanta Papa, where Italians draft their dream Pope teams like it's Premier League season.
James hosts a spooky edition of Confessionals featuring haunted neighbours, judging pets and one feline witness to a very NSFW bedroom moment. Danny delivers another eyebrow-raising Agony Aunt packed with stolen shirts and shady hookups, while “What the FAQ” uncovers Victorian growleries and the unexpected truth behind bad mood rooms. Plus a ‘90s quiz showdown for the ages and a surprise reference to Pepsi Cola hats. Welcome to your growlery of laughs.
