Today I'm talking about my birth story and my pregnancy journey. 

If you are pregnant, if you've struggled with infertility, if you're a parent, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO COMPLAIN how hard it is, how tired you are, etc. All of that is not rainbow and glitter all the time. You're allowed to complain and still love the magic of pregnancy or love your kid: period, end of story.

Wow. I had no intention of recording that episode and leaving everyone in the dark. Obviously, if you follow me on Instagram, you're caught up, but still. I have felt called to get this back up and running, along with the blog that I have neglected too. So here we are, jumping back in. Other episodes will be a bit more in-depth, but I'm trying just to DO and get back into it, even if shit isn't perfect. So here we are!

It's here! I know it feels like it took f*cking forever, but it's here! In this episode, I give you the full rundown on this update, and then I answer questions that you babes sent in regarding IVF. This is definitely one of the longest episodes but some of the questions are so damn involved haha. I hope this answers some questions you may have had.

This episode was requested a few times, and honestly trying to give people this answer when they ask is a LOT. What better than to have an episode to point them to. 

Growing up I was never the person who dreamt of a wedding, it wasn’t until the last relationship that I even really like pictured one. However, I have always had a running list of baby names, because I knew that above all else I was meant to be a mom. Unfortunately with the way we grow up, society likes to pressure us with these timelines. Timelines for college, parenthood, marriage, career. Literally, anything they can try to dictate and also make you feel inadequate if you don’t reach the certain milestones that they think you should. That was definitely something I dealt with for a while. Listen to today's episode for how I got past that, what brought me to this decision, and my wishes for you if you're thinking about parenthood.

I know, I know, a NON-parent giving parenting advice haha. But it’s f*cking valid because I see all the parent shaming that happens these days. I’m going to start this episode by saying, can we stop telling people how to fucking parent their children?! Like for f*cks sake. I am tired of seeing posts on social media, and the comments are judging something the parent is doing.

Also, how I'll be raising my kid, a plea for kindness, and to not be a d*ck.

Yup, she's back! I blame the full moon because all of a sudden I felt called to turn this damn mic on again, and here we are! Just a quick update on the past 2 years! I hadn't even realized that it had been almost exactly 2 years since I last posted.

It's been quite the shit show since I last posted, so this is a quick rundown before we jump back into the swing of things! I say f*ck a lot, sperm, and vagina, so if that's not your thing... :) 

Some updates on what's been going on, why there weren't episodes the past 2 weeks, and a big update for the podcast.

Today I’m talking about that, the fact that super successful women are claiming their independence publicly, and how I feel about that.

Also a few personal realizations and some exciting news!!

There’s this constant conversation around success, how it happens, a supposed road map, etc. I think the conversation is bullsh*t because it’s typically surrounding what that person did to be successful. But here’s the thing, what they did, might not work for you.

I also dive into defining success.

These are my top 5 podcasts that I listen to while I get shit done. Picking a top 5 was really f*cking hard. So I threw in some at the end, without a bunch of explanation about them, just others that I love.

Literally what it says. Today is a quick episode telling you to take the f*cking day off + why you should.

Today I am talking about your followers and following on Instagram. In November people were losing their minds because Instagram was purging people again and suggesting people change their passwords if they had used an app to get followers.

First of all, don’t use apps that promise followers. That’s just as stupid as buying followers. It literally does NOTHING for your account, except make it worse. Your engagement drops because these people aren’t liking your sh*t because they’re fake. Sooo what’s the f*cking point?

Most recently, Facebook started this in groups. Removing people who are inactive, moving people who were invited but never joined to a separate but accessible tab, and getting rid of people who aren’t active in your group at all.

People are freaking out again. I’ve seen multiple posts in groups asking “Where are my group members going?!” “Anyone else losing group members?!?”

That’s what we’re talking about today and it’s colorful, to say the least, haha.

I wanted to do a list of things that I wish I had known before going into business, but then I decided I wanted to also include these answers from babes who are in the trenches with me, across a variety of sectors, but all in business for themselves nonetheless. Everyone has their own experience but there’s always a lot of overlap when it comes to the struggle of owning a business. I agree with all the responses I got, they’re all things I’ve experienced.

I laugh so hard when I say that because I don’t. I don’t deal with it per se.

There will always be someone who doesn’t like the way you speak or look, or talk, or dress, or love, or whatever. That’s their problem, not yours. But I will give you a few ways that I personally deal with it, from personal experience.

That fucking sucks to say out loud, but my overachieving a** set myself up for “failure.”

I didn’t fail though, nor did my business, or anything like that. When you set goals, or at least when I do, I am fucking BUMMED beyond belief if I don’t hit them. This was no different. The only problem was the goals I set were absolutely f*cking ridiculous.

So today we're talking about that, other things to focus on in business, what I’m focusing on in 2019, and more because I don't think people talk enough about their losses, only their wins. I GOTCHU!

People say to do this + use bots but I think is a time waste, and tacky. Using bots to like peoples pictures and/or comment. STOP DOING IT.

You’ve seen them. You get a random message “nice content!” or something stupid like that. There’s a particular company I’ve probably had 100+ run-ins with because they use bots. I report every profile I’ve come across. They absolutely use bots in an attempt to grow their following, get reps, etc.

I don’t find it useful, AT ALL. You can end up liking something or commenting on something that does not align with you or your brand. People have been called out for it.

It’s tacky as f*ck, but I tell you more on why I think that in today’s episode.

Dating when you’re a boss. It’s f*cking tough, let me tell you haha. If you’re anything like me, you’re not willing to settle for just anyone. Period.

One of the toughest things when dating as a boss, is the ability to find someone who will understand this crazy f*cking life you're living. Not only understand it but be willing to support you, cheer you, and deal with your sometimes presence (but partial absence because you’re working on your laptop while you guys watch a movie at home haha).

The life of an entrepreneur is a god damn roller coaster and some people don’t like roller coasters haha. Of course if you’ve somehow got it made, live a life of luxury with passive income, do you boo. But the rest of us, are hustling our a$$es off, weird or long hours, on the weekend, or all day for a few days in a row. Our businesses require work, which requires us haha.

Today’s episode is all about what it’s like dating, why you shouldn’t settle, why I refuse to, and all the other good sh*t when it comes to living this life.

I get the National Day Calendar and I died laughing when I found out that it’s National Stress Awareness Day. Not because it’s not serious, but because I know I’m stressed. I’m aware, I’m stressed, most of the time lol.  So I def don’t need a day reminding me. But even I find ways to destress.

In today’s world small businesses have to compete against big box retailer with access and a f*ck ton of money. How do you do that? Sharing your story, being authentic in your brand, and truly identifying with your customers.

Today I am talking all about how you can do that, how I realized my story, how I shared it, and how you can too to lead to success in business.

An overwhelming theme I’m seeing in Facebook groups is women being scared of the decisions they’re making in business, scared of the direction their business is going, and more. Fear is there and relevant but it’s how you use it that can change things. So we’re talking about fear, how I let it help me in business, and how you can too!

Is working this hard really doing the right thing? Is all of this worth it? 

That’s a hell of a loaded question. I’ve touched on it before that my work ethic and drive are engrained in me, but I’ve made some decisions and sacrifices to personal relationships and more to get to where I am today. I truly truly love the and believe the quote, “Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.”

Not everyone wants the stress level of running your own business, the lack of sleep, the fact that every single tiny thing falls on your shoulders. Nor does everyone want to work 70-80 hours a week. Of course it all depends on your motivation for what you’re doing. How and why you’re motivated is important.

Some people are genuinely just NOT cut out for it. Today I am covering if you should start a business, when it’s a good idea to do so. Today’s episode I am talking about when you need a business coach for your business. How to gauge that it’s time to get some outside eyes and opinion on your business.

I think it’s important to find someone who is in the same or similar realm as your business, that has experience, and is actually successful. There’s a lot of coaches out there who make their money selling courses and while that’s great, I prefer someone who has experience doing what I’m doing.

I go into all that detail and when to know that it’s time to hire a coach.

Let’s talk self-confidence, self-esteem, body issues, etc. and checking our fucks at the door. Today’s episode is more life centered. Confidence absolutely can bleed over into your business but it 100% starts with you.

On Metal Marvels Instagram I posted a morning quote to get people engaged in an honest conversation. It turned out way better than I ever imagined. People were being real and honest with the struggles they were dealing with. From relationship shit, to work problems, to divorce, and an overwhelming about of body issues, weight issues, self-esteem issues, etc.

It hurts my heart to know that so many people still struggle with this, and I know a SHIT TON of people do. At one point or another, we all do.

The most shitty part about it is that had some other source NOT said we were ugly, fat, weird, less than, we wouldn’t fucking feel this way about ourselves. It’s outside sources pointing out your “flaws” and selling you shit to fix them. It’s magazines and advertising showing you only women who are a size two and perfect. It’s millions of diet ads and workout commercials thrown in your face. It’s people telling you that you don’t look the way you should. So I want to talk to you from a place of experience and how you can get to the place of loving your body and being confident AF in it

In Episode 17 I talked about celebrating your wins and being proud of what you accomplish. Today I am talking more about really taking a look back and looking at where you’ve been and what you’ve done. In todays’ world especially, with things moving 400 miles a minute, and just a go go go, hustle mentality, it’s very rare we sit and take that moment to let things digest. Which means is extra rare that we look back.

So today I am talking about why it’s good to look back and see where you’ve been. This applies to business and to life. I am raw and honest per usual, and I think it’s a really good listen whether you’re struggling, or currently riding that high point of success.

I’m finally back! After a family emergency, a birthday, and a massive sale, I am finally back.
