Start Messy: How Obedience Unlocks Momentum

Start Messy: How Obedience Unlocks Momentum

How many times have you delayed something because it wasn’t perfect?

In this episode, I share a struggle I’ve faced more times than I’d like to admit — opening the camera, feeling God nudge me to speak, and then telling myself “not yet.”

Not because I didn’t care.
Not because I didn’t feel called.

But because I was chasing perfection.

The truth is, perfection can sound spiritual. It can sound responsible. We tell ourselves we’re “waiting on God’s timing” or “trying to steward it well.” But sometimes perfection is just fear wearing church clothes.

In this episode we talk about:

• Why perfection can keep us stuck longer than failure ever will
• The difference between excellence and delay
• What Proverbs 16:9 teaches about taking steps of faith
• Why Ecclesiastes 11:4 warns against waiting for perfect conditions
• How obedience begins with one imperfect step

You may never feel fully ready for what God has called you to do. If you felt completely capable, it wouldn’t require faith.

God doesn’t establish intentions — He establishes steps.

If you’ve been waiting for perfect timing, perfect clarity, or perfect confidence, this episode is your reminder to start messy and let God refine you along the way.

Take one step today.

DAY 5: Your Words Reveal Everything | 7 Love Day Reset

DAY 5: Your Words Reveal Everything | 7 Love Day Reset

Day 5 — Love Speaks Truth (Without Cruelty)
📖 Ephesians 4:15–32

You can be right… and still be wrong in the way you say it.

In today’s reset, we’re learning how to speak truth without weaponizing it. Ephesians 4 teaches us that love doesn’t avoid truth — but it delivers truth with grace. Our words are meant to build up, not burn down.

In this message, we break down three powerful shifts:
• When truth becomes a weapon
• How your words reveal your heart
• How to speak with restoration as the goal

Reflection Question:
Do I use my words to build… or to burn?

Practice Today:
Send one specific encouraging message to someone — not generic, but intentional.

If this message challenges you, share it with someone who needs it and continue the 7 Day Love Reset journey with us.

DAY 4: Love Forgives | 7 Day Reset

DAY 4: Love Forgives | 7 Day Reset

Day 4 of the Love Reset is about forgiveness—and the freedom that comes when you stop carrying the weight. In Matthew 18:21–35, Jesus tells a powerful story that reveals how mercy changes us and why forgiven people forgive. If you’ve been holding someone emotionally “in debt,” today’s message will help you release the burden, heal your heart, and take one practical step toward freedom: pray blessing over that person for 60 seconds—even if you don’t feel it.

Prayer: “Lord, I release them to You. Heal my heart.”

Day 3: LOVE IS A CHOICE | 7 Day Reset

Day 3: LOVE IS A CHOICE | 7 Day Reset

Day 3 of the 7-Day Love Reset is here — and today we’re getting practical.

We’re reading 1 Corinthians 13:1–13 and learning this truth: love isn’t just a feeling… love is a choice. In this video, we break down what real, biblical love looks like when nobody’s watching—patient, kind, not easily angered, and not keeping a record of wrongs.

In this episode:

  • Why “doing a lot” without love can still be empty (1 Cor. 13:1–3)

  • The real standard of love we’re called to live by (1 Cor. 13:4–7)

  • A simple challenge: pick ONE attribute and practice it for 24 hours

Today’s challenge:
Which line in 1 Corinthians 13 convicts you most right now?
Pick one attribute (patient, kind, forgiving, calm, selfless) and live it out all day.

Comment your ONE word below and commit to it for the next 24 hours.

Read: 1 Corinthians 13:1–13

How to practice it:

If you choose PATIENT:Be quick to listen, slow to speak—James 1:19.Pause before you respond. Let silence do some work.

If you choose KIND:
Ephesians 4:32 says be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving.Do one intentional act of kindness today with no announcement.

If you choose NOT EASILY ANGERED:
Proverbs 15:1 says a gentle answer turns away wrath.Lower your voice. Slow down. Choose gentle.

If you choose NO RECORD OF WRONGS:
Colossians 3:13 says make allowance for each other and forgive.Release the debt. Stop replaying the offense.

If you choose NOT SELF-SEEKING:
Philippians 2:3–4 says don’t just look out for your own interests—consider others.
Ask: “What would serve them right now?”

Day 2: Love Like Jesus | 7 Day Reset

Day 2: Love Like Jesus | 7 Day Reset

Day 2 of the 7-Day Love Reset is all about defining love the way Jesus did—through humble service. In John 13:1–17, 34–35, Jesus doesn’t just talk about love… He picks up a towel and washes His disciples’ feet. This is a picture of what real love looks like: getting low, serving quietly, and loving without needing credit.

In this video, we’ll read the passage together, break down what it means, and then take a practical challenge: do one unnoticed act of service today—no post, no announcement, no spotlight. Just obedience.

Reflection Question: What would “foot-washing” love look like in your life today?
Prayer: “Jesus, make me a servant, not a spotlight.”

If you’re taking the challenge, comment “TOWEL” and I’ll pray for you.

Day 1: Receive God’s Love | 7 Day Reset

Day 1: Receive God’s Love | 7 Day Reset

Day 1 of the 7-Day Reset is all about receiving God’s love personally. In 1 John 4:7–19, we see that love starts with God, He loved us first, and His perfect love drives out fear. In this video, we’ll read the passage together, break it down in a simple way, and end with a practical “love move” where you’ll write a 5-line “God loves me because…” list straight from Scripture—so you can stop striving and start living from overflow.
