Oregon is known as the Wild, Wild West because of its rugged landscapes, untamed wilderness, and a long history of frontier independence. From the early days of pioneers braving the Oregon Trail to the present-day spirit of self-reliance found in rural communities, the state’s reputation for wildness is rooted in both its geography and the people who call it home. But Oregon is also known as a place where bad things can happen—and a region notorious for how easy it can be to hide or bury secrets in its vast wilderness. The sheer size and remoteness of its forests, mountains, and rural areas have made it a setting for both mystery and misdeed. The shady forests of the Santiam Wilderness, where Tammy’s car was found, are infamous for murders that have occurred along Highway 20. Stories of violence and disappearance haunt this stretch of road, adding to the region’s dark reputation.

To be fair, in this arena of speculation and accusation, starting with the spouse is just where any investigation has to begin. It's basic 101 investigating—statistically, the spouse or domestic partner is always the first person of interest. That’s not bias; it’s experience and evidence. But this does not mean we are fixated on one person or that we are ignoring other possibilities.

So this is why—and where—we'll start with Tammy's husband at the time she went missing, Reese Pitkin. His relationship with Tammy, their history, and the circumstances leading up to her disappearance are all crucial to understanding what might have happened. As we move forward, we'll take a closer look at Reese and the role he may have played in this investigation.

Confirmation bias is a type of cognitive bias in which people tend to seek out, interpret, and remember information in ways that confirm their existing beliefs or opinions. This means that individuals are more likely to notice and give weight to evidence that supports their existing views, while ignoring or downplaying evidence that contradicts them.

Confirmation bias in a criminal investigation occurs when investigators, consciously or unconsciously, focus on evidence that supports their initial theory or suspect, while overlooking or dismissing evidence that might contradict it. This can lead to errors in judgment, wrongful convictions, and miscarriages of justice.

Profiling the Timeline:

There are a few key elements in the rest of Tammy’s timeline that we need to bring to the surface. Highlighting these moments will provide deeper insight into her story and help us understand the sequence of events more clearly as we continue.

This episode will primarily serve as an overview of the timeline. We’ll move through key events in sequence, providing a broad understanding of how the story unfolds. Then we will revisit and profile specific moments or periods that warrant deeper exploration, ensuring we spend time on the most significant parts of the timeline.

The timeline helps investigators, search teams, and the public understand the sequence of events, identify critical time windows, and spot inconsistencies or leads. Most missing persons cases are solved by focusing on core theories built from the timeline, which is tested and either eliminated or confirmed as evidence emerges. Each case is unique, and sometimes, the truth is unexpected or a combination of factors.

Today is 3 years marking the very last time Tammy Pitkin was seen alive. The time has come and welcome to the beginning of the Tammy Pitkin Story. Please follow us on our journey for the truth of what happened to Tammy as we bring this back to 3 years ago when she vanished traveling alone with her two dogs from her home town in Red Bluff, CA and completely vanished 400 miles north in Oregon - where she was last seen, and where her car was found abandoned down a desolate forest road off of HWY 20 aka: Murder Hwy.

I want more than anything for Gayna to find her Lisa. And for her family to have her back and the answers they need. Lisa deserves her children to be her legacy not a painful memory.

If we think it’s all too simple so we don’t make more effort and concentrate on the details- something will be overlooked and then mistakes are made. And that’s a problem. Because then the devil stays hidden in all those details.

Lisa Cronin is most likely deceased, and is why we’re going to breakdown this timeline. In these details of her timeline - I’m going to point out where the devil lies in those details - and why Lisa’s Cronin’s disappearance should have been treated like a homicide a very long time ago.

Ed has been an obstacle towards anyone trying to find Lisa Cronin, on purpose.  Blocking our path when search parties tried to look for her in local areas where she was last known to be seen, and not letting cadaver dogs search certain areas of his property. Communication with Ed regarding Lisa's disappearance has been broken since the beginning.  But, my team and I went out to Ed’s after Mike was removed by police this last April. We were there while detectives were doing a search of Mike’s house with Ed’s permission.
