Happy almost Halloween!

This month the besties are watching George Romero's Night of the Living Dead. While Jacki has seen this classic many times, it is a first watch for AJ. The same AJ that doesn't like horror movies but is a fantastic bestie and will humor Jacki and watch a zombie movie.

The besties reminisce about the amazing family movie and Robin Williams classic, Jumanji from 1995. They next dive into the reboot... remake... sequel... re-seq-boot? Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle from 2017. Things get heated but the besties agree to disagree, AJ is disappointed by the movie offerings from 2017 and Jacki daydreams about a life she could have had with Colin Hanks.

What's this? It's another Scorsese film with lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio? A history piece about rivalries during a turbulent time in American history? Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of killing your father's murderer? Sign us up!

We're Back!

And no, this isn't that dinosaur movie from 1993. The besties make a triumphant return and watch the much anticipated "sequel" to Knives Out! They are excited to see Daniel Craig in the role of Detective Blanc again and are ready for all of the plot twists and AH HA moments of this new story.

The besties had so much fun comparing an original to a remake last year that they are doing it again. From black and white stop motion animation to Jack Black and CGI, it's King Kong! Come for the history nachos, stay for a classic AJ rant.

You like pasta? You like cowboys? Well there is no pasta but there are plenty of cowboys in this classic spaghetti western. Tune in as AJ and Jacki discuss the brilliance of baby Clint Eastwood and debate if the length of this film is worth it!

Who's ready to feel uncomfortable due to another 90s movie? The Besties are! Listen in as opinions change and trash bags are considered art while Jacki and AJ discover that first impressions of a movie may not be the defining factor.

Happy Belated Friendsgiving! This week AJ gets to share his favorite movie from the Disney Renaissance and is delighted that he gets to discuss how under appreciated The Hunchback of Notre Dame is. Listen in as the besties talk about hellfire!

This month the besties are celebrating Friendsgiving by sharing a childhood favorite with one another. Jacki is up first with the gift, or fever dream as AJ likes to call it, with Return to Oz from 1985. Take a trip with the besties to the darker days of Disney with Wheelers, a talking chicken, and the obvious inspiration to Jack Skellington.

Dun dun.....dun dun.....dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun, BABY SHARK!!!!! Tune in to Shark Day where the besties watch The Meg and try not to get eaten by what lurks deep down in the sea.

This week the besties are going on an adventure! Unfortunately, it involves bratty kids, car trouble, crime, and an annoying friend. Luckily, that all happens to someone else in Adventures in Babysitting!

Jacki super swears she didn't do it on purpose but here we go with another movie starring Kevin Costner. The besties sit down for all 3 plus hours of Oliver Stone's take on the Kennedy assassination: JFK. Lot of conspiracy theories, very few facts, but a whole lot of an amazing movie!

Put down the beer and throw on a trench coat because the besties are watching Kevin Costner in The Untouchables. Once again the history bug bites Jacki as she compares the movie's version of events to the actual events. AJ continues to have dishonor put on his cow because he doesn't know who Al Pacino is.

This week on TLWM they watch a young Jack Nicholson as a private eye in 1974's Chinatown. Happy ending? Nope. Leaves the besties feeling a bit icky? Yup. Tune in to find out why Jacki proclaims "dishonor on your cow" to AJ!

Pew Pew Pew continues in the second installment of SciFi July! The Besties watch Ready Player One and have a great time traveling down this nostalgia trip. What Easter Eggs caught AJ's eyes? How much horror was Jacki able to spot? The answer for both is "SO MUCH"!

Pew Pew Pew It's SciFi July! Our first entry of the month will the Edge of Tomorrow starring Mad-Eye Moody! Oh and also Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. It's all aliens and guns and Groundhog Day with out the comedy of Bill Murray.

Extra! Extra! Listen all about it! The besties are getting a history lesson in one of the most complicated times in American history as they watch All The President's Men. Listen in as Jacki and AJ learn about the difficulties of working at a news paper and doing detective work when no one else will pick up this scandalous story!

The besties are headed to film school this week to watch this Stanley Kubrick classic. Is it visually stunning? Yup. Did they like it? Ehhhh? Tune in to find out if they even understood what was going on.

This episode of TLWM is filled with action and drama! Alright no it isn't much like the movie the besties watch. It's AJ's first Stallone movie and Jacki is back at it with her love of 90s action. Listen in as the two discuss what this flick had, what it lacked, and how it had a missed opportunity of leaving everyone in susp......

THAT'S THE NAME OF THE MOVIE (air horns)

Good evening listeners of TLWM. While Jacki is familiar with many Alfred Hitchcock films, this one has eluded her. And clearly with the spooky reputation Hitchcock's movies have, you know AJ isn't seeking them out... but the besties finally sit down to watch North by Northwest. This classic really has it all: mistaken identity, gaslighting, villainous art collectors, and a suspenseful final act on president's faces.

In this latest installment of HOW DID YOU MISS THIS, BESTIE?! our two hosts watch a memory that takes AJ back to his high school days. Liam Neeson is a stone cold, methodical "preventer" and will do whatever it takes in order to save is daughter's life and the besties could not be happier to watch the carnage that ensues. Listen in as AJ waxes poetic in fond memory while Jacki goes through all the stages of discovering if she liked this movie!

This month we are bringing back: HOW DID YOU MISS THIS, BESTIE?! Jacki is up first showing AJ one of her preteen favorites, Addams Family Values. And since AJ has never seen The Addams Family from 1991, he watched that one as well. Not a bad 2 for 1 if you as me! More dark humor masked in a family movie with "fish out of water" themes and one of the best villain monologues ever. Tune in to see if AJ likes the 90's live action movies as much as the cartoon version we watched last year.

In this week's episode of TLWM, listen in as the besties decide walk the line between liking and disliking a biopic about a country singer.

Jacki learns of AJ's dark past while AJ talks about his younger years singing Shania Twain.

Yeehaw! The besties watch their first western together with 1969's Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. AJ learns that the same guy in this movie also makes really good salad dressing and Jacki presents the gentle reminder that friends don't kiss. 

AJ and Jacki are watching their very first Clint Eastwood movie! Outside of this movie, they pretty much haven't heard of any other movies from this year but they also weren't alive then so can we really blame them? Jacki finds a way to tie in horror movies yet again and AJ decides to rewrite rock n' roll history. 

In this week's episode of TLWM, the besties decide to look within themselves and figure out which emotion is in control of their brains (and the answers may not be what you think)! Tune in as Jacki goes full  hand wave while AJ tries to defend a Disney movie to the best of his ability.

Happy 2023! The besties go in the way, way, way back machine to watch one of the most renowned movies ever made. While AJ had never heard of Humphrey Bogart, Jacki only knew him from Bugs Bunny cartoons. Hear how they go from Casablanca to the candy bars they like and the fruits they don't. 

In this Christmas edition of The List We Missed, listen in as AJ nervously waits to hear Jacki's reaction to one of AJ's favorite Christmas movies! Since AJ and Jacki had already seen the first two installments of the MiB franchise, it makes sense that they share the experience of completing the trilogy together for the show!

Everyone knows that AJ and Jacki are bad at keeping up with popular movies but it doesn't help you when you are making them 3 hours long. What kind of attention span do you think they have?
