One of the greatest discoveries that a Christian can have is that we are sheep. That's what Jesus calls us. We are the sheep of HIS pasture. Not cattle. Not horses not oxen or donkeys. What sets sheep apart from all of those other animals? They were designed to carry heavy loads. Sheep were not designed that way. Those are all burden bearing beasts. They can shoulder the extra weight. No one uses sheep as beasts of burden. Except for Satan. He tries to weigh us down with all manner of heaviness. Not Jesus! He said - "My yoke is easy and my burden is light. Isaiah prophesied that God would give us the oil of joy for the spirit of heaviness. For far too long we have been hefting things that we were never designed to carry. It is time to cast our cares on Him knowing that He cares for us. This podcast is a burden lifter. Be encouraged today!

We have all met people that are crusty because they have a mean and sarcastic attitude. Then there are people that are crusty because they have been reduced to acting on their baser impulses and urges instead of rising above them.

There are things in life that absolutely no one is immune from. Sexual temptation is one of them. There are people that are more prone to sexual temptation than others depending on their personality; but this is something that all men and women must deal with in their life. The Bible tells us that lacking wisdom in this area of our life reduces a person to a crust of bread. Great people who have accomplished amazing things with their lives have burned down everything that they worked hard to build for one sinful indiscretion. This should serve as a lesson and a warning to us all.

We all know the scripture that says - "Nothing is impossible with God". Do you and I really believe that? We serve a God of the impossible the improbable and the supernatural. He is Almighty God! As a matter of fact, that is one of His names. God Almighty. This means that for US - With God - nothing will be impossible as well. Yet, we often live our life as if we are limited in our options, abilities and possibilities. The only limitations that a Christian truly lives under are the boundaries of God's holy standard for our lives, His will and our limited imaginations. Many of us are living under self-imposed limits and are held back by the lies that Satan whispers in our ear and we chose to believe. There is incredible freedom when we realize God has called us to a truly wonderful life.

One of the most powerful truths of Christianity is this - There is no Resurrection without the Crucifixion. As we celebrate all that Jesus did by rising from the grave, we must also take a look at the reasons that made His dying necessary. We love the shout of Sunday, but we must also deal with the horrible realties of Friday. Good Friday is only Good because of Jesus obedience to the Father. What happened to Him was far from Good. What He did for us is remarkable. As we celebrate the Resurrection this week may we also reflect on Calvary. On the Sacrifice of Jesus and the incredible love that would compel someone to endure what our Savior did for us.

All of us either have family or have watched families that seem to struggle from generation to generation with certain things. It could be sickness, an addiction, fear, anxiety or just a history of poor decisions. At some point through the power of God, we can say in our generation, NO Further!

There is nothing like the innocence of a child. There is a purity, a wonder and a joy that most adults left behind years ago. It is vital that we understand that God calls us, invites us back into a life of innocence. I remember a phrase I heard long ago. "Innocence Lost." We live in a society that truly has not only lost their innocence but have lost their way. Today's podcast is a call to return to innocence. Innocence is not the same as naiveite. You can understand the realities of life and remain unstained by it. You can help people who have lost their way and not be drug through the mud yourself. You may have walked through things that have changed you; but we can still know peace and joy of the Lord that keeps us pure.

Have you ever felt like a fraud? Like you don't belong? Have you ever wrestled with God about who you are? Have you ever felt like you were not enough? I think all of us have been there at one point or another. It is actually a fundamental battle that all people must come to grips with. Today fraud, specifically identity fraud is rampant. People impersonating others. Pretending to be something or someone that they are not, in order to get things from people they have no business having. People who are honest and who have integrity would never think of doing such a thing. This is why feeling like an imposter in your own life is such a deep routed issue. Jacob struggled with this throughout his life until one key defining moment. There is a moment for all of us, that moment when we really find out who we are. The moment we wrestle with God and decide we will not let go no matter how long it takes and how much it hurts. We know that the pain of change is worth more than the pain of staying the same. Jacob said - "I will not let go until you bless me." This is when God gave him the ultimate identity change. He was never the same. He never walked the same. But it was worth it.

Dangerous times require dangerous men. Men who are dangerous to Satan and dangerous to those who do evil. Men who are dangerous spiritually and naturally. Men who understand that the kingdom of God suffers violence and that violent, forceful men take it by force. Men who are prayer warriors and men who will go to war for their families. Men who are capable of defending their families spiritually and naturally. Men who will stand up in society and speak the truth in love, with tact, intelligently and without backing down or conceding the high ground. There are all sorts of men, with all sorts of abilities and demeanors. Some are physically strong and some are paper pushers. Some are more educated than others and some are much more at home on the construction site. Regardless of your profession, the calluses on your hands, or the degree's that you hold - every Man of God is called to be a dangerous man. This is going to be a fun and thought provoking podcast.

Never despise the day of small beginnings. I absolutely love that verse. Everything that grows starts small in comparison to what it becomes. When I was growing up, I was actually pretty small. I was born early and placed in an incubator for weeks. Many people underestimated me because of my size and because of that I was picked on. In high school that came to an end when I learned an expression - little frame - big pain. I stopped allowing my size to be a liability and used it to my advantage. Short folks have a different perspective and great leverage. Satan loves us to focus on the small things to keep us small. Life keeps us limited because we quite before things even have the opportunity to form. Faith sees the small things and expects them to grow. That becomes the advantage. While most people in life are limited, people of faith trust God through the process of growth and development. They refuse to quit and live life with expectation instead of disappointment.

When you hear the word salty what comes to mind? Many think of a grizzled old sailor with an attitude and a mouth that needs sanctified. The truth is I love salty people. I love people with some vim and vigor. What if I told you that God desires for all of us to be salty? Jesus said that we are to be Salt and Light. I love this. We get to bring flavor to people's lives. We get to be a preservative in a world that is rotten to the core. God never called us to be bland and boring. He has called us to help spice up people's lives. In this podcast we are going to discuss what that looks like in real time. Enjoy!

Sometimes in life things do not go as planned. It is guaranteed that at some point or another, things will come to an end, the best laid plans will fail, people let us down. relationships will drift and heartbreak will happen. It is important how we handle those times. We all know people that we love and respect who have had unspeakable and unexplainable things happen. This podcast looks at these difficult times with humor, honesty and hopefully a great deal of clarity.

The older I get the more I appreciate the idea of finishing well and finishing strong. We give a great deal of emphasis on how to start things, and that is important. Yet, what we are seeing is many people who are having a difficult time completing this race of life well. Both the start and the finish matter. I would say however that finishing well is more important than starting well. No one starts as a champion; they are only a champion after they have completed whatever it was that they started. As Christians we are not concerned with the placement of our ending we are concerned with crossing into heaven having won the race. In this podcast we will discuss what that entail and what that looks like.

I like to keep things Simple. I believe in the simple life. We all like our technology but it seems that the more sophisticated things have gotten the more complicated things have become. Even the things meant to keep life simple and make it easier. I have found that even in Christian and in church circles we have complicated things that Jesus meant to be simple. Have you ever noticed how even the Apostle Paul could take complex spiritual concepts and present them in ways that were easy to understand? In relationships, I absolutely despise pretense. Just be open and honest about things. Listen, I can hang with anyone and their sophisticated, high society shenanigans but I prefer straight, simple and to the point. Direct but not mean. Short, Sweet, meaningful and with clarity. This podcast is about keeping things, everything simple. It is not about a lack of class and decorum it is about keeping it real.

All of us have issues. The truth is I have yet to meet an issue-less person. The Book of Proverbs tells us that we are to guard our heart with all diligence for out of it flow all the issues of life. This means that everything in our life is a heart issue or an issue of the heart. I think of the desperate lady who reached out to Jesus and grabbed hold of the hem of His garment. She had an issue of blood that doctors could not heal. She had spent all of her money trying to solve it, and Nothing. Jesus did. He didn't even touch her. She reached out to Him. Listen, I have issues. What are yours? In this podcast we are going to discuss the issue of our issues.

As Christians we should be setting the bar high in the way we speak, care and have compassion for people. The world has lost their collective mind. People are just not kind, patient and understanding with one another. Unfortunately, many Christians are being pulled into the vortex that seems to be causing people to no longer know how to be civil with one another. I would contend in the strongest terms that Jesus is calling us to live at a much higher level of maturity. There is a term that many are throwing around today - empathy. Empathy is a great word. With great meaning. What our culture calls empathy I call "toxic" empathy". It is good to feel for people; to care for people, but we can do that without agreeing with them when they are wrong or behaving badly. However, it is vital that we look with understanding and caring at why people act and say what they do. On the cross Jesus said - "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". Can you imagine? He was still showing concern for people who were killing Him. That is powerful empathy, civility and compassion. This podcast is a discussion about how we can better respond as Christians in world with growing civil unrest.

There are some people that the world can just not stamp down. People hit by the trials of life the heights of achievement and the people who forget their impact. Leonard Ravenhill was one of those people. This is a little different type of podcast. I want to read something powerful that I ran across and then discuss it. I hope that this podcast is meaningful, impactful and inspiring.

Some of us will be glad to see the back of 2025. See Ya, and don't let the door hit you in the back. I believe that God has good things ahead for all of us in 2026. You know Why? He promises to work all things for the good of those who are in Christ Jesus. I believe in seasons more than the start of something new just because the calendar changes a page. I mean winter always straddles two years, every year. I am thankful that we serve a God who does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Christmas is a wonderful, stressful, glorious, messy time of the year. Is there anything more real than Christmas? The reality of all that Jesus has done for us is remarkable. The reality that life is still going on in the midst of "the most wonderful season of all", is also remarkable. The reason for the season is Jesus. The reason that He needed to come in the first place is because, in our sin, we needed a Savior. This podcast will be thought provoking, encouraging and challenging. One of the most significant men in history is the earthy father of Jesus. We really don't know much about him except the few verses dedicated to the birth of Jesus. We know that he was a just man, a kind man and a hardworking man. We know that he was a thoughtful man and a person of obedience. There is a great deal that we can learn from him. One of the things that sticks out is how tender that he was with Mary after she shared with him that she was expecting a child of the Holy Spirit. Until Gabriel showed up and explained God's plan, he must have been heart broken. The thought of a virgin birth would be a hard pill to swallow in the natural order of things. Yet, he received the supernatural visitation of the angel and dared to be a part of God's plan not only for his life but for all of mankind. This podcast will be an encouragement for the Christmas season and will challenge us towards greater faith as we learn from the life of Joseph.

There is something to be said for being different. As a matter of fact, it is the difference and distinctiveness of the Christians life that sets us apart from everyone and everything else. That difference is a choice. It is a choice to belong to God. To desire to please Him above everyone else. God calls us to be Holy. Not "holier than thou" but Holy unto God. To be Holy Simply means to be set apart for sacred use. Our Holiness does not make us better than other people it is simply a choice to belong to God and to live for Him... Alone. Our life is no longer our own it belongs completely to God. The Bible tells us that without Holiness no one will see God. This tells me that the separation that God is calling for is the "normal" of the Christian life not the anomaly. In this Podcast we will discuss the power of the separated, holy life.

In a society where social media, content and videos are everywhere you would think that we would understand the value of good communication. We are all familiar with the phrase - "Say what you mean and mean what you say". All of us have experienced being misunderstood in a text message because people may see our words, but they can't see our attitude or our heart. All of us with fat fingers have sent a misspelled text or worse yet; auto correct chose the absolutely worst word to insert that completely changed what we intended to say. Good Communication is not only about choosing the correct words but taking the time and energy to connect with people. To adequately explain our position and to intently listen to what OTHERS are saying. At the heart of most marriage issues is that a husband and wife have stopped listening to one another or worse yet just stopped talking with each other. We live in a time where it is vital that we learn the fine art of Good Communication.

No matter how old we get we never stop growing, learning and becoming. This is certainly true in the life of a Christian. Even when we face seasons of setbacks and failure, they become a catalyst of growth and opportunity. None of us are who we were 20 years ago. We are not even who we were five years ago. Our character is still one of godliness and integrity but our skills, capacity, understanding and wisdom have increased. Growth never happens by accident. Growth must be desired, pursued and cultivated. I look forward to our time together as we grow together.

There is a saying going around now that says..."I would rather be known for what I am for than for what I am against." That sounds pretty good. It sounds reasonable. It is meant to help people stay on the positive side of life and not the negative. The truth is much more nuanced. This is a statement to get people to shut up and go along with whatever the popular narrative of the moment is. If I am for something than I am against its opposite. While we should not always be argumentative, we should be standing up for the truth and for what is right. I am for good and not for evil. We believe that there is right and that there is wrong. There is a correct way and there is a wrong way. We know that Jesus is the only way. HE says - "I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE. NO ONE comes to the Father, except through me. This will be a good and eye opening discussion. Let's dive in.

We all know those people. Yes, I said those people. People who lack common sense. They may be high-capacity people. They may be achievers in business and are able to get things done. But they lack common sense and the common touch. They do things that leave us with our mouths open in awe of their lack of situational awareness and basic courtesy. In this podcast we are going to look at how to deal with people like this in a biblical and constructive manner.

We live in a time when people take offence to everything. If you don't see things the way that they do. If you dare to take a Biblical stand or if you burp after eating garlic. People often do and say incredibly hurtful thigs. So, what do you do when offense presents itself to you like a hot pizza when you are starving and on a diet? This podcast is going to look at that and more. Strap in and get ready for a good conversation.

Money. All of us Need it. All of us could use some more of it. The Bible warns us about the love of money being the root of all kinds of evil. This has led many Christians to come to the idea that money itself is evil. Let me assure you that money can be used for good just as much as it can for evil.It's funny. The Bible has a great deal to say about money, yet we become uneasy when it is talked about. Especially when preachers talk about it. Could it be that the way that we think about and use and spend money actually reveals a great deal about what is in our hearts? The Bible actually says that "Money answers all things". In this podcast we are going to take a look at this. This will inspire, challenge and equip us to understand money in a better context.

All of us want to be liked. All of us want people to agree with our way of seeing things. There is a quote that is powerful... Many times, in order to be right with God means that we win the disapproval of people. Are you willing to stand with God if that means people will walk away from you? Approval addiction is just like any other addiction. We can become a slave to the opinions of people. This is such a horrible place to be in life because many people are inconsistent in what they say they believe. This addiction is unsustainable because no two people consistently say and believe the same thing on any number of subjects. Who are you going to agree with? The only approval we need is the opinion of God Himself. In this podcast we are going to cover this and so much more. When you know that God is pleased with you there is no need to go running for another "hit" that feeds the ego.

I am convinced that Christian's should be a cut above everyone else. We are the ones that God has called to represent Him as an ambassador of Heaven.

I would think, if we are going to represent Jesus, then we should do it well. The Bible tells us that people would know that we are Christians by our love, our words, our works and our wisdom.To be tacky means to be lacking in style or good taste. It is to be lacking in good communication skills and good manners with an attitude to match. To be tacky implies something of low or poor quality that is made cheaply not inexpensively. Who hasn't received a tacky gift from someone who put little thought or expense into it?As Christians we are to be thoughtful, kind, bold, truthful and Spirit led. A tacky Christian is cringeworthy to watch in action. They are the opposite of what we are supposed to be in attitude and behavior. In our day of heated opinions and heightened attitudes we need to be at our best. We need to be filled with wisdom and graceful with people. In this podcast we will discuss these things and more.

Faith is at the very heart of the Word of God and the Christian life. I ran across an article that I thought was powerful. Someone who had apologized because of how they had got caught up in some false teaching and apologized for how that incorrect take on faith had actually become a stumbling block to helping people walk by faith instead of strengthening people's faith. This podcast is going to take an honest and open look at what faith is and is not. I pray that this will be healing for many and instructive as well. If you find yourself getting a little flustered by what I am saying. Then it is vital that you examine your own heart and what you believe in light of what the Word of God really says. To move forward in life and to make a difference in the lives of others we have to let go of things that hold us back. Resentment and bitterness are two things that can hold us back like very few other things. They are like 1,000-pound anchors that wind up being a "drag" on every other area of our life. Bitterness is a poison that affects us to the very core, the very root of who we are if we do not get rid of it. In this podcast we are going to look at how we let go of something that has a hold on us and has affected us deeply. Some-thing so weighty that it almost feels wrong to just "release it".

FOMO. The Fear of Missing Out. Have you ever been out to eat. You are sitting there enjoying your favorite meal. You are thinking about the blessings that God has given you because you have the ability to go out to eat. All of a sudden you see the waitress walk by with an amazing looking meal and she sets it down in front of someone and suddenly you feel like your meal isn't all that good anymore? We have all experienced times like this. Even in the midst of all that God has given us and done for us there is this uneasy feeling that somehow, someone else is doing better than we are. Did you know that there is actually a root cause of this? In this podcast we are going to take a look at this somewhat newish term but not so new emotion.

Are you ever just amazed at the choices that people make and the people that they choose to listen to and follow. Throughout the Bible we are given examples of people who walked in deception. As you read the accounts you can see it coming and you may find yourself almost yelling a warning to them about what is sbout to happen. We are warned not to be deceived by false teachers and prophets. We are specifically told that even the very elect, the very mature in spiritual things will walk in deception in the last days. In the most well-known verse about sowing and reaping it starts out with a warning not to be deceived because whatever a person sows, they will reap. This podcast we will discuss how to keep from being deceived and how prevalent that this especially among those who call themselves Christians.

Most Christians have an understanding that we are to fulfill the Great Commission. We are to - Go.... AND make disciples of all people. The greatest way to introduce people to Jesus is to share our testimony...."Here is what Jesus did for me." We call this being a witness. I love to share my faith in Jesus. I am so grateful for all that He has done in my life and for me. God not only calls us to witness we are called to walk in wisdom toward all of those who are outside of the faith. This is a powerful thing. What does that look like? Why is it so important? The truth is that wisdom is a vital component to our witness. The Apostle Paul said - "I have become all things to all men that by all means I might win some.". Today we are going to take a look at this wisdom and how to be a more effective witness.

Do something. Don't just talk about it. Think about it or plan for it. Eventually everyone must step out and Do.... Something! Not just anything; We must do God what God is telling us to do. Step out, Step up and Go.

Have you ever uttered the words - "I don't care"? We all have. At one point or another we can find ourselves in situations where we just don't care anymore. Part of having character is caring about things: Our marriage, other people, how we do our work. There are so many things happening in society at the moment that many people are losing their ability to care about many things. For many people their "Give a Care" is busted. Without Care there is no Character. While we are not to be seeking out the approval of others, we still need to care about how we present ourselves and how we represent the Lord. It is great to be free from becoming the prisoner of people's opinions, yet we are never free to just live and speak however we want. Care is a big part of being compassionate. To really care for people who are in need or who are hurting. Today's podcast is all about how Caring is a huge part of our Character.

Life is filled with awkward moments. A lot of them. You can't avoid them, even if you tried. Jesus was a master at dealing with awkward people, awkward situations and having awkward conversations. Part of being a Christian is growing in our ability to become the master of the awkward conversation. The truth is that most of us would like to avoid them like the plague. No matter how hard you may try you can't avoid them all. These awkward moments give us the ability to be kind, show patience, set boundaries and lean into teachable moments. Are they always fun? No. Can they be very productive? Of course. This podcast will get you thinking, challenge your perception of things and hopefully give you a good laugh or two: or at least make you say - hmmmm.

Have you ever just wanted to slap someone? I mean really give someone a nice whack right in the kisser. You Know you have. That person that just gets on your nerves. The one who has made you so angry that you just want to physically or verbally lash out. Sometimes the best slap back is the sarcastic remark that cuts a person at the point of their ridiculousness. That one person who is so stupid that you just want to give them a nice thump on the forehead to help them "snap out of it". We have all been here. It is a moment when we must decide if we are going to respond in the spirit or risk going to jail. Today's podcast is going to talk about the reality of dealing with our impulses and rising above them to respond to people in a productive and Christ like way.

One of the great joys of the Christian life is knowing that you can speak with God and that He will talk with you. If we are going to live a life of faith, then this is necessary. How do you know that you are hearing from God? How do you know it is not your own imagination? What does it mean when He is silent? We are going to explore these questions together. Buckle up, we are going to dive into these and more on this podcast.

There is this thought that people should never see us in our weaknesses. That people should never see us sweat even when we are doing the heavy lifting of life. There is a lot of wisdom in that. We all admire those who are able to handle problems and stressful situations with dignity, confidence and skill. This is something that we all should aspire too. However, sometimes it is a good thing for people see you dealing with the realities of life and the cost and work that comes with it. There is a balance that we can show in strength and vulnerability.

There are some people in life that are worth learning from. Dietrich Bonhoeffer is one of those people. He was a true hero of WW 2. A champion of people. A lover of God and a truly deep thinker. Books have been written about him. Movies have been made and deservedly so. He was brave, courageous and put action to what he believed. Today we are going to look at a few of his quotes together. They will inspire you, challenge you and cause you to look at your own life.

This year our Nation celebrates its 249th Birthday. I love our country. This is, in my opinion, the greatest nation in the History of the world. I am proud to be an American. Our nation has been blessed because we founded our country on the principles found in the Word of God. Someone said - "If America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great!"Most republics, and America is a constitutional Republic, never make it to the 250 year mark. The reasons are exactly the many challenges that we are facing in our own country today. I believe that there is hope for America! The hope is not in our economics. It is not found in our military strength. Our hope is in Jesus Christ. God has blessed America! My prayer is that God would continue to bless America as we return to Him and His ways!

Studies tell us that a great majority of us are living stressed out. Stress is pressure. It can be self-imposed or inflicted on us by others. Stress is worry, fear, feeling overwhelmed or mental tension. God desires to stretch us to make us stronger and form our character. Stress is built to deform us not to shape us into something good. There is a quote that I found the other day that is really good. - God is not in a hurry, you are. That is why you are stressed, anxious, burnt out and frustrated. Trust God's plan, work in your life and timing. Know this - if you are being stretched by God right now, He is doing a powerful work in you. Don't fight him, resist Him or doubt Him. He is faithful. You are going to come out of this better than you can imagine.

Life is hard. All of us deal with difficulties and trials. All around us negative things are happening. If we are not careful the negative can get inside of us. Negativity has been ingrained into our society. Complaining, gossiping in all of its many forms, can become the normal in our lives if we allow it. Negativity is an itch that wants to be scratched. The insidious thing is that the more you scratch that itch the more it wants attention. Pretty soon all we see and talk about are the negatives when in reality God is moving, and His goodness is abounding in our lives. Let's resist the urge to scratch the negatives and instead let's talk about the good things that are actually happening in abundance in our lives.

Many people are going through life and serving Jesus just going through the motions. Life is much more than that. We were never called to fake it until you make it. We are to live life and serve God, authentically and naturally. Life is not a performance. Ministry is not a performance. There are days when the best we can do is to simply put one foot in front of the other. That is honesty. The longer I serve the Lord in ministry. The more I question what we are doing and why. I am not deconstructing. I think all of us need to take an honest look at ourselves, our ministries and our lives and answer two questions. 1) Does this honor God. 2) What message are we sending to each other and to the unsaved about what matters in the kingdom? I hope this podcast will encourage you, challenge you and make all of us think.

There is a direct correlation between choosing a life of humility and walking in the favor of the Lord. We live in a culture of self-promotion, clicks, likes views. We are conditioned to live for ourselves and not for others. Jesus told His disciples that the one who is the greatest is the one who becomes as the lest, that to be great in God's Kingdom we are to be the servant of ALL. In this weeks podcast we will look at what it is to walk in the favor of God.

There is something to be said about going the distance. There is something to be said about doing some thing for a. long time. This is true of marriage, a job or any worthy endevour. Anyone can do somthing for a little while. There is something admirable about sticking around and sticking it out and seeng something through. To go through the thick and the thin. The good and the bad, the highs and the lows the successes and the failurers. In this podcast we will talk about longevity with an emphasis on the long.

We live in a culture on the go. Always. We don't sit still well or for very long. God created us with a need to be still. As a matter of fact, stillness is one of the ways that we get to know God. Stillness is where we rest. Stillness is where we are able to think and process life. Stillness is where we are able to take in beauty. Do you purposefully take time to be still? I know I sure need to do that more. Just be... with Jesus, alone with our thoughts, in the quiet, in the stillness.

Disappointments are well... disappointing. Delays happen. There are times we are Denied what we really desire and what we think that we deserve. We need to lean to navigate Detours slow things down but they also take us on a route that we would not normally travel. We need to learn how to navigate the four D's that are a fact of life. These four things can really throw us for a loop in life. If we are not careful they become something that stops everything. If we learn from them and navigate them with the help of God they just become part of the Journey. The four D's do not need to become debilitating. They may hurt and frustrate us but they also have the opportunity to make us better.
